For anyone wondering if this is safe, it is 100% safe. It is impossible to break your card without flashing a custom bios. I would also suggest doing your own overclock rather than the scanner because you will get better results. If you want to do your own overclock follow the steps below. 1. Download 3d mark 2. max out power limit and temp limit 3. increase core clock in increments of 15 4. run 3d mark until you crash, WHEN YOU CRASH LOWER YOUR CORE BY 30-45 AND THIS IS YOUR STABLE CLOCK. 5. Memory is a bit weird because it is self correcting - this means the game might not crash but it will perform worse since it is fixing errors. the best way to do oc mem is to do benchmarks, increase increase increase until you see scores get lower. on my 4070 I was able to get the clocks below Core: +195 mem: +900
Hi andrew i would like if you can some help with my pc because im in stable 100cpu usage i follow all your tweaks and i would like some help becausd my game is running not bad but it should run 100 times better if you can help me say it please i se😊
@@user-tw7vb1pv8b u shouldnt attempt to overclock a graphics card before the 1000 series if you dont know what youre doing since they are more likely to get damaged
The scan kept cancelling itself after 40 seconds. So what worked for me is in your "Nvidia Control Panel" at the top left you will see the "Desktop" tab click on that and select "Enable Developer Settings". After you do that you will now see a developer dropdown option will appear on the left hand side labeled "Mange GPU Performance Counter. Then click "Allow access to the GPU performance counters to allow access". Apply and run the OC Scanner. Hope this helped!

@@khorvietechalso im very thankful for the internet tips, i was running on around 400 ping on roblox and im all the way down at 35 - 40 ping, big improvement
Probably should've mentioned that raising the temperature and power limit also lets the card run faster for longer (it'll start to lower the clock speed when it gets closer to the temp limit). Love your videos! Maybe one day you could do a video on Wi-Fi? :)
I've heard that as well, the only thing that wont save if you close it out should be fan curves/control. but as for the rest if its saved to a profile you should be fine
idk if this worked gameplay wise for me yet (so I'll update if/when it does/doesn't), but thanks for the guide! 3:00 long, no filler, no ads, no bs or rambling... tyvm!
@@idkgoogleitzZz Sorry, I got caught up with irl and forgot. Yeah it worked out for me! Not a MASSIVE improvement but enough that I'm happy where I'm at for now. Depending on the game I get like a 5-10-15fps increase! :)
Thanks Khorvie! Did you try the safe auto overclock from nvidia app? Looks about the same, but which do you think is best between afterburner and nvidia app?
Im using a latop with nvidia geforce rtx 3050 rn. But I having issue with fps even though that game not quite heavy though. Can i overclock it with using laptop. Does it shorten my card life or anything like that ? Cheers 😢
i downloaded your power plan from your ultimate pc optimization guide, can you quickly explain what it is and how it works because im a bit skeptical running a random power plan.
Hey, I am thinking about undervolting my CPU because while gaming giving it generates pretty heat and am using a laptop. so can you make a video on it ?would it be beneficial ?
Hey Khorvie, what should I do about my low Gpu Utilization? My CPU isn’t bottle necked and is usally running at about 68-76%, but my gpu is at 30-40. I’ve done your whole Windows optimization and your power plan, plus overclock. What else is there that I can do to bring up my usage for my gpu. Thank you.
if your cpu is running at 76% its probably the bottleneck. cpus never get to 100% since to get there they would have to be using all cores fully which no game does. for a shooter like valorant, expect your cpu at around 50% and your gpu at 40%. For a AAA title, your gpu should be at 99% and your cpu at 60 again.
Thanks for the tip but this one work worse than the last, and I can´t revert it because the button for revert the driver is uncheck, already try to do it manually in order to check older drivers of computer, but just this new one showed, any tip please? @@khorvietech
should i over lock gpu to fix stutters i have a 2060 and a ryzen 7 3700x 3200hz 16 gb ram i get micro stutters sometimes and will be 240 hard fps farming and drop to 130 in fights
@@khorvietech anything i could do for that? it runs at 4.10 ghz to 4.2 and around 155 process and like no hotter then 40 usually much cooler unless i’ve been on it for like 6 hours
Focus on closing out of apps in the background, disable rgb if any, reducing services could potentially help but not hugely, a good powerplan may help as well.
Hey Khorvie, I just did this and the network optimization stuff and for some reason my PC keeps freezing completely. I have to hold down the PC power button and force turn it off just to get out of it. I’ve never had this issue before, any thoughts on what could be causing this?
@@khorvietech I did some more testing and figured out it was just a Valorant specific issue, might have triggered when I was alt-tabbing to do the latency test.
I need help @khodvietech basically whenever I loads onto a game e.g Fortnite my screen turns black for 5 seconds then it’s fine but whenever I’m on full screen and click the windows key my screen turns black again for 5 seconds it’s really annoying and idk how to fix it
Hi! Just want to know if somehow, you can remove apps in the graphics section in the settings. Like the camera and other unnecessary apps there... I cant seem to remove them! Looking forward for this video, if it ever happens lol!
@@khorvietechI have another question... Can you switch to intel graphics card to Nvidia? If so, can you make a video of that or you already did that. Thank you ☺️
so I have this problem where it says "failed to start scanning". my NVIDIA shows up as "GPU2" and AMD shows up as "GPU1". and it says: "Failed to start scanning GPU2". What to do in this case?
LY too, i think safe oc will be a small benefit in overall frames but should hopefully improve those 1% lows. You would have to dabble in manual oc for further boosts
I dont have a tutorial unfortunately. As for physical memory that just means buying more of the same ram to stick in your computer. Or upgrading it completely
would this help with a gtx 1650 super w an intel i5 9400f on fortnite ? my pc runs pretty good, in creative i get close to 0 ping in a 1v1 map and in pubs its like 20 ping. I jus want a way to have less input delay on controller
Yeah this could help out a bit, since its a safe oc it shouldnt be too much but def help 1% lows. Heres how to reduce controller delay ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yN74JqZI72Y.htmlsi=q1VlrCtMeCf1EBj1
@khorvietech will it be greased towards fortnite, Or general? As some drivers r better for other games (I hope you hVe a fortnite section if its only general)
yo khorvie im posting this six months later but this is important, it will not let me scan the msi afterburner, idk if i should download the beta or final w.65, however when i click the magnifying glass and click scan, it was failed to scan, can you please help?
hey friend i have i5 1155g7 processor in my laptop and it has 8 gb of ram and it is capped at 2.5 GHz what should I do to maximize it performance to 4.5 GHz
If you join my discord, and go to the #resources page I have a powerplan called v2.pow that will boost clock speeds. But beforehand make sure that none of your cores are parked with a program like park control from bitsium
hey man, i need your help. It has nothing to do with this video's topic but its about my pc and since you were very helpful the last time i asked for help i think you can help me. So recently i've been playing this game called apex legends, and im playing on low end laptop with integrated graphics. Therefore, i've been trying to set on a stretched resolution like on fortinte. But, everytime i set a 4:3 res it put blackbars on the screen. I've been looking for tutorials on youtube but they all use their graphics cards software to get the stretched res without the bars, and since i'm on integrated graphics i dont know how to get rid oof these bars.(i already set the res on the game's videoconfig file) Pls help
Khorvie, my MSI Afterburner does not work,. I cannot touch anything :< my graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics, any solutions about this one?? your reply would be appreciated!! Thank you.
It likely ran into some form of instability it couldnt recover from. Make sure power limits are to 100 and maybe try unlocking voltage. If it crashes again i wouldnt try again, might not be a good gpu choice for oc-ing
In control panel make sure youre set to max performance under power management mode. And If its with voltage unlocked, try locking it again and run that default. Afterwards if it says voltage is a limiter then i think you mightve found your max on the first go
hi, @khorvietech i have a question i am on laptop and for some reason the fan control isn't there and i cant do anything or click on for the msi afterburner
i need help my MHz is (405 MEM) and (210 GPU) which causes me to have drops with a 4060, whenever i use kombustor it goes to like (2325 GPU) (8570 MEM) which is like 600fps but whenever i turn it off it goes back to (405 MEM) (210 GPU) it minimises my gpu and causes drops when i have good specs
For me, there is no overclocking scanner button and whenever I try to change the core clock or memory clock and press the save button it just reverts... Can anyone help?
Some people online said admin may work, make sure the window icon in afterburner is blue, turn off the link for fan control. And make sure you arent on a beta version of msi. Hit the middle save button to profile one and apply
@@khorvietech I have not changed any settings and I'm dumb so I can't tell the difference between cpu and gpu but I have a ryzen 3 5300u laptop with amd raedon graphics
