Thank you very much I sprained my wrist the other day and it’s been hurting like heck but since flowing your video and putting on a wrap it’s starting to feel better and I can actually move it more without as much pain😁
Sprained my wrist after lifting a weight akwardly and now im here. Thank you very much now i need another one for my sprained ankle I have neglected for about 3 weeks now. 😊
Thank you sharing this video! My son recently had a minor wrist fracture and he absolutely can’t stand wearing the big splint they have him at the urgent care, since he doesn’t really have any pain anymore, we decided to take off the splint and wrap it instead. This was very helpful thank you!
I had fractured my wrist while in gym class by falling the hospital put on a splint on my wrist with the hard part and all the other stuff for the first 2 weeks , I went yesterday they put on something like this with Velcro and it was tight so I took it off and they said I can put it back on by myself if it’s too tight and I didn’t know how to so thank you!
Great video! I went to the hospital this morning for a bad sprain (they thought it was broken until the x-rays came back). The tech who wrapped it did a really bad job. Glad I found this.
Oh my gosh really they did a bad job at the hospital? That's wild. Some of these videos are really helpful. I just sprained my own wrist really badly two days ago. I went to an urgent care clinic the next day and they put a splint on it and wrapped that to my wrist. Kind of primitive. I took it off last night because the cheap foam on it itched so much I couldn't stand it. Now I have to wrap it again myself and this video was helpful. I thought my wrist was broken also. It was such a relief to hear that it wasn't - although there still could be a hairline fracture, they said they would let me know after sending the x-rays for further evaluation by a specialist. But I haven't heard back so I guess it's just a sprain. Sorry this is so long. I hope your wrist healed well.
Thank you so much this helped me a lot no one in my family that I live with has never sprained their wrist and I have never sprained my wrist and it was two days ago thank you so much
Thank you, I have been trying to bandage my wrist, after watching your video, I can see how I've been doing this wrong, ì have subscribed incase you have any more like this video, very educational 🙂
Thanks for the heads up! Also cool that you're into helping out with low cost products...ps just watching this made my hurt wrist feel better. Placebo Effect? Good enough for me!
@@thesunnyedge you're so welcome glad to hear from you, do you have an email address? I'm from Africa Uganda I already subscribe to you I would like to connect ,i am from Africa Uganda
Oh, be careful! Skateboarding is fun, but injuries are not. Maybe you should wear wrist guards and knee guards and stuff. At least a helmet, right? I don't know if many skateboarders wear helmets but they should. If bike riders are to wear them, doing skateboarding stunts seems even more dangerous. Just don't worry about not looking cool; it's not cool to risk breaking your bones. Congratulations on being a gutsy skater though. I broke my wrist 2 years ago losing my balance on some roller blades; and just now I sprained my wrist falling off a bicycle. Maybe I'm a little clumsy. Anyhow, be careful! Hope you healed well and haven't had any more bad falls.
So Helpful, my wrist feels like it has so much support! Thank You!!! What if I sprained my fingers w/my wrist? Do I continue up? Do I tape them individually?
Thank you for your videos- using them for my health class! As an athletic trainer/physical therapist, my only suggestion for your wrapping videos is to have the roll on top of the tail instead of under it as you wrap the hand/elbow etc. ______O like this instead of ------o. Great videos overall thanks!
Thank you. I have a question though. I feel a tingling sensation and numbness in my fingers after wrapping my wrist. The first time it was obviously too tight, but the second try it was super loose that it didn't even provide any stability to my wrist yet it still gave me the same numb feeling. Could I be doing something wrong or is it just the physiology of my wrist or something that it doesn't allow me to wrap it without restricting blood flow?
I met with an accident a few days ago and i wrapped my wrist with bandage. I just want to know whether there is any exercise that will quicken healing process
Thank you for the tutorial! How long are you able to wear the wrist wrap? How many days is recommended to wear a wrist wrap? I have been having sharp pain on my right wrist. Could not do many push ups do to have severe pain on my wrist. It's an on an off thing. I think the reason it hurts is because I punch a table hiting my knuckles. Got emotional after a dog passed away at the hospital. I like the dog she was a good girl.
Generally after a wrist injury we recommend wrapping for 5-7 days or until the patient can be evaluated by a healthcare provider. Chronic pain (lasting longer than three months) should definitely be evaluated by a orthopedist to rule out other types of musculoskeletal injuries.
@@thesunnyedge Hi Nurse Sandra. Great video. I have a question. After I saw a health provider, x-rays showed my badly swollen wrist was not broken but just badly sprained. He put a splint on it and then wrapped the splint onto my wrist and hand. It wasn't the kind that comes with its own closures. It's pretty wide. But I was wondering: so, the wrap is to secure and protect the injury until you can see a provider, yes? But in some comments here, people just use the wrap and not a splint. Is that okay after the provider has said to wear a splint for a week? My injury is two and a half days old now. I've had it out of the splint because it was itching like crazy and also he said I could take it off at night and it's easier to ice it this way. Is it okay to just have it wrapped without a splint? Or is that really not enough protection and support for a bad, acute injury? I hurt mine falling off a bicycle- not at any kind of speed, I was just getting on it but trying to avoid a thing in the way. Lost my balance and I guess twisted my wrist. Bumped my head too but no brain bleed.
It has been almost two months that I had a sprain. Will wrapping it do the work? Or do I need to apply something? It doesn't hurt unless carrying a heavy objects though
fell off my bike, my wrist hurts a lot but there's no swelling. day 3 now still painful to move it sideways, is it helpful to put on a bandage like this?
Yes, definitely reusable although elastic bandages tend to wear out/stretch out after 4-5 uses. You can hand-wash them in cold water and hang to dry also.
I never feel pain anyways because of my autism my doctor says it is neurological and we don't understand why so if I had to have help wrapping myself what would I be looking for as an autistic who doesn't feel pain in general? My NP says she wouldn't know because I am an odd case and her boss agrees
You’ll need to be evaluated by a health care professional so they can determine if it’s a broken bone or not. They may do X-rays as well. I hope you feel better soon!
