I'm very confused after watching this video. I thought I could use SONOS to output sound of a specific channel (Left and Right Surround) to 2 SONOS wifi-speakers. Or is this not the way SONOS works?

So by integrating the avr with sonos, does the sound system get Dolby surround and neural x upmixing? Does the avr actually decode the signals instead of sonos? I know sonos doesn’t support upmixing/dts x so the heights aren’t used unless it’s strictly atmos. So king story short would I be able to get upmixing with using the avr?

Very good video, congratulations! Is it possible to adjust the sound with the trueplay function? Another question: can I create a zone 2 with sono speakers connected to the onkyo receiver, like outdoor speakers? Thank you!

Hi Daniel, if you mean the Pure Audio function, you can't make any changes there. The signal is output 1:1. Yes, you can play back signals from your Sonos Connect when speakers are connected (corded) in Zone 2. KR Marco

I don't have a Sonos Connect. I wonder if I can use my Sonos home theater (Playbase, Sub, Play:1 X2) with the receiver without the Connect?

Can the Output Zone be Main & Zone 2 at the same time? so I can wire other speakers to the back of the Sonos Connect?

To integreate your existing A/V entertainment setup in your Sonos environment - e.g. including your large floor standing front speakers!

More like “WAKES with Sonos”. Maybe a better feature would be “Wakes with INPUT” (like how subwoofer-standby “works”, I mean wakes).

Every video of "works with sonos" uses music as an example. AVRs are often also used to power sound on your tv when waching movies. Why is this never covered? Is it because you need to change the channel to SONOS on the AVR, so you cant actually get sound from HDMI/TV to the sonos, aswell as the speakers on the AVR?
