A quick video on how to get your Frsky Taranis working with DRL simulator and a couple quirks/roadblocks you might run into along the way! hope this helps!
I spent at least 45 minutes trying to figure out how to set restart and reset switches on my taranis for drl and I just set everything up watching along with your video.. it was very helpful. thanks for the help!
I tried drl after a few months- getting a terrible latency totally unflyable. Never had this issue b4. I did just flash open tx 2.2 wondering any connection. I really like your vid! Very concise.
I don't think 2.2 should add any latency. honestly i'm using the older firmware on mine but lots of friends have the latest open tx with no issues. Not really sure what to try with that one other than being sure it's really the TX and not a computer performance issue?
Great video going to have to practice a bit before I take my quick one in the air. Been flying acro but with self leveling. Want to ditch that with my micro and go full acro. Have another build that can recover real fast and carry a good camera. I will definitely enjoy crashing in the sim with no repairs lol. Just subd.
Super este tutorial, gracias mi hermano ya pude jugar con mi control Taranis, ya que no era capaz de configurarlo pero con tu video todo ok, saludos desde Colombia mi hermano y LIKE....
Thanks for this. Question, where did you get the Mr. Steele sound file? Would love to have that on my Acro switch to go along with my RR intro Music on Tx Startup.
I just ripped it from one of his videos and converted it. I could put a video together on how to do that process if it would be helpful. It's time for a new sound clip now anways
I'm consistently getting the message 'no hardware' on the simulator. This is the same message that appears if my usb is completely unplugged. My taranis x9d plus is connected and turned on in/correctly plugged in via mini usb. Is there a common step I'm missing?
Hey CrashAndRebuild, I followed your instructions to a "T" and my pitch, roll, yaw all start from the center and only works half way... any idea why? and how to fix it? Thanks.
If you go into your servos page and move whichever channel you have selected, do you see your range up top go from ~1000 to ~2000 (mine is 99us to 2012us)? also, did you make sure you centered all your sticks when it said to center all of your sticks?
My problem is the throttle is being recognised by DRL as a switch so I get either no throttle or max throttle. Ive tried lots of things but nobody else has had this issue and ive ran out of ideas. Using xbox pad instead.
fixed it, but now the chopter always has throttle, so It just takes off, I can do everything else just cant land because there always throttle? Any tips?
Unfortunately I don't have a 9xr to test that out but i'm sure there's a way to get it working. Worst case scenario you could get one of those buddy box port to usb dongles at least.
Did you make sure to turn your taranis on before plugging it in? It won't turn on if it's not on first. Also, lots of those Mini USB cables are power-only cables, no data. Give another cable a try, preferably one you KNOW transfers data (came with something to connect it to the computer not just as a charger cable).
