It’s surprising that the experienced e-bike shop is not describing one common electrical problem, the LCD display connected to the power button pad got bad. Which problem can be nailed down by simply plugging the battery and see whether they can be charged regardless of the e- bike not powering up. If the battery is charging then the faulty is the display which can be easy replaced and the new kit of display cabled to the power switch on/off will be connected instead.
I'm in a small town with no bike shop around. I need to get my electric bike fixed before my first day at work tomorrow otherwise i'll be sweaty all day. After watching the video through I found the easy fix was the last tip at the end of this video! ha Saved my day! Thank you

I have a small electric bike that is brand new that will not turn on unless it is hooked up to the charger. When I have it plugged in it will turn on and it shows a full battery and horn honks but no throttle. When unplugged nothing will turn on. Totally dead. Any advice??
Well done sams bike shop, my ebike wouldn't power up,i watched cort and sam on RU-vid and learned my bike had trouble with the battery not connecting with my controller.as my ebike is a folding bike I think there is a problem with the open close folding of the bike this could be a problem with folding bikes, don't fold up your bike too much.I'm from England and I learn a lot from sam and cort.
My new Lectric XP foldable bike's hand-throttle stopped working on the second day. I informed the company but have yet to hear back from them. I can get by with pedal assist, but .. . .

My battery won't charge up it has 5 LED lights on the top of the battery which is all lit up red but the battery charger when charging is green on the LED light telling me it's charged, has anyone else had this problem
Trying to fix husband’s bike. Error 3003. They company, iwheel, slipped a ‘not covered under warranty’ into the manual for if you buy from Amazon or Walmart(never said before then- we got it walmart) and we can’t get it fixed otherwise. Trying to fix it myself but I don’t even know where to look.
Bro , i have 48v 500w ebike , After a rainy day my ebike speed cut off on its own , throttle sometimes dont work but today i just turn on the key and after some seconds my bike speeds up on its own crushing with wall , i was lucky that this happen inside my garden and not in street trafic . Can you explain its throttle problem or motor ??
I changed my back tire and now the bike is not working right. The motor is running very loudly and only runs for a few seconds, then stops. It keeps starting and stopping every few seconds when I try to pedal. The bike is alittle over a year old. *edit* I found the issue. The cable going into the axel got damaged. If I position it right, I can get the bike to run.
I think you solved my problem. Now, I just need to test the theory. I noticed my brake light kept coming on or staying on after use. At the same time my motor which is on both wheels keeps stopping, It feels very intermittent. Does anyone know what colour the break inhibitor connection is on a modern bike or if there is a colour code? Thanks for a great video that's 9 years old!

Does anyone know of a place that fixes E Bikes out here and Denver?The bike is called Green Bike Usa And the company is out of Florida, but they don't seem to be answering any calls any emails or nothing I tried for about a month Is of reaching out and no response whatsoever.. The e bike. Green bike doesn't seem to be working. I don't know if it's wiring issues or battery. Or both . I need to take it somewhere out here in Colorado. So I have an issue with my electric bike, the electric motor works and the bike ride fine, but while riding the mileage on the bike hit 500 miles and all of a sudden a bunch of things stopped working, it stops record how many miles on each trip total miles and also you speed, the only thing that works is the time on current trip and the motor, I already tried a soft reset and now I am trying to figure put how to do a factory reset but j can't find anything.
Can you give me your impression of a fault in my lombardo modeno 250. There is no battery problem. The bike starts off strong when suddenly the motor power just STOPS and the display goes dead. The STOP first occurred in POWER LEVEL THREE. A few minutes later the same would happen in POWER LEVEL TWO, Less than a minute later it would die in POWER LEVEL ONE. The entire bike was dead. I can hit the power button and it would light up and would begin to run but would stop in TEN SECONDS. I can hit the power button and it would run for about ten feet then die. The first 2 minutes i only watched upto. And he doesn't know what he's talking about 🤣😂 Listening to him going to get people to think their battery is broken LOL. I've built multiple battery packs Only some battery packs You can check voltage from discharging port & charging port. Some battery packs has one-way protection for charging So you get no readings from multimeter. And get no readings from the discharg port. BMS needs to be activated by display or switch. You may get about 8 volt to power the switch in the display. When activated you will the full voltage discharging port.
I noticed I'll try not to. I've written it in the wet a lot recently when I took apart the controller, safety box or whatever you want to call it and check my wiring. I went to the solder one of the wires that wasn't a straight connection is like the connection piece on the end of each wire. One for the battery went from the controller so I had to solder that together because the tips were so corroded I didn't think I could even clean it once I did try to clean it, it just started bending it back connectors. So much that they wouldn't fit back together very well either way. But when I tried to find a clean chunk of the wire to solder tools, I followed it on my back to the controller itself and the wire looked, chard what burned all the way 4-6 inches and I wound up having two soldiers. Basically about 2 inches from the controller unit itself could that have caused my battery to fail Or maybe the bms got tripped

And the friend was surprised I would order it when she had never suggested she wanted anything but the pedal bike she had. She has now ridden the bike two times and gives it a 10 and says it is very fun. We have some hills in our town that are very challenging to climb on a typical bike. But tonight she went up with the pedal assist and loved it. I was way behind on my standard bike, huffing and puffing. Now she is no longer lagging behind me. This thing is powerful enough that a person could go around town without any pedaling. She likes to get some exercise so on flat ground she hits the red button to turn off pedal assist and only uses the twist throttle when she's in a tough spot. The bike looks good. It is really a very nice bike for the friend. Now for me, when I get an electric bike, I'm twice her size and will be looking for a bigger watt motor and battery. But this one is just wonderful for my friend. I am happy with this purchase.
I have an ask Hunter E bike the battery is fully charged, but when I power it up I only show one bar and the battery display. Checked all the cables seem to be good The light and the horn work fine but cannot get the bike to operate. if you could please have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks

hello. my nakto camel 250w 36v bike has a good battery 41 volts as shown on ohm meter, and shows full charge on throttle lights. once i go to ride it will start to run down quickly. then it will cut out. once i turn the key off and back on it does fine but then will cut out again. could it be a bad battery but still read 41 volts? or coud it be another issue? the bike is 2019 and hasnt been rode much, but also was not charged regularly as it should have been. thanks for any help. i just bought a pair of these bikes from elderly couple on marketplace. whats weird is that they are both the same model but have different battery pack sizes. one bike is older than the other. both bikes read 41 volts and the other bike does fine, but the older bike (2019)model is the one with issue. im new to ebikes and i know nothing about them. very sad that i have trouble before i can enjoy the bikes
Thank you, Thank You Thank YOU, I just crashed my Sondor's today and bent the front fork forcing the front wheel into the frame. The front tire was pushed so far back I couldn't steer at all. I was able to turn the handle bar around in reverse and steer but I had to disconnect the front brake at the handle bars to make a 190 degree turn of the handle bars. By doing so I didn't realize until I watch this video that I cause the Brake lever to disconnect the Brake Inhibitor Switch and there for caused the motor not to work. It did work for about 100 feet but then stopped. Because I bent the forks the tire was rubbing and causing what felt like breaking, which I thought I might have damaged the motor because of over heating. That wasn't the case, once I fixed the Brake Lever everything works fine. Everything except the front Fork, it will need to be replaced. Thank you for making these very informative video's.

I purchased a new Aventon Level E Bike in Mar 2022, it has the cheap zoom fork, after about 2 weeks the front fork makes a clunk sound when going over some bumps and it's pissing me off, it does not do this when it's locked out though, does anyone know what the issue is? Or even an upgrade fork the would fit this bike? Thanks John
I have a Jenson pro I have a drill battery 40 volt and it's been working good..and the other day I accidentally hooked it in backwards and it sparked at the battery end and it stopped working but the control module didn't smell or looked burnt and I tried a different battery and no power still did I fry the control module and if so we're can I get a used one cas I don't have very much money my friend gave this to me for transportation for a job..Thanx
Like you said some useful stuff but I came here looking at how to fix a problem not troubleshoot poor design issues.... Had my bike for a few days and I made changes to a few things like placing a dam spring behind the magnet plate.... But when it comes to the engine itself you didn't give me any info that was helpful... My bike is make extra noise when I ask her to give some force... It's kinda grinding/whiting noise I cannot place... I felt like it was the gears but they seem fine.... Re-greased the gears and inspected the mint coils.! Placed back together carefully and she still makes this noise...

Hi, I just wired my ebike kit, following the manufacturers instructions, and as soon as you turn the throttle key on, it reads 51V and the wheel starts spinning at full speed. Crank the throttle and it comes to a stop and reverses at full speed, not good! Any clues?

Can you leave an e bike plugged in and charging after it is charged? We had 2 Jamis e bikes with the Hyena e system and the assist kept shutting off. They replaced the controller where the battery slides in and the crank sensor and both still had problems with the assist. Also both chargers quit during the first year.Maybe since we left them plugged it all the time it was frying something (the dealer we bought them from told us it was okay to leave them plugged in all the time)
i received a new battery which was too big and the bike shop had to move the thing the battery plugs into and now when i switch it on the lcd will light up and go off but generally if i switch the battery off and on again it will light up and its powered up sometimes i have to do this multiple times before it powers up. Do you guys know what the problem is? Watching you video could it be the prongs arent lining up right? Any advice will be very much appreciated...

I have an old ebike. A few months ago, "almost a year" i rided it casually in a bumby road and the throttle just stopped working. I opened the control box thingy and red and yellow wires that were coming from the throttle cable were damaged. Red wire was cut and yellow were damaged alot. So I have an issue with my motor when I let off the speed control. The motor has drag when I am rolling down hill if I am on level ground it's slows down. The first 50 miles was good but I am at 100miles now. Any thoughts

my pedal assist stopped working i live in a very poor area of a very rich country and none of the 5 bike shops within riding distance will work on e-bikes, I was certain the magnets sensor was the problem I noticed it can freewheel but still it must go past the sensor , but I didn't know were the sensor is now I'm confident I can fix it or be closer to the problem, funny enough I also thought if it wasn't that its the connections you spoke about
All 5 leds on my controller are flashing. It happened after I removed ( carefully) and replaced ( carefully ) the battery just to look at it. Why would they flash and bike not operate ?

Why not build your own and learn. If you have bike now,your half way there. Get a kit to fit and build your own ebike.Check out Bafang mid drive.That way you learn how to fix your own ebike.
thanks it was the brake inhibitor that was killing my bike from going. I pulled off the wires to both brakes and that was it. Now i have to figure out what will fix it from killer the power and working right again?

A simple error by a bike shop which turned out to be a disaster for me: Cyrusher XF-900 Rear Hub Motor; they placed the 'tab washer' on the wrong side of the dropout (disc brake rotor side) and the rear wheel eventually came off when I attempted to move. If this happened when I was already moving the outcome could have been disastrous. Both tab washers need to be on the inside of the dropout with the tabs both pointing away from the bike.
Im not sure whats wrong with my bike. I had it for 5 days and ive yet to ride it because the motor wont work. The power comes on but when I twist the throttle, nothing happens. Even pedal assist mode dont work.
well i have a problem, after getting up to a constant speed,and i use the brakes and the bike will slow down, but once i release the brakes the bike will speed up fast on its own!! the only way i can describe it is its like on constant cruise control any ideas?

hi to all out there if you have a ebike you got to be some carefull for that cable when fixing any thing on the back wheel my brother dropped the wheel hard on the cable there was a cut in the cable you think new wheel i will tell you there no need to bin the back wheel the pulled all the bolts out out side pulled the cover of the motor nub and pulled the cable in to the hub to where the cable was cut and cut the cable and re solder all the wire's on the cell i changed to molex plugs they are better plugs
