Man Ape Duncan is a respectful white guy who brings the daughter home by 8pm while herro is more of a stud u could say who brings the daughter back the next morning at 8am.
This whole Miami Heat Organization is just amazing. I'm a summer league guy and watching Bam and Robinson develop in Vegas each year was tremendous. From the moment they drafted him, they were letting a guy thought of as a run-n-jump center compared to Dwight Howard bring the ball up the floor and test out his jumper. Giving him that confidence from the jump is something to be cheered for
As a Bulls fan, I remember shitting all over Spoelstra when LeBron first went to Miami. Saying shit like LeBron is the real coach of this team and all of the typical denigrating trash. Man was that a horrible take. He's one of the truly elite coaches in this league who consistently proves his worth with in-series adjustments and player development. I have come to really respect him as one of the best.
Duncan Robinson woke up one day and realized, why shoot a shot thats worth 2 points when you can shoot one that's worth 3? Two pointers are for suckers, and Duncan Robinson is not a sucker!
Robsinson can shoot but Herro is going to a star. He can create his own shot, he plays D and he could play the point he passes and sees the court so well. Herro is going to be 20ppg 6 rebounds 6 assists guy for years
My only complaint of this year's season is not unveiling our "You can't hear Jimmy" line up: Dragic, Herro, Dunc, Kelly O, and Meyers at any point this season. Spo is a coward lol.
Literally about to write this. It's getting really obvious & there sad. Arguably the best player in the East playoffs overall so far imo. Others can also be in that conversation but Dragic barely gets a mention ever except for smaller media & players like Perkins who said Dragic is being hated on. It's strange tbh?
Milan Stupljanin he’s not underrated he never was he was a always known baller. What he’s doing now is not new he’s been doing it all his career it’s just now it’s the playoffs so you think he’s underrated
The 2020 heat have become one of my all time favorite rosters constructions. I love every player in their nine man playoff rotation except for Nunn. They’re all tough winning players
It takes a great coach to make all this work, figure out the rotations, make the adjustments and put players in a position to succeed. Coach Spo clearly one of the best
The Rockets tried to do it with all the nerdy number munching and stat crunching but Miami saw the thing that really makes GSW turn, having two great shooters gravity off the ball dictate the pace of the game and get their teammates easy looks as to not give up the 3.
RennWickam well I think the issue w the rockets is that they rely too heavily on harden making hard shots. Like they just expect harden to hit contested step backs. The heat get open looks from actual chemistry and ball movement. It’s not Duncan and Tyler taking ridiculous shots, they’re actually open bc of their ball movement and offensive strategy
@@joeshanahan2919 that's kinda my whole point. The Rockets looked at GSW like the roster creator in 2k and tried to recreate it the best they could, get a bunch of 3 point shooters and run an extra small lineup with two amazing defenders in RoCo and Tucker. But they got so busy trying to build a team like GSW on paper they forgot the little things, mainly the insane motion offense that Steph and Klay work out of. The beauty of Miami and GSW is that they have so many guys who eat at you in a game instead of Harden having to do everything. They copied GSW's answer without showing their work if that makes sense
Idk why, but learning about undrafted players is so fascinating. It’s probably because it’s very much an underdog situation but it makes me appreciate the players more
I've been watching this team all year and there's never a dull moment, when you think about it, they really approach the game like last years Raptors, that grit and determination, and the adopted tenacity from Butler.
These videos are legendary. The breakdown and analysis with the alluring combination of smooth background music should get these videos placed in the basketball hall of fame!
I'm suprised at how good Herro's defense is, considering he has a negative wingspan. I guess Jimmy is teaching him how to be a good defender with short arms.
I think Herro's defense is better than you give him credit for. I don't recall you mentioning his fantastic rebounding ability for a rookie guard, for example.
Honestly Herro is the perfect fit for the Heat like this could be the top of his career and it’s still not bad like he’s such an amazing clutch role player and he does so much for the offense that doesn’t show up in the box score
Funny thing is: I could see them beat any team in the league, even in a series. Or they could just as well get swept by a Lakers team with an injured LeBron sidelined. As KG once said it "ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE"
Not saying that they're nearly as good, but Duncan and Tyler's shooting and off-ball movement creeates shot opportunities for their teammates in the same way The Splash Bros do, with their gravity. The opponents are so worried about these guys running around that Miami's cutters (especially Bam and Jimmy) get all the room inside from the insanity on the court.
This is a very complete analysis. Thanks for not omitting the defensive liabilities Robinson and Herro are. Spo is even hiding those two by playing a zone. If Boston wants to win this series, they have to exploit those two whenever they are on the floor.
Wonder if Tyler herro will be given the starting point guard spot next year.. prolly depends on how he plays in the finals. Dragic and nunn can come off the bench. Maybe after next season. Dragic still clutch af
