The VA GI Bill tutorial - How to use your GI Bill. How to receive your GI Bill documents in the mail so you can register for school/classes. You get a book stipend and monthly housing allowance while in school. If you go on break or you are not in school you do not get paid for those days so it is pro-rated. This video is for military veterans, if you are active duty navy/military you can get financial aid from your command or applying for financial aid. You can also combine your Gi Bill with scholarships and financial aid for extra assistance.

So are you unable to apply for it if your transitioning out? I still have about two years left on my contract, but I qualify for 100% of my post 9/11 in 3 months. Pretty much I wanna make sure that during my processing out; I'm accepted into a university and I'm not having to apply during terminal leave or at worse separation.

I honorably discharged about 3 months ago and want to college in August of 2023, when is the best time for me to start applying for the GI bill? (I also have the Montgomery GI Bill and think i want to switch to the Post 9/11)

I’d get in contact with your college they should be able to help you along with the process and let you know the deadlines. There should be a VA office within as well to help you/let you know what paperwork you need
