How to set up FPV on RC8X?
This is a FPV camera. The camera has a PH1.25 connector originally. We add a JST connector on the camera. Then we can supply power to it with a 1S lipo battery (The working voltage of the battery is DC 3 - 5.2V), and then mount the camera on any models such as drones, cars, boats, tanks and so on.
This is FPV receiver module for RC8X. We need to connect it to RC8X.
The FPV receiver module comes with a cable. Connect one port of the cable to the receiver module, and the other port to USB Type-C port and the earphone jack of RC8X.
After the connection, set the data in RC8X. Click the icon-- System menu-- External input output--Set multimedia mode from Audio output to Video input. Then the setting on RC8X is complete.
By the way, pop-up window defaults to close. If it is set to open, when there is any device connected to the earphone jack of RC8X, a window of protocol output mode or multimedia mode will pop out on the screen, then you can select the settings you want.
Power on the camera. The FPV screen appears on RC8X. If there is no FPV screen on RC8X, press CH1 button on the receiver module to search for the camera.

Make the screen larger, It really needs to be the size of a smart phone (minimum size) and oriented for wide screen on your next version of this radio. This is a great set up I have this version now. Now that there are plug and play FPV I think this is going to become more popular for surface vehicals more specifically crawlers. I have the Walk Snail system on one and that is a total game changer. Also dont forget Sound, its not important for air. But for surface vehicals it is very important to hear the motor. It also adds a great deal to the FPV experience with engine simulators.

@@Radiolink_official Nice! yes please keep developing this. You are pioneering this and you will own this market. Do not stop here with the RC8X. This is very cool and inovative and what the market wants. They just dont know it yet. When it comes to scale RC crawling the market litterally wants you producers to scale down recreate Real 1:1 vehicals exactly into usable 1:10 versions. It dont get more scale then putting yourself into the drivers seat of the RC with FPV. However for this to be a good experience you need to be able to see in high detail on surface applications. The screen on the RC8X is probably ok if you could just flip it 90* and allow full screen viewing option. But If its possible maybe go a little larger. Bigger is better with FPV. I write code and have developed touch screen interfaces so I feel your pain. But I really want to see you succees and take this part of the market. The RC8X is an excellent start and it really is one of if not the best radio on market at its price point.

Hi, sir. For the LED color of the camera, could you please confirm it with the seller? You need to use the camera and also a screen or goggles to use the FPV. You can connect the battery to the camera or connect the battery to the receiver. But please pay attention that the voltage cannot exceed the working voltage of the camera. Hi, sir. 1. Make sure the supplied voltage cannot exceed the working voltage of the camera. As far as I know, you can only use 1S battery to supply power to the camera. You can check more specifications of the camera from the sales page of it. If the supplied voltage exceeds the working voltage of the camera, the camera will be burnt out. 2. You cannot plug the camera directly into the receiver. Because the camera does not come with JST connector, you need to modify the connector with the JST connector. Hi, how can one mount the av receiver to the radiolink rc8x? There are a few videos showing how to use this av receiver but nothing on how to actually MOUNT it to the controller... So, how does the av receiver get MOUNTED to the controller? Thank you...

@RadioLink Yes I don't know why I didn't think of using double sided tape. I already have this double sided tape from quickseal company that will be perfect for mounting my av receiver to my radiolink rc8x transmitter. I just got the rc8x controller and I purchased an extra 8 channel receiver. 1 receiver for my Traxxas jato 3.3 nitro rc and 2nd receiver for my Traxxas trx4 kit with Land Rover body. I ditched the Traxxas electronics in both rcs.

Hi @Radiolink_official I purchased the RC8X and FPV module. How do I change the transmission power to 200mW? Mine is defaulting to 25mW only, hence the FPV range is very weak.

You can also check the details on how to set the power to 200mW from the manual of F121 here. www.radiolink.com/f121pro_manual Because F121 RTF comes with this image transmission camera. And here are the details: Power Selection: Long press the channels/power switching button for 5 seconds, the RED LED flashes three time means entering the power selection mode, then short press the button again to change the power. The power changes each time the button is pressed once. The BLUE LED flashes once means 25mA, twice means 100mW and three times means 200mW. The Type-C port on the left of RC8X is used to update firmware, copy data, supply power to the 5.8G image transmission module, and temporarily supply power to RC8X.
