How to upgrade Black Ops Cold War from Xbox One version to Xbox Series X/S version

For anybody who can’t find it, it’s been moved to add-ons. When you search up cross gen, click enter and go to add ons and it should be right there.

When I click on choose edition on cw X/S it just brings me back to choose edition not sold separately

Ah, thank you so much, this solved my problem. I bet the game developers made it confusing to get the next gen upgrade on purpose just so they can snag an extra $70 out of everyone who bought the standard edition and then tries to play on their new Series S or X.

I installed the xbox series s and x version of it but the 120 fps and raytracing is not showing up for me and I restarted the game and my xbox fps settings on on 120 so It worked but not really. does anyone know how to fix this issue

Is this if u already have the upgraded version 70$price instead of standard 60$? Cuz with vanguard this matters a lot more! (It seems they want to double charge us but that's another can of worms) .. when really it should only be the difference between the 2 which is 10$ for me sooo If I buy the 60$ version now and then in 6mo or w/e get the series x would I have to pay 70$ again? Or would it only be 10$? Or do I just do what u did here? I'm confused as to which version you bought? Hey basically i have installed the cross gen upgrade and the full game in the X/S version in my xbox series S and my when i load up the game and try to enter it says buy full game and if i try to buy it, it says that i already have it and that i need to check my games and apps. Any help? Edit: i just realized that i didnt download the content packs so when they finish installing i should be ready to go

I have the standard edition that I transfered from my Xbox one s to my new Xbox série s , I was just hoping to buy the cross gen upgrade but then , I see that the standard edition doesn't even show up in my full library even tho I had the cd installed on my Xbox one? Late af. But I'm only doing this now So I currently have old gen Xbox 1 Cold war installed an download x/s upgrade version rn for $9.99 usd Can I delete the old gen version when that's done?

A good question, if you download and upgrade from xbox one x to series x the cold war game do you still keep your game files or you loose all your games saves and restarded..

I’ve already paid for the cross play bundle and it keeps downloading the Xbox one version on my series x it’s shows the xs symbol but had assets and ray tracing are disabled and can’t switch it

What if you own an Xbox One S console but a physical (NOT digital) copy of the game for Xbox One / Xbox X.? While installing (never finished) the game yesterday, I was able to play some multiplayer. Seemed to work perfectly w no glitches. Now fast forward , when attempting to start the game, it freezes on a black screen after displaying the purple “COD Cold War ‘Season 05’ “ logo w the female w an uzi in each hand. I just uninstalled the game from console and purchased / downloaded the $10 next gen upgrade. I’m wondering if this physical game will work on my Xbox one S. I’m having some trouble making this work. Any help would be much appreciated. ! Thanks

I installed the game 4 time but the optimised graphics arent there I only have the X/S version installed and it doesnt work which I find confusing because the game cover has the X/S sign on it and even the name says X/S but there are still no optimised options its like I am still on the old version even tho it says X/S please someone help!😭

I actualy have been playing the X/S version on my Xbox One for a while now,i didnt even know i did,but 2 weeks ago the game just would not start up,so i had to delete the game and i tryed to install it all over again…but now it wont even install the standard version that it says i own or the X/S version 😤 I own the standard digital edition,so do i really have to pay for this upgrade to install and play my standard edition ? I’ve done this exact same method 3 times now, it says I have the x/s version installed but in game it’s still the standard xbox one edition, anybody have any clues as to why it’s happening?
