Thanks for posting this video. This is probably one of the most compelling features I have seen for office 365. Now if only you could have the contents of documents such as Excel spreadsheets or analytics dashboards shown in place. I can see this being extended to third party apps as well.
This is great. I just set up multiple Boards for different work flows and purposes and they are going to be a big help. I'd really love to see this integrated with Teams, made into a standalone system (instead of tied to Outlook Calendar on the web) and a quicker way to tab through your Boards.
Excellent video! I recently discovered Microsoft Outlook Board View and use it as a digital planner. I like the way it integrates with OneNote and Microsoft ToDo. Hopefully Microsoft will include more features.
Absolutely love this. One improvement I thought would be great is, instantly I wanted to be able to link tasks to documents, so I could just click on tasks and go to the documents they relate to. I could add the documents to the board but when you have alot of simultaneous tasks this will get quite cluttered.
Is there a way to share my board view? I have shared my calendar, but want to share my board so other project teammates can use it while I am on vacation. (Excellent video, btw. I watched it and jumped in to using Board View immediately.)
I accidentally removed the background colour of my board (had it set to pink instead of white). Do you know how to change the overall background colour of the board? I would like to change it back to pink instead of white. I can only find RU-vid videos that show to change the colour of the different cards and things you can add.
Hey Mike Tholfsen! I have just recently brought Office 365 (2019 version) (windows 10) and whenever I open Microsoft Outlook it says= "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. You must connect to Microsoft exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your outlook data file (.ost). Is there any idea how I can fix this issue and open outlook app like normal? Thanks.
Hi Captain Cosmic, 1. Go to the control panel on your computer, 2. Then look for the mail icon, open this and select create a new profile. 3. Enter your email details and set the new profile as default. That should resolve your issue when you open Outlook
I wonder if this would be a useful way for my administrators especially the vice-principals in my district to organize their work-flow? Vice-principals cover a lot of bases in both middle and secondary schools. It is the number of balls they keep in the air that makes me think this might be useful to them.
I can't find the way to add an old note to my board, adding new note in my board is the only way to add notes? I would like very much drop it from notes to my board instead adding new one in the moment
If you have Targeted Release (Formerly "First Release") it is there. Details here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/release-options-in-office-365?view=o365-worldwide
YES. All I'm seeing is "Goals" I've been trying to figure this out all afternoon. I see all these videos and documentation that mentions "Task List" but no luck for me...
