Well, the outer scale of the pressure gauge is in BAR so base is in 2 bar, 1st. clear in 3 bar and second clear in 2.5 bar. Anyway thanks a lot for sharing your experience !
J. Lulo, I don't know where you came from but thank goodness i found you. Another clear understanding keep it coming class is in session and I'm learning. 👍
I have an old sata 3000rp....it's my go to gun. I've got some iwata's and devilbiss guns too......but that sata spray's the best for me. My gun settings are very close to yours....great video
nice work brother. I'm running 2 digital 5500 sata, one RP other HVLP, (those are my clear guns 1.2 tips) 1 digital 3000 (base 1.3 tip) and 2 old sata 2000 (sealer and primer 1.4 and 1.5) and an old devilbiss finishline fl03 with the 1.8 tip for heavy primer surfacer. I run all my pressures at 2bar 29psi, fluid wide open (pull the trigger and screw in till i feel the trigger pushing forward. Air all the way open and 1/4 close. for distance from panel pinky and thumb rule for base but closer for clear and run super fast with 80% overlap (just for clear). a little trick I learned about a super flat finish straight out of the gun is that I DA the Primer with 800 and a interface pad. I shoot OMNI which I know it says 400 but was getting to much orange peel and did a experiment with 800 and beautiful. I always tack between each coat of the base. I'm going to try out your setting and see . thanks Corey
WOW Dude you have a great spray gun collection. I have a SATA HVLP 4000 1.3, SATA jet 100 BF 1.7 primer, and 3M PPS 2 generation spray gun. I really like the 3M spray gun because you can change the tips for whatever the job is. It doesn’t spray as good as the SATA but I like all the options it gives me.
Newer subscriber. You got some good videos, I need to go back and check out more of them. I'm doing some kind of paint n body work 7 days a week right now as a side gig, and in the evening I catch a few paint videos daily. Always looking for ways to improve
Thanks 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. And it sounds like you’re hustling hard man. Remember to take a break sometimes you don’t want to burn yourself out. Good 👍 luck with everything you’re doing and I agree with you it’s always to good to keep improving your techniques. Take care man thanks 🙏 for the love.
As far as I understand, when making the adjustment of the spray gun, after adjusting the pressure to 2 bars, we leave the fan size fully open and adjust it only by turning the liquid knob from fully closed. We will find out how many rounds we will turn according to the model of the gun and the tip.
I use my paint gun for painting base coat and clear coat. I have a primer gun for spraying primer because you shouldn’t use your paint gun for primer. A primer gun should have a fluid tip of between 1.6 or 1.7 to fill the body filler properly. Now there is a 3M PPS gun that allows you to change the guns tips so you can use one spray gun for everything. Here’s a video I made of the 3M PPS spray gun video link 👉ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VUnsaStAPFs.htmlsi=V30HIvd7FT1Z_73-
The Spray Gun I used in this video is a SATA 4000 B HEART & SOUL special edition, with a 1.3 HVLP nozzle tip. My favorite Spray Gun since I purchased it. SATA spray guns are one of the most popular spray guns in the industry.
I close my fluid all the way and then I adjust from there. 2 turns out is a good place to start and then you can keep adjusting from there to get your desired spray pattern depending on the paint you’re using.
@@J.Lulo_ Try one out sometime if you're ever in the market for a new gun. I have a base and clear one and I love them both a lot. Sprays similar to a sata
