Question I don't understand you drew lines on front of fabric then you said in back fabric 11/2. Don't understand...all away around is it because they back is different than the front?of it is do it put batting in the back?please help new sewer thank you for your time
@lindamartin2073 Hi, the drawn lines are the “quilting” stitches to sew the 3 pieces together so no shifting will happen when using. You have a back, front and then either insul bright or cotton batting which is in the middle of the front and back. The reason the back fabric is larger by 1 ½” because we use the back fabric as binding as well. Happy Sewing!
Hi, The fabric is from designer Henry Glass Fabrics, its been awhile since I purchased from a local quilt shop however a Etsy shop I have seen has some of the Christmas truck fabric in stock. Their shop name is: My Holly Berry Designs. It truly is a beautiful print. Happy Sewing!
When you say something like I increased my stitch length, you really should tell people what that stitch length is. And it looks like you are using a Juki so why did you not use the attachment for the walking foot so you don’t have to spend time marking your fabric every 2 inches? You can always state in your videos that if you don’t have this type of attachment to market every 2 inches. And there is a way to do self binding where you can miter the corners I thought that’s what you were going to do.
Hi, my walking foot does not have an attachment for a guide, my brother machine broke so I have resorted to using my Juki for all my sewing. I appreciate your feedback and I did not do mitered corners for a new sewer. Thanks Again and Happy Sewing !❤️
@@deescraftingcorner Which model Juki do you have? I just got the TL 18 and it comes with a walking foot and the attachment actually gets screwed into those holes that are on the right side of the needle plate Sometimes I get my Juki confused with my singer quantum which has a different type of attachment for a guide
@@deescraftingcorner I just purchased my Juki TL 18 last month so I am still learning this machine however I looked in the manual and it’s called a quilt guide bar. And are you aware of Juki Junkies? They have a lot of RU-vid tutorials on this machine as well as a retail shop in Florida. They would be a good idea to call and ask if you needed a separate I should say if the walking foot on yours will also utilize the quilt bar. That was a long and crazy sentence but I think you know what I’m trying to say Oh I just sent a text message to my friend who is also a Juki dealer and she says that yes you can use the same quilt guide bar for your walking foot so treat yourself and order one from your dealer or Juki Junkies Definitely worth a try it is a timesaver for sure
@dcwatashi Hi and yes I've seen the option to purchase the attachment for the walking foot separately but it only goes up to little over 2", for my baby quilts I need minimum of 4". I also follow the Juki Junkies, they really provide great info and I have not ordered from them however they seem like they would have great customer service and fast shipping. I have had my machine almost a year and truly love it, I chose the TL2010Q for the speed control ( sometimes I can have a heavy foot) lol Thanks again for the info, I truly appreciate it!
