In this video, we show you how to set up motion & smart events on your Gen2 Hikvision Cameras.
Gen 2 cameras by Hikvision have done away with the red motion detection blocks and have also introduced Target detection. Target detection enables you to filter out events that are human or vehicles.

On a HVR 4.0 interface, how do you get event/motion markers on the playback timeline? Essentially I want continuous recording with motion markers. Please advise 🙏

I’m chasing the same thing, the only way that I know is to insert sd card and have internal motion events. You are effectively treating it as 2 cameras at that point.

I have a problem with my setup, on inteligent event i have my schedule set up only at night. But when power is down and system is reebooting the schedule is back to default and i have to change it manually. Aby idea why is that happening?

Hi, thank you for posting the video I have a question if I may? I can only configure this on one of my cameras, when I attempt to do it on the other it tells me "Not enough engine decoding resource" I have a two DS-2CD2387G2-LU and the NVR is a DS-7608NXI-I2 / 8P/S. Please can you help?

why have my gen2 cameras still have the red blocks , how can i tell they are gen 2 ? is it on th camera somewhere or in the settings , i paid for the gen 2 .

thanks , awesome illustration! I dont get this view on my nvr, 7608, firmware check says its updated , i can only do these settings on the cam itself. any tip? thanks!

can I see IVMS playback? Because I cant watch "motion" and "events" separately. Motion and events as "all events " in playback

Hi just wondering which model nvr you are using I have the DS-7608NI-I2/8P running V4.22.000 build 200418 firmware and DS-2CD2347G2-LU camera and when I go to set up motion detection I have the red squares like the gen1 camera on my gen2 colorvu.

Not only that, but the motion detection doesn't work. At least, I don't receive any emails.

What would be the fix on the HIKVISION Acusense fixed turret network camera. I’ve fitted 6 cameras around my property but when you speak through the audio it’s sounds disorder and like a darlick . DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL 2.8 8MP I’ve downloaded the update even though it said it was up to date. Any idea 👍
