Okay so this is something i think i got from one of your older vids, but for the Beta alpha beta combo, you don't have to add the gamma cancel. Just beta alpha beta but make sure you're sprinting forward through out the entire sequence (the sprint forward is to anim cancel the first beta, i figured its easier to just hold sprint W the entire time rather than bother with timing it right after the first beta). When you do it like this, the first two hits (beta alpha) are pretty much guaranteed even without moving your camera but be prepared to adjust the camera upwards a bit for the 3rd hit (beta at the end), sometimes you move faster than the enemy and the 3rd hit whiffs, this gets fixed as long as you're looking at them when you do it, hence the be prepared to adjust your camera upwards a bit. Umm the other thing of note i want to mention is that Tenya's combos are defs maxed at 3 hits, but only if you spam them as quickly as possible, as you mentioned, after the second hit his combo becomes very dodgable, most times if you dont trigger the 3rd hit in time they'll just air recover out of it (the thing where they backflip with a little TWING sound and you cant hit them for a second or so). To me this does make alpha 3x much more valuable as its the most consistent of his 3 hit combos since if you land the first alpha the other two auto track without any input from you, however if you try a alpha 2x beta, or alpha 2x air melee, Tenya can send them flying in a weird direction after the second alpha making it impossible to retrack them and press the 3rd action before they air recover. Now that said i've got some adaptations for this, the first one is the easiest. I let them do the air recovery then smack them with a beta right after (basically time your beta with their "wake up" from the air recovery). Against higher skilled players they will more than likely try to hit you WHILE they're invulnerable from their recovery, so i recommend using a mid air melee to reposition yourself and create some distance before then lunging in with a beta to catch them once they're no longer invulnerable from the air recovery invulnerability. The second adaptation to combat this is to cut your combo from alpha 2x beta to just alpha beta. And for those with insane reaction times here's a little info to take advantage of, if you do an alpha 2x and you knock them in the air, they either end up infront of or behind you, you might be able to 180 flick beta them if you're quick enough. I tend to look slightly downward when doing the second alpha to allow me to catch what direction they're flying in as early as possible. Btw if they're on the ground (i.e. they have shields) when you do the alpha 2x, most of the time, after the second alpha all you have to do is turn around 180 in order to land the beta at the end. If you level up your beta first, this is usually an insta guard break too. Pair this with the beta alpha beta in gamma mode for ez kills. TLDR for people recovering mid combo is be creative, just cuz you dont hit all your attacks in one fluid string doesnt mean you didnt deal damage, one of my go to combos is one single alpha then air melee for distance and to bait out the air recovery, then go into an undodgable alpha + beta. Its still the alpha 2x combo, just staggered lol. Last thing i want to mention is about his alpha 2x, this is more often than not his best combo starter but only if you hit the first alpha, i've noticed that if you missed the first alpha, the second usually misses even if you aimbot lock onto them with your camera. Its like there's an angle limit to the second alpha idk, but if you miss the first alpha you might be better off using the second one to reposition/get height, then coming back in for a well tracked beta, rather than throwing out the second alpha as a hail mary. I’d like to add that you can combo from Gamma, Alpha, Gamma without the gamma cancel and on flat surfaces as long as the Alpha is at least level 4 and you’re holding a direction down like the forward movement input when you’re hitting/landing from the initial gamma. For some reason you’re able to act quicker after the gamma when you’re attempting to move.

Hey great video bro, I just got into the game and as a fighting game player Iida just spoke to me so its nice to know he has cool combos that I can do. I was wonderin if you can cancel Recipro Turbo when its activated? Is that a thing or?

Another combo I labbed that does good damage without resources if managed to pull off, is using second hit of normal, butnit has to be spaced properly. So it'd be m2, m2, m2, m23. You can also do any type of ender you want, usually want to go for Beta of course for bigger damage. Since you are only allowed up to 5 normal hits, and 3 quirk hits before they can air escape. Heck, you can even do m12, m2, m2, into air normal. Pretty cool 🙂 Edit: Also, I miss Mami Stryker 😢 that's cool you were a top player in DNF.

The thing about the m1 m2, m2, m2, combo is that it's actually ping dependant. The way knockback works in this game is different, and if they have high ping the push is delayed, i believe. It's hard to explain but if you do the combo in game or with a friend in training room it's apparent that it's different but it's hard to pin down exactly what.

This combo guide is almost definitive, but there is more to how his gamma quirk and beta quirk interact. You don't have to cancel Beta > Gamma to cancel the Beta, if you are on the ground, any movement can do it as well. More Gamma Activated Combos: (While holding any direction) Grounded Beta, Alpha, Beta Normal x2, Beta, Dash Cancel, Beta For the first combo, it works on health, but you have to start the first beta on the ground, and stay on the ground until you cancel it with your walk, then you do alpha into beta. For the second combo, the first beta needs to hit on health or cause a guard crush. It needs to be grounded as well, then you can run up and do your second beta.

I’m pretty sure you’re only ever guaranteed one alpha without gamma boost, the enemy can recover out of the first alpha. So you only start combos with gamma boosted alpha, no gamma boost you go for beta>alpha.

You need to do it faster. Alpha to alpha is always guaranteed.

You can cancel gamma with a lvl up card! But it’s probably a bug with all the other lvl up card stuff…

@@valkyrjaultrarumble I think it’s super practical if you keep one lvl up card for if you need it. Especially cause lvl up cards instantly go yo your first slot and you can use cards mid animation for all your specials!
