HOW TO SHUTDOWN LIZARDMEN! - Total War: Warhammer 2 Multiplayer Guide 

From what I understand here with the Lizardmen having not a lot of long range artillery or long range archers they will usually be the beatdown or "the aggro". Their job is to sow havoc into the enemy and dictate the terms of engagement, they want to take the early engagements because they can't outlast their opponents artillery hitting them from a distance. Their opponent has to try and control their aggro. These builds Zerkovich has shown seem to fulfill the counter, that is as "the control". The control seeks to slow the aggro long enough for it's valuable but slow archers and artillery to counter the potential units the lizardmen will bring, with some meat shields and strong anti-large infantry to slow the lizard monsters and monstrous infantry down. The only real issue I see here is the leadership penalties from terror units in the lizard armies will cause the control armies here a lot of problems. Massed infantry have a habit of running away if they're out of position. And all those extra units require extra micro, something that is putting even more of a tax on the control player. And it's usually harder to play control than it is to be the aggro. The lizardmen objective is fulfilled in it's army roster. They play themselves by attacking wisely. The counter armies have to utlise all their tools to counter whatever the lizardmen bring. The lizardmen have the advantage in all cases. The army with the aggro is the one that the other player has to dance around. It takes a lot of skill to handle aggro and sometimes the control build doesn't have enough of a certain counter to actually work effectively. The empire army in particular here seems vulnerable. Lack of fast cavalry and a reliance on those infantry is a tricky thing to manage. The demigryphs seem like a good choice though. A lot seems to hinge on using their artillery before the dinos inevitably smash them to pieces or just engage out of range. The Orc army seems pretty easy to handle too, if the dinos can smash the elite infantry all those archers will be swatted away like flies with no infantry to support or protect them. Not sure if Zerk missed them out on purpose but I think the Dark elves are a natural counter to the dinos. Strong anti large infantry, lots and lots of archers, plenty of fast archer cav and anti-large cav and their own large monsters to give the dinos headaches. And some scary dps units throughout the roster that make anyone pause. Another good option seem to be the undead Vampire coast or skelly bois. They play the waiting game the best. And they bring their own monsters and have some powerful lords. Their army being immune to terror just gives them a huge edge on the dinos Dwarves seem like a natural loss to the dinos, slow infantry and a reliance on artillery makes them easy to predict. The dinos can choose all the engagements they want because they have the speed to do so. They might outlast purely thanks to the sheer amount of armour the dawi bring but those monstrous infantry could cause the dawi some serious headaches. I suppose slayers might be okay, depends on how well the dwarf can micro them away from the dino spells.

the reason the Lizardmen hate Skaven so much is probably that they have all those things, but still drop like flies to superior engineering.

Skaven have a lot of good options against LM though. Vamp counts? That's... A tricky one lol.

@@sim.frischh9781 oooooh yeah good point. And they even have a ton of ranged, magic damage. I took a unit of hexwraiths from full to literally 0 HP with a single, direct blast from a warpfire thrower unit. Skaven have lots of good options. Vamp counts need some love for sure.

@@kelleren4840 Not at all, you just have to play them to their strengths and, more importantls, to the enemy´s weaknesses. Skaven are on of THE low Leadership factions and the Undead have Fear and Terror on basically ALL of their units. Take a bunch of Necromancers and create Zombie hordes right in the middle of the Skaven army. Then Wind of Death EVERYTHING.

Pretty much any race that isn't Human, Skaven or Greenskin basically endangered in the Warhammer World.

Honestly as it stands now Counts are just the worst faction for so many reasons. Flavour wise theyre far more boring than the coast and tomb king's do skellymen better. The lack of ranged is just stubborn at this point. VC don't do anything else well enough and almost all of their units are underpowered in comparison to alternatives. The only good thing they have is their lords which are honestly too fucking good. In so many matches I've had literally just their lord getting tickled by several units for like 5+ minutes.

Dwarfs kinda get shit on by Kroxigor rushes

If the Dwarfs get rushed by Kroxigors protected with Slann shield, it's over. No amount of artillery or missiles can stop that combination.

@Tex Usually I bring 4+ kroxigors and usually one unit gets through but then they lose to dwarf warriors
