When the door lock fails on the washer, the washer can display an E47 error code when checking the washer for error codes. When the door lock fails the washer will normally fill with water, agitate, drain the water out of the washer but it will not go through the final spin cycle. If you are receiving an E47 error code you should test the PTC heater on the wax motor.
