How to set up lane keep assist on the Renault Zoe ZE50

I set out here to show you how to set up the Lane Keep assist and lane departure settings.
Please this is a assist not a full hands off autopilot like Tesla so dont expect miracles but it is very good in the right situations.

The thing I really like about our 135GT is that you can disable lane assist by default. I consider it to be one of the most dangerous things on a car, as a farmer most of the country roads don't have lines of any sort. Are drivers incapable of concentrating on the job in hand!

Lane assist is designed to keepyou from drifting into the other lanes on motorways its actually very safe and better than someone actually coming into the side of you, Not sure how you say its dangours its not Auto Pilot its plan assist, Its not Lane Keep its lane assist, I have found it to be one of the most needed feature on the Zoe as it helps make sure you never cross the line on a motorway or dual carriage way without you forcing the wheel or indicating. Country lanes you have to drive the car it wont work on country lanes.

@@RenaultZoeZEOwnersClub I said I was delighted that on the Zoe you can disable it by default. On our VW ID3 it can only be disabled on every journey, if its not switched off it's like having someone yanking your steering wheel all journey long on country roads, most unpleasant and potentially dangerous!

do you know if the lane keep assist on all zoes? or is it just the gt-line? or is it an optional extra?

That looks to be with the technology pack added. How much of it works on a straight Iconic?

This is a GTLine it comes with it as standard. You would be crazy to buy an ionic and spec it up with the tech pack etc it would work out more money.

Renault Zoe & ZE Owners Club Yes, I figured the same. I’ll ask for figures for Iconic with Rapid Charge and GT line with Rapid Charge. Thanks. I had a penchant on the Yaris to catch bumpers on walls (even with its rear camera). But I’ll get rear sensors on the Iconic. Its just the front I would worry about. I fail to see how you work that out. There is £2000 beetween the prices and Technology Pack is £800

@@TheBeggFamily Apparently, lane keeping assistance comes as standard on the Iconic line too. According to the brochure, at least. The tech pack adds the reversing camera and front sensors and the 9" screen.

I loved my 22kwh Zoe. I was going to replace it with the new 50kwh, I went for the Nissan Leaf 40kwh. I do a 120 mile mainly motorway journey once every 2 weeks, so why didn't I go for the new Zoe? Propilot. Nissan lent me the Leaf and I tested the propilot. Doing 60-65mph I can get the Leaf to do the journey without a charge. I reckon I could've done that easily in the Zoe at 70mph. Now where I meet the person at 60 miles has taught me I can drive at 70ish mph (yes officer) and charge whilst waiting for the person at 40-45kw. Once they arrive I normally have charged to 80%.... Thank you instavolt! So if Renault bring out the Zoe with a Propilot equivalent I'll be back....unless the Ariya grabs me! Now what do I do with my old OBDIII cable I made to change the Android Auto setting on the older Zoes ?

It was a toss-up between a third Zoe (ZE 50) or the MG ZS EV. I went for the MG ZS EV for the same reason. MGPilot.

@@manwithcorsae7738 is the MG assisted cruise good? I enjoy the leaf on the motorway. I find even in traffic on normal roads I activate it, it's great in start/stop traffic. I only wish the leaf had an E Speedo to view whilst I have the full screen showing me CRUISE info. I hate the analogue.

@@HairyCheese I was absolutely stunned the first time I used it. I turned it on by accident when setting the cruise control and felt the steering tugging against me. I let go and the car was almost driving itself. It's not quite a Tesla, but darn close.

Lane Keep assist and lane departure was on in my car and it wanted to drive me into the wire divider on the highway

As mentioned when I went on the launch with Renault last year its in the city car class so something Renault didn't add

I'm glad someone else struggles with the menus on a Zoe. The design of what goes where is utterly appalling. No option but to just keep hunting around and then memorize where each one is.

Not found it an issue what's so ever. Never had it.. Drive cars daily with the feature and more like Tesla model 3 and X etc and not having it isn't an issue

The only time I've ever wished for ACC was when I drove to the Isle of Skye (from North Wales) a few years ago. Cruise control was great, but it was so annoying constantly encountering people driving at 68mph! It's really helpful on a very long journey, but for the types of journey I do with my current Zoe, I can live without it, and will probably live happily without it in my ZE50 when it arrives.

It's not as good as the Niro I had - that was literally amazing and had ACC but this not bad

Sets easily, but after trying a tesla, it seems to "bounce" across the lane. Disabled as its useless!

@@RenaultZoeZEOwnersClub I'm not comparing it to autopilot, lane keep assist on a straight motorway was bouncing me from edge to edge of the lane. LDW kept going off through puddles

@@joking8189 it will do its lane keep assist not autopilot.. Its to stop you crossing the line and does a perfect job for this.
