This is one of the best videos for router use simple and on point. I just bought a router just like your small one and finally I don't need to sand down edges I just passed them with the router. My final sanding now is just to finish the surface not to take down material. Thanks.

I feel the same way about mine. How silly it was for me to be sanding those edges by hand to get a good roundover. Now the router just passes right over and has perfect edges in seconds

Finally a video that actually shows how a router works! I search "how does a router work, and 3 videos in I found you. Thanks so much! I thought routers were way more complex, but they're not when you find this guy. I'm working on tables from pallet wood at age 14(almost), so I have to use cheap things. My plan is to make and sell tables, hopefully build sort of a shed(from pallets, and materials that you can't find for free which would be bought from table money), and move on to more high quality materials from stores alongside with a wider variety of tools, and make furniture during the summer, then sell it while I'm in school, so I can make a bit of money, hopefully plenty. I enjoy woodworking, so I decided I would go that route to get my family out of poverty. My dad isn't in the same as me and my mom because he did bad things, so we're surviving on food stamps... And it sucks. Again thank you so much, it helps a lot finding videos that make it easy, so thank you, thank you, thank you. God bless. 🙏✝️❤

I have Milwaukee m18 fuel router. It is a covertable router comes with a fixed base but has a plunge base available. I’d stick to small to medium bits with that router. I made the mistake of running it at 31,000 rpms with a 3/8th inch beading bit, luckily I didn’t kill the router bit because it’s a Freud. But I took 5 hours of useful life out of it from 30 minutes of use. I would tone it down to 18,000 rpms next time. I can tell the speed by pitch, middle C# = 16,000 rpm, G# 24,000 rpm, B 28,000 rpm, High C = 31,000 rpms.

Oh man. I was doing it roght and wrong at the same time. I got the one you can adjust in real time as my first router. The thing is, I was attempting tonmake and exact copy of a pre-cutted board and tried to do so by looking from a top-down view and couldn’t tell if the router was tilting. I did my best to keep it straight. I never thought of using one hand to hold the grip and the other to hold the lower side of the router to keep it as straight as possible. I messed up my first copy. But that’s how I learn. Next time, I’ll de better. Thank you for those good tips.

Loved this video, being a woman and never have touched a router I wished your video had gone a bit more in dummy detail. I have no clue what each type of bit does and I'd like to actually see you use the smaller router maybe on a small project. But your overview was great ...thanks. Going to have a go at it tomorrow.
