I absolutely loved this tutorial, not to brag but you've made me realize I'm in the right path, I don't own professional gear whatsoever but I'm glad I'm on the same page as of where to stand or what kind of shots to look for. If on the upcoming videos you can comment maybe making a list of do's and don't's it'd be GREAT! keep up the tutorials coming I LOVE them!

Hey Jib. Excellent work as always. Is it just me or its with everyone, I like the B&W pics to be better than the coloured ones, i mean they make more of an impact and get the WOW factor. And btw your B&W pics are just awesome, i mean i have tried so many time converting my pics to B&W but they are no way near to the ones that you put out. Once again, excellent work and please keep them coming!!

I have a question. At 16:16 in the video you spoke about not using the strobes because the ceiling was dark. Could you have bounce the strobes by point the strobe at the wall? The wall seems to be light in color.

Thank you so much for the videos! Amateur over here that wants to learn :)) I have a Nikon D3100 with the stock lens. I want up grade my Lens but confused on what to buy. Also what flash do you recommend I should upgrade too? I want to take pictures of newborns, couples & kids and hopefully a wedding in the future. I just had a session with a newborn but was way to white & bright. What do you think i did wrong? I shot only in the aperture mode i think it was F4.

What lens were you using for those ring shots and close ups of the details? Also was there a particular reason you chose to set up studio strobes opposed to using a speed light on your camera? I am guessing using the strobes allows you to move around and get a decent shot wherever you go? You would only set them up if the church or venue was really dark correct? Thanks in advance!

Hi love your videos, What can you do when a wedding is at a church that is old and not very appealing? How can you still get some great shots? Would all the shots have to be close ups? Not sure what to do? Thanks for the videos they are very helpful.
@deadmikehun

at what circumstances do you not recommend using big high power studio strobes inside a church? i guess the walls have to be pretty bright so the flash light can bounce back.

Can you do a video on how to edit your images in Photoshop/LightRoom? How do you workflow so efficient, and finally how to your images look so professional? I have a 7D and 24-70mm L 1 and 2 and I can not get those images to look the way you make them look. I'm always shooting manually and I'm 99.9% sure I'm doing everything right on my Camera. Please help. Thanks.

I have to shoot a wedding that will be taking place in a hall. However, the reception tables are staying for the ceremony as well. The room is rectangular and they are walking out through the door far towards the left, walking in between tables, cutting in front of a row of chairs that people will be sitting in and then down and "isle" that will be about eight steps if they're lucky. I don't even know where to get my shots at this point. And am I taking photos of the bridal party walking down? It's just the bridesmaids. The groomsmen will already be up there.

Hey Jib, can we look forward to some tutorials on how to get such vintage style and different types of B&W pics. Would love to have a couple of those as well, Also i posted a pic on your facebook page's wall, can you please review it. Its my first public post and your opinion will really encourage me to move ahead, otherwise i am very nervous about posting any of my clicks online. Thanks in advance.

Some religions restrict you to where you can go & do. I did a wedding where you weren't allowed on the altar, nor were you allowed to take pictures when the priest were talk, then there was a church with poor lightening and we weren't allowed to use flash. Rme. So with all the restrictions its a little hard, so its important to have a second shooter at times.

What did you mean you "weren't allowed to move" at about 15:00? Were there too many people around or did they say you can't move? lol.

@halo3guyy
@halo3guyy 11 лет назад
So what happens if u do walk around and use a flash? surly not kick u out and create a scene and potentially ruin the wedding for the couple, its all about the couple and they are the ones that want the best shots the most, bullshit rule isn't it!
