How to Slow Music Videos Down on RU-vid for Aphasia | Stroke Recovery Practice
Singing and rhythm are very helpful tools as you work to improve your speech after a stroke, brain injury, etc. There are so many great songs with lyrics on RU-vid. Often these are too fast. RU-vid has a new “custom” way to slow videos down. Learn how to do it, so you can take advantage of the great practice songs can provide.

Can you please explain a little bit on how often and for how long should smbd help a dear one with aphasia due to a stroke 😢. How much is ok on a daily basis?

Thank you!! Your videos are a treasure to me in this time of suffering. My brother in law (42) had a stroke 2 months ago and lost his speech and his right side.

Hello and thank you. I ask people to practice for short time periods often through the day. I think this helps improvements happen faster without making the stroke survivor extra tired. I often ask someone to practice 10 minutes after breakfast, 10 minutes after lunch and 10 minutes after dinner. You can always start on the short side and build in more, 5 minutes at a time as your stroke survivor will tolerate. Wish you the best with the recovery 🙏.

Hello! I'm an aphasia patient and now trying to find the vault where all of the lyrics are gone lol. I can do karaoke but not sing with a radio.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q3Ojjg-9-Tg.html

I really loved your video! You are very funny! You would fit right in with my more advanced classes 😃. I wonder if you have tried working a song line by line- having the words in front of you: read it + look away and say it. Then the next line, then the 2 lines together-- bit by bit instead of a whole song? Thank you so much for commenting- I am so glad I got to watch your video! Would love to hear from you again 😍!
