One of the more challenging players, I think. But that golden hairbrush really helps things if you play it and keep moving it to her spot to build trust, then play Stabbington or someone to periodically send her back to the tower.

I like all three villains in this expansion! To add to your power play: I have a crown in Corona so when I am vanishing I get another trust so I end up with 4 trusts in one go.
Got 5 trust in one round and almost had a heart attack, With the Crown at Corona, two royal guards at Corona, one with the Knife attached, the Hairbrush at the Forest, Rapunzel at Corona, I started by moving to Rapunzel's Tower, moving the Hairbrush onto Corona to gain 1 trust, vanquished Rapunzel with the guards and Knife gaining the 2nd trust, discarding the Crown to gain a 3rd, then I played I Love You The Most, gaining the 4th and 5th because both Mother Gothel an Rapunzel where together at the Tower Went from 8 to 13 and realised I probably shouldnt have started crying but ah well 10 points to Gryffindor 🤙

I see no reason why Disney would stop making expansions for this game. It seems pretty popular, at least it was at Christmas time when I tried to buy the 3 packs they had available (I could only find them at one store out of the 4 or 5 I tired looking at, sold out everywhere!). Plus, there are so many villains that they haven't released yet, I think it would be a pretty poor decision for Disney to just switch over to making only the Marvel game. (And personally, I don't really care about the Marvel game 😂😂. Keep giving me those classic Disney villains!)
Hi Sam, just discovered your channel today and already a fan! The videos are good quality overall and your tips are super useful for a beginner like me. One suggestion I have for future video ideas: it would be sweet if you did a series on how best to play *against* each villain! Keep up the great work. Apart from your obvious knack for playing board games, you definitely have a knack for producing youtube videos!

Sweet! I've learned a number of skills with playing Gothel against my friends. This helped me even more. Thanks! Btw I thought of another idea for a Villainous expansion. A Kung Fu Panda expansion with Tai Lung, Lord Shen and Kai. But they each have their own deck but instead of them having their own Fate decks, they have one that is basically in the middle that can affect each of them. Now, Tai Lung has no allies. Which would be difficult to make a whole deck for him. But I think it can be done. The Evil Queen for example only has one ally.
@@LordoftheBoard Yeah I'm a huge fan of the Kung Fu Panda trilogy. The villains are one of the reasons. Lord Shen being my favorite outta the three of them. He's the one I'm mostly focusing on right now with making a deck for him, his realm board and Fate cards. I'm also going back and watching all the movies while doing this.

I have a gameplay releasing tomorrow against mother Gothel! Hopefully that can help some. I may do a series about going up against villains. Mother grothel's fate cards are not that great, as opposed to someone like Mickey &minnie mouse for Pete or Pongo for cruella. I know jafar has some tough fate cards that totally wreck him with Aladdin and abu. But yea, mother grothel really doesnt have any tough hero cards that really wreck her

For me the easiest: 1. Queen of Hearts 2. Maleficent 3. Evil Queen from Snow White 4. Prince John 5. Dr. Facilier 6. Ratigan The hardest (these are mostly based on how tough the fate decks are on the following villains): 1. Hades 2. Pete 3. Scar 4. Mother Gothel 5. Jafar 6. Yzma Any thoughts?
love the Lady Gothal deck! Feels like a middle to low “win percentage”, but love the all the combos you can set up. It’s def a play style that keeps you “very engaged on repunzals movements”.. always thinking turns ahead and reaching for creative ways to get that trust 😎.

David Moreno Requena haha yes I chose him as an example as a subtle way to say that it can be any form of defeating not just vanquishing for that condition to work 😂 poor happy! I will probably jump on the TS train I just really prefer real life cards and components. But I’m slowly getting there.
Great videos. I love your hasrd work with them. I have a question, if Rapunzel has an attached item when she is defeated, she must be moved to the tower instead. But does she keep the item?
Do you get a trust when rapunzel is moved back to the tower as it says so on the back of the card that tells you what each symbol means but it doesn’t say anything about it in her villain guide?

Mother Gothel is my main and I once got her to 12 Trust in a one v one match against Cruella. My last turn bf I won, I got 5 Trust, which put me at 12 Trust total. How I got it was amazing. First off, Rapunzel and Flynn were both at the Snuggly Duckling. I moved Gothel to the Forest, gained my 2 Power first. Used the move action to move the Hair Brush from the Tower to Rapunzel's location and gained the first Trust. Next, I used my first Play A Card action to play the Crown to Flynn's location. Second, I played Revenge to Vanquish Flynn and discarded the Crown. So, I got a Trust from Revenge, a Trust from discarding the Crown and 2 Trust from defeating Flynn. My opponent playing as Cruella had this look like 😳
Can patchy move rapunzel to her tower once he is already played to one location? Or do I always have to put him down in order for him to be playable ???
You have to play him at rapunzels location in order to cause her to move to the tower :) you can’t say.. use a move action to move him to her location and do that.
Lord of the board! Love your videos man. Question for you..do you start losing trust on the same turn you move rapunzel from the forest to corona? Or is it the following turn if rapunzel is still at corona ? Not sure if what I asked made sense lol. Thx in advance
Yooo I'm back with another question for ya lol so the royal guards, u can use to move rapunzel to the guards new position. Even though u move rapunzel back using the guard's. After ur turn she still moves forward correct? So now rapunzel is back to the position she originally was except for the guard
Deo Yanong yes! At the end of every turn you move rapunzel over. So it truly is like a game of tug of war and requires planning out not where she is but where she will be and what spots she’s covering. Technically in order to have most action options early game you want to go to locations before her so that she moves to your location at the end of the turn and all the other locations at the beginning of your next turn are clear. Hey, when your playing a revenge card, it claims you can vanquish a hero. To vanquish a hero, do I have to have an Ally equal or more to the hero to remove it or can I play that card without loosing an ally?? The card is not very specific... Thanks!
rachael smith you would have to have the allies. When it says defeat a hero then you don’t have to do a vanquish. But any time vanquish wording is used it is treated as performing a vanquish action :)
13:50 but would it not be 2 trust? Vanquishing her would be -1, the knife would be +1 (the the crown or knife can help you net 0) and then the 2 from the effect?
I just had to comment again. I've been playing a lot with family and friends for the past couple months. Gothel is the only villain I've been playing and I've had a lot of fun with her. I've actually won a lot of games. She's my favorite one to play and also she's my favorite Disney villain overall.
Gothell seems to have troubles against opponents that are quicker to win. Like Queen of Hearts and Dr Facilier! Also Yzma can win quickly sometimes so I’ve seen her cause trouble too.
Ok so we play at 3, i was playing mother gothel one was Pit and the other was the one in Cinderella, and i think mother gothel have a pretty bad way to get a win, she is not that hard, but hell she is one of the slowest for getting her objective done Pit win btw, we put like 3 time his fatality deck on him but Pit wtf So in 2hour of the game i finish with only 5 trust, and i only get 3 fatality on me, but was the most far from winning I was doing fine until it's that part of the game where you can't not fatality at every turn but hell its impossible to win if the enemy can win every turn if u didn't fatality Cause you can't move Rapunzel with efficiency and your starting to lose more and more, i think she is easy to understand but oh god win seems to be another pair of hand
I wonder with Mother Gothel now in are we going to see more current villains like Pixars villains like Mr. Waternoose (Monsters Inc.), Lotso (Toy Story 3) or even the current disney villains like King Kandy/Turbo (Wreck it Ralph), Tamatoa (Moana) (( I feel Ta-Ke wouldn't really sell as Tamatoa was far more enjoyable as a bad guy)) Maybe we'll even see TV Series villains due to Pete getting in. The future is endless with this game and I do hope Ravenburger keeps that gravy train rolling. after all....No one gets excluded from Villainous like Gaston!
