How to use a flame thrower properly 

Good Lord - the title of this video should be "3 Idiots TRYING to light a flame thrower" and reported to RU-vid for irresponsible, danger to a child!

Just looked at a video on the sheen x300 as I`m looking at buying one ....you should light the wick at the back of the burner tube ....NEVER ignite from the front .

I have one of these and I run it off petrol it lights in seconds and has a hotter burn just hope I don’t burn the coil out quicker than necessary

You don't need to burn the weeds to a crisp just a single pass over them is enough heat to destroy the cells in the weeds leafs I've got the same burner as this they are very good also mine has a wick in the head for lighting it would seem yours is missing.

These light easily but you light from the back of the torch head were the wick is. I find i can easily light mine with a single match, seen allsorts before on alotments, bits flaming paper, bamboo canes with rags on but no need. A single match or better long match through the back of the burner.

"Properly"??? dangerous way to light the gun and lifting it up pointing it about??

The Sheen X300 should have a wick for starting rather than stuffing burning paper in the chamber. The wick only cost sick squid.

This video should carry a serious health & safety warning! (1) a child left to do the lighting (2) poking lit taper up the nozzle with fuel already turned on - and bare hands exposed!! (3) cameraman peering up the nozzle to see if the flame is coming out !!

Best method is to scorch the weeds , let then die and dry and return in a few days to burn off the dead residue

Ive seen a gun video like this, Go on little child, see if you can get a picture of the bullet coming out, just stand in front of the barrel and put your phone there....Bang, dad i ment to be dying....

How much ground do u cover on one tank at that level of weed cover, approx?? Just curious how sore it is on fuel. Also does it leave paraffin residue on the soil? Dont want that leeching into veg beds

Right I noticed that they used a paper Taper to light it: Best thing is a Small Piece of old Cloth Tie it onto a Piece of wire : dip the Swab of cloth into the Paraffin and then Light the swab and Place it into the Wand: But of course Remember to Pump up the Wand and then release a small amount of Paraffin into the Burner and then wait for the sound of the Roaring of the Vapour coming from the burner and then Turn on the Jet

Not sure why this is better than a propane burner.

i have just discovered one of these in the roofspace above my garage. prob been there for 25-30 years and hardly used.does anyone know if would be safe to try and get it going or is chance it will blow up in my face
