Mormons are not Christians because they believe in a false God, a false Jesus, and a false gospel. Here are 3 questions Mormons cannot answer on God Jesus and the Gospel. What are the LDS beliefs on God the Father and mother having sex? Do Mormons believe Jesus and Satan are brothers? Do Mormons believe God was once a man and men can become Gods? What do Latter Day Saints believe about heaven and hell, life after death, spiritual death, spiritual separation, perdition, salvation, saved by grace through faith vs saved by works, and eternal life? Below are questions Mormons cannot answer and problems for LDS to answer. Learn how to effectively witness to Mormons Latter Day Saints by learning how to ask these questions to Mormons which can help convert them Jesus Christ and they become Christians. Mormonism is false and Christianity is true. Examine for yourselves.
The main problems with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, the Mormon Church is that they believe in a false God, a false Jesus, and a false gospel. Latter Day Saints (Mormons) believe God was once a man who became a God by being obedient to laws just as all the Gods who lived before Him. Latter Day Saints believe Jesus is the first spirit child of a heavenly father and a heavenly mother who through sex procreated Him into existence, and over time Jesus became a God, and Jesus and Satan (Lucifer) are spirit brothers. Latter Day Saints believe that almost all people will be saved and go to a telestial, terrestrial, and celestial 3 heavens. Only those who are ex Mormons will go to hell or eternal judgment. The celestial heaven is a special place for Mormons who through obeying laws of the Mormon church teachings will gain eternal life or exaltation to become a God.
Questions Mormons can't answer are helpful in sharing the gospel. What Mormons have been taught to believe is false and they need to know what the true Gospel of the Bible is, the true Jesus Christ of the Bible, and the true God of the Bible. When a Mormon becomes converted to Jesus Christ, becomes a Christian, and turns from Mormonism to Christianity they will know true happiness.
Here are Scriptures and references on how to talk to Mormons in this video Psalm 90:2, Psalm 93:2, Doctrine and Covenants 20:17, Moroni 8:18, John 1:1-3, John 1:14-18, John 8:58, Colossians 1:16, Isaiah 44:6, Revelation 1:17, Revelation 22:12-13, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:12-21, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16-18, 1 John 5:10-13, 2 Nephi 25:23, Romans 10:9-13, 1 John 1:7-9. These Scriptures and references prove the teachings of the Mormonism are false.

I was raised Mormon and was also a Mormon Missionary. The Lord opened my eyes to the true Jesus, and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude forever. I'm the only believer in my family of Mormons. When people said Mormons weren't Christians, I didn't understand why they said that, but now I do. And when they said I was in a cult, I did not believe them, but when you're in a cult, you can't see it until you're out of it. Mormons do believe that they believe in Jesus, but they can't see they believe in a different Jesus (2 Corinthians 11). If an LDS ever reads this, don't take offense. Please keep reading the Bible over and over and pray to never be deceived in any way and to be willing to have your eyes opened if you are being deceived in any way. I pray this every day for myself.

It is no longer about who is considered right and who is considered wrong. God will sort that out. Our responsibility is to try to live by upright values and defend all people's right to peaceful practice of their religion or belief system. If one group loses their ability to peacefully practice their beliefs, the next group could lose their ability as well.

@@rugby4lifenone615 This is what Satan wants you to believe, and yet God tells us to contend for the faith, and we should be like the Bereans that Paul preached to, who tested all Scripture against Scripture and found Paul was right. You cannot have every religion as being right, but you can have them all as being wrong. You have the right to either accept God's truth, the true word of God which is in the Bible alone, or, you can choose to reject God's word, reject all the times you were warned, and at the judgement, you will be shown every opportunity you were given to turn from a false religion, but chose not to, before being shackled in chains and cast into the lake of fire where Satan and all his fallen angels are going. I came out of the LDS faith and found the true Jesus Christ of the Bible, who is God in the flesh, the expressed image of God, who is eternal, as God the Father has no form but is spirit and desires we should worship him in spirit. This is what Jesus told us personally. You cannot understand or gain discernment of God's word until you are truly born again, as the Scriptures are spiritually discerned. When I left the LDS faith and many years later started to read and study the Bible, asking the Lord to guide me into all truth, my eyes were opened and my understanding and discernment given, and it was a night and day difference when I realized I was deceived and thank the Lord Jesus Christ for rescuing me and showing me the truth.

That’s nice... however to be clearer, Jesus expounded on what it takes to become “born again” in verse 5. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Christ said in order to be born again one must be “born of water” which of course means water baptism... and also one must be “born of the Spirit” in other words, have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This wannabe preacher will not go this far in the scriptures because he does not believe in works of any kind being necessary, including water baptism. Or to put it another way, this preacher does not believe in the Bible.

@@vcspoerl7453 how sad to think God incarnate got it wrong when he was hanging on the cross in Luke 23:43. Dont be legalistic friend. Know that it is by grace A-L-O-N-E you are saved not of works so that no man can boast. Works (even baptism) are a form of obedience that are the fruit of your salvation if you are a true believer. With love.
@vcspoerl7453
@vcspoerl7453 4 года назад
Did you also fail to see the part where water baptism is a requirement for salvation together with an active faith full of good works??? You have also confused a strict obedience to God’s Laws with being legalistic. Legalism is the dogmatic adherence to the “Letter of the Law” instead of the “Spirit of the Law” The irony is that you are the one being legalistic by only applying a literal narrow interpretation to the parts of the gospel that you think allows you to put forward no effort on your part, yet you completely ignore or denounce both the clear literal interpretation or even the metaphorical interpretation of the parts of the gospel that says anything about works (either good or bad) In fact, in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount he never put aside the laws that were given them... He merely expanded and expounded on them. In a way, Christ taught that His Way was exponentially harder, that unless a man was willing to lift up his cross daily and follow Him, they would not be worthy to follow after Him. It is impossible for a person to be saved by a ”Dead Faith” the modern day Faith Alone movement is based on the doctrines of Satan. You say water baptism is not a necessity for salvation, yet Christ stated it was. Guess who I am going to believe?

Mormon friends who know I am a Bible believing Christian, will often forcefully tell me “We’re Christians TOO!” Rather than spewing a bunch of reasons as to where they’re wrong, I try to open a dialog. I ask them, “Do you then consider me a Mormon?” And why not. I also ask them, what gives them assurance of faith and life in Heaven, who cannot be forgiven, how can they know without doubt they’ve done enough to attain salvation? Rather than me holding up remonstrances to their beliefs, I like to ask questions that will make them honestly question what they truly believe. Three small, short books that are a great help in quantifying your own beliefs as a follower of Jesus are the Paul Little series, “Know Who You Believe”, “Know What You Believe”, “Know Why You Believe”.

Your claim to be Christian out of arrogants, and you so called "Bible believing Christians" don't even know the Bible beyond a few verses and you're very wrong about a lot of your Doctrine.
@chrisblanc663
@chrisblanc663 2 года назад
Your using a logical fallacy to “gotcha”. There are a lot of Christian’s from a lot of different religious groups. Are Catholics Christian? Are Protestants Christian? Are evangelicals Christian? If yes and you are a Christian then you are saying you are all of those religions. Or you follow one particular Christian faith out of many. Unless you state your LDS I assume your not, but I am confident that you are a Christian. Just the same you can assume I am LDS and that I am a Christian. As for the how we are saved. LDS believe that we are saved by the grace that is in Christ. Even the works, which can be partly attributed to Galatians 5 isn’t what will save. You do realize that LDS do study the Bible and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. In other words, the Book of Mormon would be useless if it didn’t act as a witness of Gods grace, through His only begotten Son. Also to believe the Bible which show the grace of God in all of its chapters. I know Christ is my savior and he performed the atonement for me, a sinner, who could never begin to show (through my works) the gratitude I have for what He has done for me. I know in whom I I put my trust, and I know that He is mighty to save. He is from beginning of days. He is eternal, alpha and omega. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Who parted the Red Sea and showed his wonders to Egypt to free His people. He continues to free those who will make covenants with him, and take upon them the name of Christ. It doesn’t matter to me if you don’t think I’m a Christian, atheists doubt as well, but I know I’m a Christian. My confidence is in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. On another note, I’ll check out the books you recommended. Sounds like an interesting read.

@chrisblanc663
@chrisblanc663 Год назад
@@karenschmidt965 that’s your burden to prove why God would not communicate with others, but would with those in the Bible. As for me, since nothing in the BOM contradicts the Bible, and in fact testifies of Christ, I don’t see any reason not to read it. I’ve read peoples incorrect interpretations about how the BOM contradicts the Bible, but they are always misapplying the scriptures. For example, people say that the BOM claims God raped marry. But it’s as quiet about the conception method as the Bible is. So if the BOM claims God rapes a woman, then you have to believe the Bible makes the same claim. I don’t pretend to know how a God would get a woman pregnant, and chalk it up to “miracle” All we know is that Mary conceived a child as a virgin. Both testify of that fact, and nothing more. Again I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe the Bible to be the word of God, and the BOM to be another testament of Jesus Christ, and they show how God loves all of His creations. Can you explain to me why you would consider someone who believes in the literal same historical person Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, God of the universe, and follows the teachings found in the same New Testament is somehow NOT following the same historical person as others who follow that person? I understand if you say I follow Him incorrectly. I understand if you say I understand Jesus differently then you do. But to straight up say, “no, you are following a different person” when I read the same Gospel, (which as you mentioned, is riddled with historical proof) as you is just bizarre to me. It’s like saying Joe Biden isn’t my president, just because you and I may disagree with each other about his foreign policy. (I’m assuming your American). Or the Mark Antony I read about from Plutarch is a different one that you read from Plutarch, just because I also read a Shakespeare play where the character makes an appearance. (Notice I’m giving you an edge here since Shakespeare’s account is fiction, and you assume the BOM is fiction) yet we would still know about the factual Mark Antoni just the same. I believe there was a literal Jesus who taught His gospel in the holy land, just the same as we read in the gospels. I happen to also believe he taught remnants of Abraham’s posterity the same gospel. You can think of that as Shakespeares’ (not to call Smith a great author) Mark Antoni.

Hebrews 9:27 is hardly definitively undermining what we believe. It’s basically taking out of context what was said in that passage. 1 Peter 3 talks about Christ preaching to the spirits in prison after his death. Well where was that place? What prison? And then the following chapter 4 Peter talks about preaching the gospel to the spirits that have lived and died. If you are immediately judged after death what’s the point of preaching to the gospel if you’ve already been judged at that point? I don’t see why it’s offensive to some evangelicals to conceive of a God who creates so much grace that he’s going to create a heaven with degrees so that those you are most willing to live the most aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ would feel the most comfortable closest to his presence and that those who are unwilling to live that lifestyle would receive a lesser degree where they would feel the most comfortable not held to a standard that they’re unwilling to live up to but still enjoying the love of God to the degree to which they are capable. Why does that bother people? If you want to preach Grace, and we should, then his grace being expressed after death should not be shocking to any Christian

Why does that bother people?"* Because that's not anywhere in the scripture in the Bible, and instead the scriptures, both Jesus and the Apostles, spoke of the complete opposite to this. As Christians, we do not just believe what we think sounds the nicest. We believe the truth of God's word, and we stick to the truth of God's word and judge all things against the truth of Gods word. It's as simple as that. You either believe and you're saved, or you don't believe and you are condemned already. (John 3:18) You are not saved by works, but by grace through faith. If you don't "live up to" the "lifestyle", it doesn't mean you're not saved. You are entirely justified by the blood of Christ. If you have the Holy Spirit, you will have a relationship with Christ one way or another while you walk this Earth, some are better servants than others. Some receive better rewards than others. Yet all who believe are saved, so we can rest assured we have eternal life, you cannot work your way into heaven or any "heaven". Be at peace in you faith and trust in Christ, it is his righteousness, the righteousness of God that saves you, not your own righteousness. This is what you do not understand nor believe. You cannot make it to heaven if you trust in your own works to save you, period. You have fallen from grace. You see, that is the grace of God. You talk about grace like you believe in a greater grace. But you don't. You believe in grace based on the merit of your own works. Whereas as Christians, we believe all who truly believe and receive the holy spirit, are saved with all the riches and glory God bestows on us in heaven, as a free gift. That is the true grace of God! What you say, completely contradicts Jesus and the entirety of the Bible. *"If you are immediately judged after death what’s the point of preaching to the gospel if you’ve already been judged at that point?"* You are actually judged on the day of judgement. The grave is essentially a holding place, until that day comes. Notice, it doesn't say he went to preach to all spirits in prison. Only to those before the flood, which was thousands of years ago. It is possible that God deemed these people worthy of the chance to hear the gospel plainly, given the time period and situation they were in, for whatever reason. Therefore God gave them the chance to hear plainly the gospel once and for all, before the day of judgement. That has nothing to do with the day of judgement. On that day, all will be resurrected, those who believe into eternal life. Those who don't believe, into eternal judgement.

That means you believe in your works to make it there. The scriptures in the Bible tell us the complete opposite. That by grace through faith in the gospel of the Bible, not works, we are saved. And *all* who are saved, will live in the presence of God in heaven for eternity. There is no distinction. You are either saved entirely by grace through faith, not works, and are given eternal life in the presence of God, or, you do not trust in the gospel of the Bible by faith alone, and you are separated from God forever into the outer darkness (lake of fire). *This* is what Jesus and the apostles tell us very plainly, very clearly, in the Bible. What you believe is works based in order to live in the presence of God. There are only two paths, two types of people saved or unsaved. The saved, live in the presence of God forever, the unsaved, eternal damnation away from the presence of God, in the outer darkness.

Here is the problem we have with an in-law who is LDS. She married a Mormon, and knows next to nothing about what the Mormon church believes. When we bring up scripture to refute Mormon teachings, she completely shuts down, says she doesn’t want to know because we will never get her to change her mind. It’s really sad.

I'm not Mormon but I don't think that Mormons can't answer those questions but rather, they will answer them in a way that they believe it to be true. As a Christian I believe you are 100% correct but honestly, I sometimes question faith. I question faith because there are so many good people in the world and some of these people practice so many different forms of faith that I find it hard to beleive that if they are not Christian and they believe in a different God that they are not going to Heaven. If people are born into let's say the Muslim faith, this is the faith they know so how can they be punished for that? I don't know, just things that I have thought about from time to time.

Great question! That doesn’t sound like a loving, merciful god. And that’s because that isn’t how it is. God is merciful and loving, he loves the “world” (which seems pretty inclusive) and so gave his only begotten son. Those born in situations to never hear of Jesus Christ surely cannot be damned because of it. I think you’ll find that the beliefs and doctrines of the LDS church, and the expressions of the love of God and the infinite nature of Christ’s atonement found therein are more inclusive, expansive and sound than the limitations some Christian beliefs seem to put on God.

This is where the three degrees of glory come into play. With all the many people who fall in between Heaven and hell would it not make sense that a loving Father would build a home for everyone? That is why there are three degrees of glory in heaven. The telestial, terrestrial and the celestial. It is mentioned in, I think Mathew where he talks about the stars, the moon and the sun. But it kind of feels incomplete as if something more was said about it but not put in there. We could say stars/telestial glory, moon/terrestrial glory and sun/celestial glory. There will be those who go to hell but the rest will find their place in heaven for sure but you will go where you are most comfortable being. I fully believe it is the grace of God through the atonement that we will get into heaven but mainstream Christians believe you don't have to work to get there you are just plain saved by grace. Well, if you fall down into a big hole and someone lowers a ladder down to you you will have to put forth the effort to climb that ladder. It is effort/work to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Think about the ten commandments. Some of those can take real effort and for some, down right hard work to follow them so when people say you can't earn your way to heaven, well that just isn't correct. We are saved by grace after we have done all that we can do. Thanks for leaving a positive/intelligent comment.

daveisgreat, well, a Muslim would be fine if he never sinned. The issue is that no person, regardless of background, can keep God's moral law ( the 10 Commandments is His standard of goodness). So Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddists, atheists, agnostics... everybody needs a Savior. The Bible demonstrates that no one is righteous, no one is good, and God shows no partiality. God punishes people for sin, which is lawlessness .Anyone can be forgiven of their sins regardless of their religious background,, if they confess sin, repent and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. John 3:16 says " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". This is an open invitation to everyone, Dave. God invites everyone, but He sets His own terms, since He made the ultimate sacrifice, His Son, Jesus Christ died on the cross to take our place. Jesus is without sin. Read the Bible. The books of John and Romans are a good place to start.

Just one more tidbit regarding meaning in the Bible. Colossians 1:16 was quoted to support the belief that Jesus created everything. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" "Everything" in the Bible does not always mean every single solitary thing. Jason David BeDuhn states: All is commonly used in Greek as a hyperbole, that is, an exaggeration. The other is assumed. In one case, Paul takes the trouble to make this perfectly clear. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul catches himself saying that God will make all things subject to Christ. He stops and clarifies that of course when he says all things he doesn't mean that God himself will be subject to Christ, but all other things will be, with Christ himself subject to God. There can be no legitimate objection to other in Colossians 1 because here, too, Paul clearly does not mean to include God or Christ in his phrase all things, when God is implied in the subject, and Christ the explicit agent, of the act of creation of these all things. But since Paul uses all things appositively (that is, interchangeably) with creation, we must still reckon with Christs place as the first-born of creation, and so the first-born of all things. Similar uses of all in expressions of hyperbole are not hard to find. In Luke 21:29, Jesus speaks of the fig-tree and all the trees. The fig-tree is obviously a tree, and the ancients knew it has a tree. The phrase actually means the fig-tree and all other trees, just as the NW, NAB, and TEV have it (the LB similarly: the fig-tree, or any other tree).... Another example cant be seen in Luke 11:42 where Jesus speaks of Pharisees tithing mint and rue and every herb. Since mint and rue are both herbs, and were thought to be so by the cultures from which the Bible comes, the phrase every herb must mean every other herb (NW) or all the other herbs (TEV) or all other kinds of ....herb (NIV) Jason David DeBuhn, Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of the New Testament (Latham: University Press of America, 2003), 84-85 Taking "everything" as 100% literal would result in Satan being reconciled to Christ per Colossians 1:20. "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." I hope this helps...

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth." And... "All things were made through him, and *without him was not any thing made that was made."* (John 1:3) Hopefully that's clear enough. You can't claim hyperbole in *every* verse you read.

Hi Phillip, thanks a lot for the info. Yeah, one of the first full sets of bible studies I ever went through like 15 years ago was actually from an sda church and I've done other stuff through them since. They mostly just teach from the Bible in general though, at least in my experience. Did the ones you studied with not use scripture then? But, yeah that's why I was wondering why the guy mentioned about them being a cult because I didn't think they actually held to any beliefs that technically made them unorthodox. Anyway, I'm just trying to take a fair look at it. I've looked into mormonism quite a lot and jw somewhat and found pretty clear things in their own writings to say that neither of them are Christian churches, but I haven't found anything obvious yet for sdas and I want to be fair in how I approach it with them as well. I'm not sure I understood the part you mentioned about the Sabbath though as far as how that believe partains to the cult idea. Were you saying that one of the things that would make them a cult is them saying that we can't willingly live in disobedience to the commandments and still go to heaven? But don't basically all Christians believe that sin is breaking the commandments and that if we sin willfully there's no sacrifice for us and so we can't go to heaven? Would you mind expounding a bit more? Any info clarity you could give would be appreciated. Blessings.
@samson4747
@samson4747 3 года назад
@@LeviLongoria You brought up another point about sda , they think that just keeping the ten commandments will get a person into heaven. No sin separates you from God and no one can keep all of the commandments anyway, so if you believe than you are a sinner than you a savior. So God his son to die on a cross and take your sin away. But most sda don't believe this to be true.
@LeviLongoria
@LeviLongoria 3 года назад
Hey Phil, yeah I actually have talked to an sda person that seemed like he was kind of mixing the idea of justification and sanctification, almost like the Catholic idea of infused righteousness, which is a very cultish belief i would say, since it twists the true gospel. Him and I had a pretty intense discussion about that. But as far as everything I was able to find after talking to him, that doesn't seem to actually represent the official teachings of the church. The church itself seemed pretty solid on the gospel of grace actually. That's why I was wondering if you might happen to have any specific references you could send me where I could see that this is actually what the sda church itself teaches. As I'm sure you know, there's all kinds of opinions thrown out there nowadays, and I don't want to throw out a whole denomination that I've been learning from over the years based on something someone may have heard from someone who heard it from someone else, if you understand what I'm saying. But on the other hand I absolutely do not want to be lead astray into any church that doesn't teach the true gospel. I wouldn't even want to be associated with them if that's the case. Is there anything specific I could look at that you know of to see that the actual church teaches a works based gospel? Also, I hear what you're saying as far as people not keeping the law perfectly. I would certainly be in that boat myself. But you still wouldn't say that anyone can live in wilful sin and still be saved would you? As far as I know that's pretty standard Christian teaching.

As an ex-Mormon who was very devout in the fundamental teachings of "the Gospel" as "restored" by Joseph Smith, I just want to add that the LDS often use the confusion that is placed upon them to their advantage. So, it's important to remember that the LDS are gaslight and brainwashed to believe they don't need to seek Jesus, GOd or the turth because they already have it- in fact, in their beliefs they believe that Christianity is corrupt and the Bible changed and can't be trusted and therefore you need a modern day prophet to guide us in these latter days. However, they will tell you that they believe in the Bible but they just also believe in more, and why would you settle for "just Jesus" when you can have a "fullness", etc. It gets very confusing because the LDS are taught to sound Christian and act Christian and say things to outsiders (including new Mormons or less faithful Mormons- anyone who hasn't received the greater light and knowledge) and will say they believe in the same things, etc when they know full well they believe something different. You may also get different answers from different Mormons. That's because of a Masonic belief of levels of knowledge and believe that most aren't ready to receive the fullness and so it's dumbed down or simplified. But as you progress to greater light and knowledge who will learn the full truth- and suddenly if you make it far enough, all of those weird cultish beliefs are given and the Christian stuff is minimized or done away with. They think basic Christianity is like kindergarden level. It gets very confusing and even many LDS born and raised in it will not always get so far in light and knowledge and the "mysteries" of the Gospel. Joseph Smith did this, at the lowest level they didn't practice polygamy and were kept from knowing about it (among other things), then there were different levels including the School of the Prophets. Then all LDS were eventually taught more of this mysteries, but I noticed in the late 90's a shift away from it, wanting to keep it all sacred and not revealing everything to every member (although it is all there for those who look or are chosen). I'm speaking by experience. Mormons are inwardly offended by the cross and by Christians saying that they follow a different Jesus. They are taught this affirms that the LDS church is true because of this opposition. The best thing to do is to ask them to describe Jesus, and you may need to probe because they are taught to use the same words as Christians and try to be basic and sound Christian- if you know how to probe you can get to the heart of it. Or I like to just say I understand that this bothers them, but that using the name of Jesus doesn't make you Christian or a follower: Jesus said people would do many good works in His name but Jesus will tell them he never knew them and will tell them to go away from Him. The important thing is to know Jesus, not just use his name. To know Jesus for yourself and not in a religious sense but personally. I then tell them that someone might tell me they know my mother and even use her name correctly but as they describe her more and her personality, etc., if they say some things are very different than how I know my mother (even if they get some of it right), I will not believe that they talking about my mother, Susan, and that they are talking about a different Susan. And then I will tell them about the Jesus I know, and then read to them the Prodigal son from the Bible. And say something like, See Jesus will see me as a sinner afar off and run to me with open arms, while I am dirty and unworthy. My Jesus is my father, and will wash me clean, etc. I'll also read in the Bible, "while you were yet sinners, Christ died for you". You see Jesus came into this sinful world and runs to us and comes to us even when we are so dirty and can't clean ourselves, even though we know and feel unworthy- and He sanctifies us, He cleanses us, He loves us and He works in us, etc. But your Jesus does none of those things- what you describe is the complete opposite of Jesus even though you use His name. You strive all of your life to become worthy and hope one day that you will be good enough to meet Jesus in the "next life" and hope that Jesus will see your good works and glorify you, that you have become perfect enough and can become "one of us" to progress to become a god and be able to create your own worlds, etc. This sounds like the kind of Jesus that Jesus said I never knew you when presented with their good works and like what Lucifer tempted Adam and Even with that brought sin into the world. This idea that you can become as good as good if you attain greater light and knowledge which Lucifer said he had. And your Jesus needs you to become perfect before He will reveal himself to you. This is a very different Jesus than the one that I know who has given me peace beyond understanding, whose burdens are light- while you are burdened with trying to do an impossible task of becoming perfect so you can be worthy of His presence. But Jesus didn't wait for the world to be worthy, He came down while we are all sinners. He runs to us while we are dirty and ashamed, and embraces us with His Love. Anyway, I am sorry I didn't realize this has become a sermon. I think you get the point though. And the LDS church has so many people full-time working on marketing, PR and subliminal messaging even for their own members to keep them in and to unknowingly deceive many others. They are also constantly changing their tactics and this can get very confusing. But the LDS are trained to tune out Christians while expecting Christians to accept them. The reason for this is simply because if you will accept them then they can convert more people who are currently Christians. So many pastors who see this just want to protect their flocks.

Several things you said really resonate with me, because of my experience when I was Mormon (from when I was 1 until I was 13 when I left and joined the Catholic Church). What you said about Mormon's being taught to sound Christian to outsiders and less-faithful Mormons is exactly how it was for me, but when it came down to what is the truth, they could never sell me on their brand of truth. I think offended is an interesting way to describe the way Mormon's feel toward the Cross, because for me growing up, I never saw a cross or crucifix, and not only that, but when someone at school was wearing a crucifix, I was told it was disgusting, inappropriate, and something sad that shouldn't be glorified and remembered. But now that I'm Catholic, I see the price Jesus paid to save the souls of every sinful person on earth - not just those who have a different understanding of things - but every single person on earth

Spend more time on what we have in common. Exposing differences is division. Division is the spirit of contention. The Lord (Jesus of course)says, where there is contention, I am not. Are you really doing the lords work?,or are you just separating and deviding?, and taking it upon yourself to separate the children of God according to your own understanding on not according to the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is to love God, with all your heart, might, mind and strength, and to love one another. I choose to love you in our commonalities, despite our differences, united in Christ as brothers,for we understand to the best of our abilities with the knowledge we have, hopefully always increasing by the spirit of revelation by the power of the Holy Ghost, according to our efforts, preparations, readiness, and intent. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I know God and his son Jesus Christ live and I know that his priesthood has been restored to the earth, as well as the authority of prophets and apostles to lead ad guide his Church with authority from heaven. All who believe in Christ are the Church of Christ, some having more knowledge, in turn being held to more accountability, having more responsibilities. "LOVE YE ONE ANOTHER " and teach repentance only.

I appreciate the time you took to learn from, study, and share fr the scriptures. A lot of the faults you found with beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) aren't actually exactly how you explain them. For example with your second point about Jesus Christ. In the Premortal Life we all lived with God; in Moses 3 it says that "God created all things spiritually before they were naturally upon the earth." Because nothing can be created ex nihilo (from nothing), we understand that nothing has a beginning or an end. Our spirits weren't just created from nothing, but from matter of spiritual substance. Jesus Christ was the First Born of the Father, but that doesn't mean He had no part in the creation. In fact, in the Church we know that Christ was the one who created the earth and all things upon it, just like you were saying it teaches in the Bible. Christ created these things under the direction of God the Father. Doctrine and Covenants says, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, who created the heavens and the earth." The Christ in the Bible is the same Christ in the Book of Mormon. We believe in the Bible along with our other standard works! The scriptures are beautiful! And there is so much to learn from them! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I love your excitement for God!

You believe God (both the Father and the Son) were created beings though, that both the Father and the Son are separate beings, both separate gods, and that the Father was even a mortal man before he became God. And that he has a body of flesh and bone. That is not who God of Abraham Jacob and Isaac is. He is the only one true God, there is no other god. Uncreated - from everlasting to everlasting He always was God, always will be. He doesn't change. There was no god before him, and there never will be any god after him. The is none like him. He created all things, and existed before all time. He is invisible, and no one has ever seen him. The Son, manifested himself in the flesh at the incarnation and took on the form of a human body, and he reveals the Father to us in himself, as he is the exact imprint of the father, equal and one, the same being. So, this doesn't sound like the same God at this point, does it?

They’re separate beings because the Bible distinguishes them as such. And if you reflect on some statements in the Bible where it is said “there is no other god besides me” for example you’ll note that this is a common idiom of comparison - ie. I am the highest, greatest, most powerful etc; not related to existence.

@@zackmac5917 It's just two different understandings regarding the nature of God, not different Gods. After the death of the original Apostles, Christianity itself diverted into multiple different understandings regarding God's very nature until they got together at the Council of Nicaea and voted on which one they would follow. Somehow, I don't think God's truth would ever be subject to a vote by a bunch of old men with different opinions. No, God is far greater than this. While the human mind is incapable of truly understanding His nature, in the big picture, that matters far less than the efforts we make to follow Him whatever our understanding may be. I hate to disagree with you, my brother, but after operating a Christian outreach ministry to Mormons for almost 48 years, I can tell you that appealing to the Bible to refute Mormonism is of little effect with the devout Mormon. This because of the Eighth Article of Faith. This is where the Mormon will stubbornly believe that anything in the Bible that contradicts Mormonism is mistranslated. In fact, Mormon Apostle James Talmage wrote, "...who, in his right mind could for one moment suppose the Bible in its present form to be a perfect guide? Who knows that even one verse of the Bible has escaped pollution." (Divine Authority of the Book of Mormon, p. 47) Joseph Smith himself said, "Many insertions were made, some of them 'slanted' for selfish purposes, while at times deliberate falsifications and fabrications were perpetrated" (As Translated Correctly, p. 4). A better way to witness might be to show them the shifting sand on which the two pillars of their faith (Joseph Smith as a prophet and his First Vision) are built. Show them Smith's prophesies that failed (there were many) and the number of conflict version of the First Vision he told). Once their faith in the foundations of Mormonism are shaken, THEN you can open the Bible. The information of Joseph Smith I have mentioned, and much, much more can be found at my friend Sandra Tanner's website www.utlm.org. Just a prayerful suggestion, from someone who has been doing this for a long time.

Ridiculous and absurd. It always kills me when an anti Mormon becomes a so called “expert” on LDS theology after reading a paragraph in the History of the Church or Journal of Discourses 😂. You’re referencing the king follet discourse. Joseph Smith wasn’t referencing the infinite regress model, he’s talking about mortality vs immortality. Every scholar knows this. You can reference Blake Ostlers work on this. Perhaps you can find a passage in the D&C (where 99.9% of our doctrine is derived) where it discusses the finite nature of God? You won’t. It’s not there. He is infinite and eternal per our doctrine.

I have a question. Is God a respector of persons and has condemned billions to hell by virtue of being born, lived, and died without ever hearing the gospel? Are unbaptized children damned to an eternal hell? Did Hitler send Jews from the hell of Alchawitz to hell hereafter? Does James 2 not exist in your Bible? @rowangladden5219

My answer for you is this: no, God is no respecter of persons, nor does he condemn anyone to hell out of involuntary ignorance. In line with our practice of proxy ordinances for the dead, they are given the opportunity after their passing. Those who take that opportunity can still be saved. And heaven and hell are not really terms that describe our belief. Hell as we see it, is more called outer darkness, and is reserved for those who have gained and understanding of the truth of the gospel, but reject it, or actively attempt to dismantle and go against God. The Jews killed by hitler are blessed by god after death with an opportunity to come to him because they never could, and in all likelyhood, hitler would not be in that outer darkness. He would simply be in the lowest of God’s kingdoms, where he is eternally separated from Jesus or his grace. This kingdom, the telestial kingdom is reserved for those who actively commit evil and fall prey to satan. Also, “our Bible” is actually the king James Version, which is a rather common version and the one we consider to be most accurately translated from its original language.

If, if, if you are open go check out the book called Kingdom of the Cults by Dr. Walter Martin, Utah Lighthouse Ministry online www.utlm.org/ Mormonism teaches foreign doctrines that God was once a man who became a God, that men can become Gods just like all the Gods before them, that the blood of Jesus Christ does not atone for all sins, a Melchizedek Priesthood for all believers that is NEVER taught anywhere in the Old or New Testament, that the church was lost after the apostles died and there was no true church on earth until 1830 with Joseph Smith restoring it, and a list of other unbiblical teachings. Also years back they did not accept any one from the black comunity because their teachings would not allow it but then years (decades) later they decided to allow blacks become mormons ignoring the original reasons as to why they weren't accepted. I've read the history of the book of mormon and it is very sad how the whole thing started and its that many of its faults which go against the principles of the wholly Bible. Indeed the catholic religion is heretical like the Mormon faith they pray to Mary for 1 thing the pope claims to speak for God and its filled with pegan practices. Years ago I joined my wife's church who only use the holy Bible and I compared it with my catholic upbringing I was baptized as an infant was not a choice but did it as God told us to in order to be truly saved my parents witnessed me being baptized and they were confused why I chose this....following catholic way of doing things will prevent you from being saved just like Mormons who decided all our saved the cathics think dipping a baby in water will save the soul....nope God Saif it must be a personal choice you make with all your heart not some pegan practice.

Berean, I invite you to read a book from Stephen E Robinson titled “Are Mormons Christians? This book helped me with this very question. I believe it may help you and many of your social media followers with this very question as well. I don’t know you, nor do you know me. However, I feel as though you are acting rather narrow minded, based off YOUR secular ideas as to who is able to call themselves Christian. It is my feeling that you are wielding a double edged sword and using YOUR beliefs as a double standard, as to who YOU believe is able to call themselves Christian. However, based off these 3 questions of yours, your reasoning would also eliminate some orthodox and unorthodox religions that most would consider to be Christian. I am reminded of a few passages of scripture that come from the same Bible that we both read and believe in. 1) “Contention is of the devil” and 2) “By their fruits ye shall know them.” The fruits that I viewed from your video, show me that you are more interested in attempting to contend with, find fault in, and slander the beliefs of those, who like you proclaim to be Christian and believe in Jesus Christ. Albeit, their beliefs of Jesus Christ might not align perfectly with yours. It doesn’t change the fact that they believe in Christ just as you do. I implore you to stop contending with other faiths and religions. Rather, focus on the good fruit that comes from each varying faith and accept not what you consider to be the sin, but rather “the sinners” just as Jesus Christ Himself would. Life is too short to contend with or find fault in others that may not think or believe as you do. You are better than that. So let us try to follow the Lords commandments and “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-39. May God bless you and be with you always my friend.

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the 4 corners of the world. Is this love ,to rip down another man's house and build your own on top of his. We are to love God,and love ye one another, and teach repentance only. Not sit in judgment of one another. Being a missionary is a true expression of love for your fellow man,which is of Christ, which can never be wrong. Those young men and women love,and give two years of their lives,in their prime,to love.... That IS the Jesus of the Bible and of the Book of Mormon.

... No... I can answer each of those questions. I have answered each of those questions, and all you're doing is ambushing uninformed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's like me asking about the trinity when that doctrine comes from the Council of Nicea, not from the Bible. I could also choose how Chalcedonian Christians believe Christ to be wholly man and wholly divine, or some obscure Christology particular to Protestantism, or my favorite, that you're saved by grace alone, when the Bible clearly declares that faith without works is dead, the need for ordinances, and protestant rejection of theology held a millennium before the movement began, like apostolic succession. Yea, I think it's a shame most church members don't know the theology as intimately as you know yours, but there is nothing in those questions that's particularly shocking. Oh and lastly, no God did not have sex to create us in a pre-mortal existence. The fact you propagate this myth kind of chaps my hide. You cite a bunch of church canon, while not understanding it, but refuse to find whether or not church cannon supports this point, which it doesn't. Read the book of Abraham in the Pearl of Great Price. I would say you're acting in good faith, except for that last point. It really ruins the whole thing. It's pretty sad, actually.

Thank you for your video. As a former Oneness Pentecostal I wanted to point out that it is not a cult. It is a heresy. Calvinism is more akin to a cult than the oneness doctrine, as it was founded by a man John Calvin and adherents idolize their leaders (John Macarthur, John Piper, Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, etc. ) Not to mention the common thread of arrogance with most who follow that belief system ( but i guess if you are 'elect' you are pretty special). Calvinism/Gnosticism usually leads to atheism but at least most fire and brimstone oneness pentecostals maintain a belief in God. They just miss the three person Godhead concept and are often legalistic.

Depending on its context, the word translated “everlasting” (ôlām in Hebrew) in Psalm 41:13 means both “eternity past” and “unending time going on into the future; forever.” God is worthy to receive praise from eternity past, now, and forever after. Ever since the beginning of time and until the future with no end, God was, is, and ever shall be blessed. A similar refrain is found in 1 Chronicles 16:36: “Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said ‘Amen’ and ‘Praise the LORD’” (see also Psalm 106:48). The apostle Paul said In Romans 9:5, “He is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen” (NLT). Scripture repeatedly affirms the eternality of God: “Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God” (Psalm 90:2). God’s “throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting,” states Psalm 93:2 (ESV). In the book of Nehemiah, the Levites call the people to “stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting” (Nehemiah 9:5). The prophet Isaiah identifies God as “Everlasting Father” (Isaiah 9:6). In Jeremiah 10:10, He is “the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King” (ESV). From Genesis to Revelation, He is the “Everlasting God” who lives and “reigns forever and ever” (Genesis 21:33; Revelation 10:6; 11:15). Everything that God is exists from everlasting to everlasting. His name and His renown are eternal (Psalm 135:13). We have the assurance in Psalm 103:17 that “from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.” His great love and faithfulness endure forever (Psalm 117:2; 1 Chronicles 16:34). “He stood and measured the earth; he looked and shook the nations; then the eternal mountains were scattered; the everlasting hills sank low. His were the everlasting ways,” states Habakkuk 3:6 (ESV). Even God’s Word exists from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 119:89; John 1:1). Nothing came before God, and nothing will ever come after Him (Proverbs 8:23). “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary” (Isaiah 40:28). He is “the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:13, NLT; see also Revelation 21:6). He is “the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come-the Almighty One” (Revelation 1:8, NLT). His “kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,” and His “dominion endures through all generations” (Psalm 145:13). Since Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is God Himself, He possesses the exact nature as God the Father (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:23; Colossians 2:9). There is “no beginning or end to his life,” and He is our priest forever (Hebrews 7:3, NLT). The eternal nature of our Lord-the fact that our Savior and Advocate exists from everlasting to everlasting-underscores the security we have in Him. “When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation” (Proverbs 10:25, NLT). David could praise the Lord in his darkest hour because he trusted in his “eternal Rock” (Isaiah 26:4). And we who have built our lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ can rest securely in His everlasting arms (Matthew 7:24-27; Isaiah 28:16; Ephesians 2:20; Deuteronomy 33:27).

Exmormon here, and I want to make clear a fundamental misunderstanding of Mormon doctrine. You said they claim to believe in the god of the bible. That is only half true. They believe in the Jesus that the 'prophets' have described, and they claim to believe in the bible as long as it is translated 'correctly.' What you don't seem to realize in this video is that Mormons don't actually believe that there is a perfect translation that exists, so any of these verses you read off to them that contradict church doctrine will be dismissed by them as being a mistranslation, even if it isn't true. They believe that a true translation of the bible, if one were to exist, would fully affirm all of their beliefs. Therefore, using the bible may give you the warm fuzzies, believing that you're epically owning them, but you are actually just talking past them. Discussions such as these remind me of two kids having an argument like 'my dad said X' and the other rebuts, saying 'well, my dad said NOT X.' This is no way of having a productive conversation. Rather, to have a productive conversation with a Mormon where you will shake their faith is by understanding the independently verifiable lies throughout church history and describing them clearly to them.

@@richardjames6456 First off, I think it'll be really hard to convert mormons to any other sect of christianity in general due to specific conditioning. But, if you want to shake their faith in mormonism, joseph smith's polygamy behind his wife's back and with under age girls is a good start. The book of abraham is very troubling for members, but I would also look into the kinderhook plates. They were verified as a fraud by their creator, and joseph smith belived an ancient prophet wrote it and began translating it until it was exposed as a lie. You can also look into how joseph smith scammed people by using folk magic to "find treasure." Of course, no treasure was ever found by him, and he was actually charged with fraud. The records were discovered recently in the courhouse near where he lived showing that he was, in fact, scamming people. But the worst part about that story is that he used the exact same rock in a hat to "transalte" the book of mormon, often without the golden plates in the room.

Hello, you claim that Mormons can't answer the three questions you've posed so I'll take on the challenge of answering them. 1. I don't think by saying God is everlasting, it means God has always been God. I think to claim God is everlasting is to claim that God has always existed in some form, which Latter Day Saints believe. As far as the idea of God being unchangeable, I believe that's referring to the way God is now. God is at a point where He doesn't change at all anymore. I don't think that necessarily means that God has always been unchangeable. I think it just means that God has been unchangeable since He first became God. 2. You're mistaken when you say Latter Day Saints believe there was a time when Jesus and the rest of us didn't exist. Latter Day Saints typically fall into one of two categories of what we believe we were before being children of God. Some believe that we've always existed as spirits and that God adopted us as children at some point. Others believe that we existed as an entity called intelligences before being children of God and that Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother created our spirit bodies and then we became spirit children of God. D&C 93:29 reads "Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be". As far as Jesus being the creator of everything, I interpret everything to mean this physical universe. When it comes to Jesus saying He is the beginning and the end, I interpret that to mean that He was there when the creation of the universe started and He'll be there when it ends. 3. I think you have a slight misunderstanding of Mormon belief regarding salvation vs. exaltation. Salvation is to have an immortal body and live in a degree of Heaven. Exaltation is to be able to go to the highest degree of Heaven and become a God. The lowest degree of Heaven is the Telestial Kingdom. D&C 76: 109-110 says this about the people in that kingdom. "109 But behold, and lo, we saw the glory and the inhabitants of the telestial world, that they were as innumerable as the stars in the firmament of heaven, or as the sand upon the seashore; and heard the voice of the Lord saying: These all shall bow the knee, and every tongue shall confess to him who sits upon the throne forever and ever". So, to get to Heaven you just have to believe in and confess to Christ. However, in order to gain exaltation, you must make and keep sacred covenants with God by the proper priesthood authority. As for your scripture of Hebrews 9:27, I'll quote it and give my explanation. It reads, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". It says but after this the judgement. So, what exactly does the word this mean in this context? I think it's referring to the resurrection. After the resurrection will come the judgement. Latter Day Saints do believe sin separates man from God, that's why Jesus had to atone for the sins of all. A historian named Don Bradley explained that the phrase being saved after all you can do was a phrase in Joseph Smith's time that basically meant we are saved by grace despite everything we can do. I agree that we are saved by grace, no problem there. When the Bible says eternal life comes by believing on the Son of God, I think its authors are assuming that after believing on Him, they will do everything it takes to gain eternal life, which includes making and keeping covenants to God by the proper priesthood authority. Now that I’ve tried to answer those questions, I have some for you. Why didn’t God just create us all in Heaven in the first place? Why come to Earth to grow if we’re just going to be singing praises to God for eternity anyway? Why didn’t God only create those He knew would obey Him so nobody ended up suffering in Hell? Did God create all the rules that govern eternity? If so, could God create a rule that anyone who breaks a rule can be forgiven if they are sincerely sorry and change? If so, why was Jesus’s sacrifice necessary? What happens to all those who died without ever hearing about Jesus Christ in their lifetime and having a chance to repent of their sins through Him? Why did God create marriage in the first place if it’s just going to cease to exist after this life anyway? Please, I’d like to hear your answer to any or all of these questions.

Imagine having such a large ego you want to become a god....The mormon faith is a country club for old men afraid of death. They fear it for they truly know they practice sin, we are all human after all. Some people just trick themselves into believing in ascensionism through this faith. It's all just free mason rigmarole, and if you take is seriously, you surrender the notion of free will. Why would a creator godlike being give his creations the ability to ascend to their level on the spiritual foodchain? The answer: You are their slave, thier tools, their replacement. Tasked with the duty of maintaining an infinite cycle. You aren't born free if your options are salvation through service, or face the emptiness of oblivion. That isn't something benevolent beings do. This is almost textbook ascensionism....

That's actually a pretty good explanation. I think of the word 'created' more like 'organized' and it helps ease the anxiety over when we were 'created'. Still, trying to comprehend the eternal nature of things is nigh impossible for our finite minds. It's analogous to trying to teach a 3 year-old calculus. Calculus is true and definitely explains the way things work, but it is incomprehensible to minds who cannot comprehend it....yet. Which leads me to my final thought: The crux of the problem debating with our fellow Christians is they have to refer to the Bible only. It's like referring to the first volume of a multi-volume series, which invariably means you will miss out on some important parts. This gentleman uses scriptures from our faith, but even scriptures from the Book of Mormon need to be read and understood in context, by the power of the Spirit, and with truth revealed by present-day prophets. And that is the point. God will continue to reveal His grand designs through scripture and revelation, and I am grateful He reveals things little by little, because if he revealed all He knew it would be far more difficult to understand than a toddler reading a calculus textbook. I'm grateful we know what we know, but I can be fine having faith that the rest will be revealed in God's infinitely wise timing. There will always be some questions even the Latter-day Saints cannot answer, but I trust God anyway.

Me and my Grandfather used to argue about these beliefs cause my Mom’s side was Southern Baptist. Many Satanists become Morons on their journey up the ladder it has been reported. According to what you wrote, we are all the energy of God which is foolishness. We are souls not spirits. We have a spirit - whether that space is occupied by God or Demons is another matter. Mormonism is like reincarnation. You have always existed in one form or the other. Baptism for the dead is a joke! You all deny the absolute power of God. He was always God, and no other one has existed. That is blasphemy! My non-Mormon Grandpa, who was an Ogden City Police, told me a story of a party that was slaughtered by Mormons cause they wanted to settle in Utah. I say a movie about that. As a kid going to “Temple” during school field trips, I wondered why Brigham Young needed so many wives! They had pictures of all of them. He thought that he was god!! Mormonism is far from Christianity. But they do know how not to tell you what they believe so they make you think that they are so.

The difference between missionary work conducted by ministries like this and that done by our missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: We reach out and explain our beliefs and then challenge the listener to ask God about what we believe. We also teach and read from the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon. Ministries like this attempt to destroy faith and supplant it with their own, one way to do this is to create a strawman and attack that instead of actually learning and understanding what we believe and engage in a respectful manner. Which example sounds like it’s relying on Christ to create the witness and which is relying on the smooth talk and intellect of the presenter?

I know that I’m a few years late to this haha But yes we have answers to all of these things. 1 & 2 are very similar questions. Yes both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are from everlasting to everlasting. They didn’t NOT exist at some point as we are all eternal. All of us have existed in some form or another all of us will exist continually. Beyond that, if you want to get into eternity, time, interpretations of the Bible and its numerous translations, I’m not here for that. Suffice it to say that for us there is one God and there always will be and always has been. As for question #3, according to your definition of salvation, being with and living with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ (for us the more precise term is exaltation), then yes, not everyone and in truth comparatively few will be saved. Just because we believe that VERY few people will be left to endless suffering doesn’t mean we believe that everyone will be sent to live in the presence of God. Also, no, the main point of exaltation isn’t to become a god but rather to glorify the Father by becoming like Him and His beloved Son (Romans 8:14-17 is one of many great examples of scriptures teaching this concept). And lastly, yes it is through grace that we are saved. We simply believe that accepting Christ means that you will love Him and keep His commandments to the best of your ability (John 14:15). As for “all that you can do”, that’s between you and God. That and we know that thankfully Jesus Christ our Lord and savior gives us strength to do better and be better day by day. The Atonement, His divine suffering and condescension, is something that allows for daily change and in honesty it is only through His grace that we CAN change. So just to summarize, all of these questions are answerable. I only briefly touched on everything because this is already so long for a RU-vid comment. But the more you study the more these questions become answers, the more the Spirit opens your eyes to the truth. It’s been years so no doubt that this won’t be seen by many or any individuals, but God bless and know that I love you all as my brothers and sisters in Christ.

I had one more thought. If we are all eternal and god was once a man according to J.Smith then how is god "our" god. It would mean that we are not contingent beings and neither is god. Therefore, he didn't create us since we were necessary beings to begin with just like him. Because he was once a man and was exalted to god status then we can be to without his help or permission for he didn't receive permission yet started out just like us. Nor can god destroy us because we exist out of necessity not because of the whim of another. Comments?

I would need a lot of space to respond to your accusations, but here let me affirm, I am an ex-Protestant (father was a Protestant minister), and I was also a missionary in Germany, and I know most assuredly that I am saved by the atonement and grace of Jesus Christ, and that I am in the midst of my eternal life. Just like Jesus, He and I and all of mankind have always existed, first as intelligences (intelligences have always existed from eternity to eternity), then as spirits begotten by Heavenly Parents. Jesus is now resurrected and thanks to Him so will I be. In the next life I will likewise be resurrected and go on to my celestial glory. It is even as Joseph Smith declared in Lectures On Faith 6:4 "Such was, and always will be, the situation of the saints of God, that unless they have an actual knowledge that the course they are pursuing is according to the will of God they will grow weary in their minds, and faint; ..."
