First of all, thank you very much for this video tutorial. How did you record the time-lapse in the top right at the beginning of the video? I am very curious...
@SergeWorks
@SergeWorks 2 года назад
Hey there Arda Kekulluoglu, glad you liked the tutorial. The timelapse is just a standard zbrush function (instead of saving the tool you would need to save the File, this way it stores all the undos hence the history to be able to create the timelapse if one chooses to (it is under movie menu - "forward history"). Then after I was done and exported the video I have comped it over my tutorial. Hope this helps :).

Hey. Can you please tell me why, when I try at the very beginning of the scale a small circle at 0:43, but my circle is growing all the way and I can’t achieve the same result as you at 0:47? Does my scale work differently than yours?
@SergeWorks
@SergeWorks 4 года назад
Ahoy Владислав, it is a bit hard to understand the question without the image. So you are saying that you made the same small mask (for a little circle) and when you scale, it would not scale at the same pace ? Are you using the same transform gizmo (that was implemented into Zbrush since 2018, I think) previous transform gizmo would work in a different way. Did you make sure you made a mask and not just scaling the whole subtool ? Maybe if you could have attached an image somewhere and post a link, I'd be able to help out better. Let me know how it goes.

In 1:47 you used sculptris pro plus what?
@SergeWorks
@SergeWorks 3 года назад
If you jump at 1:37 you will see me activating Sculptris Pro mode that subdivides mesh based on the size of your brush. Look at the top/middle, on the left hand side from the buttons Mrgb Rgb there is a Sculpturis Pro Mode icon/button (looking like a circle with a black wavy line going through the middle). It is a new addition I believe since Zbrush 2018 version.

(im beginner here, day 1 learning zbrush. wanna ask how you scale the masked object without affecting entire box ?) solved lol (invert first)
@SergeWorks
@SergeWorks 5 лет назад
Hi Rareksaa, if I understand your question correctly, what I did there at the very beginning was masked everything in one go by clicking Ctrl and clicking on canvas (empty area). It has masked the whole object then I unmasked a portion by holding Alt and painting the mask away. When masking means that part won't move or be affected when sculpting. From then on I used transpose tool to move rotate and scale. I hope this helps :).

@alfredclausen2593

You are so right, I often feel that time-lapses are not for learning but for the artist to show how good he is. Like look at me I can sculpt the titanic in 13 minutes but no one can follow even on quarter speed. Thanks
