Uh... Michael Hedges, Jon Gomm, Kaki King... Check out "drifting" by Andy McKee. Amazing tapping and that song has 60 million views...

Also, try alternate tunings if you aren't already, and make sure the action is really low. You can do that by adjusting the truss rod on an acoustic (just be careful). Usually the action is set higher than it needs to be on acoustics because most people just play chords and they don't want any buzzing. Not really an issue with tapping.

You like like Shmee from that car channel and yeah Ichika and Tim Henson use a lot of studio trickery to get their tone , I saw Ichika at the Naam guitar show and he cant play like that to a live audience so seems a bit suspect to me.

thanks for the tips! those dudes also throw some compression on their guitar and record with a metronome, then speed up the playback. (wouldn't doubt they do hundreds of takes as well!)

@@matthewchunk3689 Lucas mann (the dude from rings of saturn) and Manuel Fernandes (The dude from unprocessed) they both play this kind of crazy taping stuff and they both have live videos and are the real deal. So is not imposible
