@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 hey 2011 maxforce 13 red stop 🛑 on. Shop said high pressure fuel pump because it’s not getting enough power. Did that. Sign still on. Now they said it may be the wiring hornets to the motor. But they are not sure? Any thoughts?

@evanwingate7307 It is very possible. I have to say that can be a difficult call to make.

Thank you Sir! It is not always necessary to remove the complete housing. In my case it was helpful to do so Especially when the dealer is saying you need a new housing. And they are on backorder. Sometimes the Strainer area need more attention than the Fuel.

You may have (3) Relays side by side in the middle of the Firewall. One is for the Fuel System. Make sure they are good and also check for a blown fuse in the Fuse Box.

@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 hey Gm. I have 2011 Transtar. Max force 13. Trash got in my fuel lines after changing fuel filters which I didn’t know at the time. Kept trying to crank truck. Starter went out. Changed starter now truck cranks but stop engine light is on and truck shut down. Cleaned fuel lines out. Truck starts up. Shut down engine light come on, truck shut down. Please help.

Fuel pump ?

The rough idle could be several things. I would not replace the primer due to rough idle. I would only think about replacing that primer if it was sucking air. And if that was to happen. The engine would die out like it is running out of fuel.

We were able to take off the plunger while still installed. Three screws removed. Then replaced the two orings on the plunger with a duramax plunger rebuild kit for about $12.00 from Amazon. Eventually discovered the problem was an injector that had a loosened hold down screw. Ended up replacing the orings on the high pressure rail, a new harness and all six reman injectors. Purrs like a kitten now.
