i use it with a razer atrox xbox one arcade stick on ps4, everything works great no lag and touchpad emulated by back+right or left on the joystick, absolutly awesome product!
No, the PS4 does not detect a mic or anything that is connected to the xbox one controller, however if you probably use a mic through usb or something that will work i assume. I dont have a usb mic to test that out.
Thank great upload. Ive been waiting since the launch of ps4 to use an xboxone pad. Xbox 360 & xbox one are the best pads ever. When you put an xobxone pad next to a ps4 pad you see the winner. The ps4 pad the left stick is in the wrong place thats what lets it down. The xbox one pad is sharpe and left stick is perfect and controls of games.
Hexalina the stick location on the playstation controller isn't "wrong". You just don't like it. Personally, I prefer the shape of the Xbox controller, but prefer the symmetrical stick positioning of the playstation controller. So, I bought a Scuf Impact. Shape and grip is very similar to the Xbox 360 controller, and it keeps the sticks where I like them. I see that as a win/win in my opinion.
Thanks for this! I like to play Street fighter with the D pad and the Xbox controller is so much better with more range of movement than ps4 controller. I do like the joystick but it’s not as precise and accurate as the D pad.
Now can you clarify on "new xbox one controller"? are you referring to the newer model that came with bluetooth and the new xbox one s? If so you'll have to make sure that the brook adapter has the most recent firmware downloaded onto it.
The adapter will need to be updated. Hopefully that does the job. I had a issue with the newer xbox one s controller not working properly with the adapter and in their most recent firmware it corrected the issue and now it works.
For those woundering if there is any delay for shooters, it is a very very small delay, there is almost no difference i could only pay attention to like a 0,090sec delay on the sensitivity (not the buttons) Yea its very low but im honest, for those who wants to play competitive on shooters with this. It works trust me
New sub . Saw this vid and bought it. Question: Downloaded firmware unto converter connected to pc. When I connect the converter the light does not go on? Any advice..thx!
First off thanks for the sub, and are you talking about the light on the side of the unit? The light should turn on even when you plug it into the PC or PS4. Does it work still even with the light not on? It is possible you might have a defective one. Does the PC detect it when you plug it in?
I got an Xbox controller special edition and its not working with my adaptor is it an update issue or does the controller just not work w the adaptor..if it's an update issue how do I update it
Don't suppose the button symbols will change in game will they? Cause i don't want it saying "press x" but end up pressing the wrong button cause the xbox controller buttons are layed out differently
No, unfortunately it will not change in game. Due to the fact the console just think its a native control being used. It will take some time to get use to it lol.
I've heard that by constantly using the USB cable to connect and play with a wireless Xbox One controller, it will actually wear down the USB plugin on the controller to the point where the controller is constantly disconnecting. That's my only real reservation about committing to using this product. What has been your experience with this?
I have not had that issue, however when it is not in use I leave the usb plugged into the controller and just disconnect it from the adapter since i have a dedicated xbox one controller i use for ps4. If it were to wear out I would think it would take a while, those usb plug ins can last a while.
Hi, I want to use my Xbox one controller for my PS4, however my xbox one pad does not have an AUX port for a headphone, it only has the xbox connectivity (day one pad) question is, Can i use the xbox headset on my xbox pad through my PS4?
From my usage and messing around with it, no it doesnt seem like the PS4 gets the mic signal. So the only thing i can think of is to use a USB mic or wireless. If i come across something using the xbox one controller aux port then i will let you know.
If your firmware is not up to date then yes you will get 8 min disconnect problems. So if you get one i would update the firmware right from the start to ensure you dont deal with that problem.

WIth this unit to share you press the menu/start + View/back button on the xbox one controller to have the share window come up.and the options button is the noraml start/menu button.
I know this video was posted a while ago but I just purchased one for Xbox remote to work with PS4 and It works but it doesn't work with headset plugged into the remote. Any ways to fix this or this is just the way it works?
no, unfortunately with my trying anything connected to the adapter the headset will not work. Only thing is if you are trying to voice chat is to use a usb mic to the ps4.
just unboxed my Brook converter and plugged it into my ps4 pro but lights do not light up but if I plug it into my xbox one lights turn on any reason why ps4 pro won't light up device
scottie bhoy I know this is 3 weeks later but I had the same issue and the problem was that the Brook usb was not plugged in all the way even though it felt like it was. Hope that helps you and anyone else with the same problem.
Everytime sony issues a system update on the PS4 brook will tweet out if there's no issues, but if there's a issue they will resolve it. So i will say less than 1 week of a system update. No problem, and thanks for watching.
You program the elite controller either through xbox one, or the controller app for windows. What you program the controller with stays in the memory in the controller.
Just got my Brook Super Converter today the same one that you have do i need to immediately update it threw my PC or can i put it straight into the usb port on my PS4.
I would say update the Converter first just in case it doesnt have the up to date firmware. Now if you plugged it in right when you got it and you are getting 8 min timeouts disconnects then for sure do the update that should fix that problem.
i got a question: would this work on a modern arcade stick controller? thye just released exclusive designs for one i want, and the Xbox One version got the better design, so would this be able to work as a converter for that too? or is there a similar product that would?
well the stick im referring to is the new one for SoulCalibur 6 by HORI, its not out yet, at least not to the general public but has seen use at certain events, but its called: HORI Real Arcade Pro (Soul Calibur VI Edition)
I know this video is old but I hope you still see this; is there a difference updating the converter with the regular firmware vs tournament firmware? I just did it with regular but the whole reason I got one was to use for a tournament but like I wasn't sure what to do
I believe the tournament firmware disables the turbo function and the button remapping. But if you dont use that now you should be good for tourney with the regular firmware.
Yeah, unfortunately with my testing the ps4 will not pick up a mic that is plugged into the xbox one mic port. I believe the only way is through a USB mic or wireless mic.
That will depend on the tournaments, for fighting game tournaments this adapter is legal. You'll have to look at the rules for the COD MLG events sometimes they will mention adapters like "conus" etc are banned.
So i tested this out and it doesnt appear this will work. The PS4 doesnt detect the headphones being plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the xbox one controller.
LegendGary323 thanks for checking but I had an idea to plug in a USB mic (ex.blue yeti) and then try it (for yeti plug the headphones you want to hear party chat out of into bottom in the headphone jack)

Yes if you change the in game settings to change the sensitivity and button layout it should work and the vibration does work. So say for example in COD you want to change the right thumbstick to crouch and you change it within the game on ps4 it will work on the controller.
No, it does not. If you buy this adapter and it does turn off every 10 mins then it has a older firmware on it and will need to be updated. It can be updated in like less than 5 mins.

So i know that u have to use a USB Hub for the Cronusmax, so your Controller wont disconnect every 6-10Minutes. Do you need the Usb hub with the Brook too ?
you dont need a usb extension unless you're sitting super far from the console, you just need the brook converter and any micro usb to connect a controller to the brook converter.
yes, to my knowledge they usually update the firmware if Sony console updates causes the 8 min timeout issue to return, then they'll address that with firmware update. If the Sony Ps4 update doesnt cause the 8 min timeout issue to return then they'll leave it alone for the time being unless there's some other bug or something.
I Havent tried it on FPS like Cod or Battlefield, However i will give it a try this morning with those games and i will get back to you with my results. And i am not sure what he means by depending on cord it shouldnt matter.

After trying it out with the elite controller i dont feel no extra input lag. Your results may vary though. I was playing on the asus vg248qe 1ms 144hz monitor. I hope i was able to help you out on your decisions.
Does this still work with the newest Elite controller? I was thinking of purchasing both that and the Brook converter, or going with the new Razer Raiju Ultimate
I would imagine it working just fine with the newest elite controller i don think there's any difference from the previous black one besides the color but dont quote me on that lol.
