Good stuff. Your valve job went way smoother than mine (I was using harbor freight junk spring compressor). I had to fight and fight to get the spring retainers out! Anyway since you have it apart, put a little lapping compound on the valves and lap them to the head for better seal. I just chucked mine in a cordless drill.
Thanks for sharing! I received the btr valve spring compressor tool today and I had the same question on which way to orient the aluminum plate that you place on first. 👍
I've wondered since the 1st time I saw one of these, what that eyelet is for lol. I wish I had bought one of those compressors just to be quick. I broke Orielys on 1st 660 spring lol. So I made a great one for the bench out of a 12" clamp and welded the 13/16" spark plug socket you never use onto it. cut a window in the socket and it will clamp 400# spring with just finger pressure.
The only thing I highly recommend is valve seal fitting sleeves. $6 bucks to be 100% sure the machined sharp edge of the valve does not scuff/cut new seals.
