Hi Lisa, I know this video is nearly 3-years old. It just happened to pop up when I turned onto RU-vid. I watched it regarding the 2-types of napkins. I have seen Mitered corners on various videos, but you make it so very easy to make. As a beginner, I can now make napkins!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

This is a perfect video. I don't know why, but I needed someone to give me permission to do the reversible napkin. I know *how* to do it, but everyone has the mitered corner napkin as their demonstration on the 'net. I don't like hemming, so I was looking for someone to say a double-layer napkin is okay. I have a bunch of flannel spit-up cloths from a family friend from when my daughter was a baby that I use all the time for quick wipe ups and napkins. Funny how, watching someone on youtube grants you permission to do what you wanted to in the first place!

Can you use an inch hem instead of a half inch using the first method in this video to miter the corners? I want a slightly bigger hem.

Thank you so much for this video. I use cloth napkins all the time and have a bunch of them from the thrift store. They are all mismatched. Looking forward to making some nice matching sets.

@@FunstuffcraftsLisaWelander I've made one so far and working on my edging techniques, both sewing the corners and general hemming. I have some great fabrics to use. Trying to figure out which is the best presser foot to use - any suggestions?

Fabrics need to be washed! Fat quarters still need to be fiddled w to be On Grain in both directions (no way 'skewed' and the two pieces assembled off-grain! ) I'm sorry, but FQs, thru my experiences seldom layer together nicely unless the 'pre-steps' are done to ensure high quality craftsmanship. Especially if they are being marketed
