Follow Me On Twitter! / hensama24 In this series, I take a look at all of the localization differences between Rockman.EXE and Mega Man NT Warrior. This video focuses on Episodes 17 - 26 what I call the N1 Grand Prix Finals Arc.
The removed roll shots are funny to me. You wordlessly confirm she's a dominatrix now and show her reeling back her arm to strike, but showing the follow-through is where the line is drawn.
A small detail that wasn’t mentioned: on episode 22 when the arena is crashing down during their battle, a huge rock falls next to lan and a small piece of it cuts lan’s cheek on the Japanese version. In the westernized version, it only shows the aftermath of the cut and not the rock falling
that actually makes more sense, I found it way more believable that Dedede could cut down so many trees with a laser saw as opposed to a regular ass chainsaw. and it looked way cooler as well
They were aiming the dub of NT Warrior at a much younger audience than Bleach and Naruto, so from that perspective, these changes make sense. If there was enough demand for it, they might've produced an uncut version, like they did with (part) of Blue Dragon.
I hope he'll be able to get his hands on the one dubbed episode that only aired on Teletoon in Canada(Spoutman's New Hero) but didn't air in the U.S. for whatever reason.
If you consider that Megaman is the reincarnation of Lan's twin, and Lan is 11, with Roll being something of a love interest for Megaman, it can be assumed that Roll is meant to be around the same physical age of 11ish. This makes dark Roll kinda fucked up, as well as anyone turned on by her.
i hope you do KRBAY (Kirby Right Back At Ya!) Zatch Bell! Digimon Digital Monsters 1 Smile & Doki Doki Precure! Mew Mew Power/Tokyo Mew Mew Sailor Moon VIZ VS. Wildbrain. From,Gabe
I really don't get why companies will change the order they air stuff. It can occasionally make sense but generally it's nonsensical. Like I could see doing that with a holiday episode to match up with the IRL holiday.
@@jadedheartsz Sure, but I'm not sure how that impacts episode order? It's the same content the children are consuming just at different points in time. Like I could understand that for situations where local real world events make the episode suddenly insensitive. Pokemon has to do that in Japan after a massive earthquake and an episode featured a Pokemon causing localized earthquakes or something similar.
niboshi isn't "fish food" it's dried sardines use to make fish stocks there, you could've said dried sardines but idk why you choose to say it's "fish food"
I didn't even notice these every time I watched which goes to show how much I really paid attention to it growing up lol A lot of these edits are just silly, especially the Maylu and S&M Roll stuff, same with the Claude and Yai convos. I doubt most kids would make a big deal out of them except maybe shock factor with how merciless Roll was beating on Megaman but that was just elevate the scene. It's also weird how they took anything that happens to the NetNavi's serious since they're not even real but I guess I could also say that to all the characters in the show too. They really should've kept it in the stuff that happens to NetNavis. Funny enough I could only see adults making a big deal out of most of these changes/stuff the Japanese had that they think is "problematic" for kids while kids wouldn't think too much of it other than, "Oh wow" or "Heh, that's funny" even "oh shit!" cause a lot of kids cursed when I was growing up(and still do lol). I would love a reboot of the series or something but with everything still intact and though it would be unlikely, have most if not all the cast back too or at least Megaman's and Lan's.
