3:20 It's a shame this happened because Madoi has a lot more personality than Ms Maddy in the dub. In the Japanese original, she's incredibly vain, caring only about outward appearance. Her making fun of a child for being less feminine because her breasts are tiny is fitting for her character. This was replaced with her simply being overconfident, thus making her into a generic bad guy. She's petty and mean. That's the point of Madoi.
Program advance Sword Wide sword Long sword Slot in ... The finale between megaman/rockman exe and protoman/ blues exe was epic. That's the first thing that comes in my mind when I think of megaman nt warrior
The sword edits in this dub make no sense to me as yugioh also aired on the same network as this show and the swords the monsters used in that show were for the most part, left alone.
@@dustymcwari4468 this! I only found out today this was censorship. May be the only instant in ALL media where it gets to be subjective, is sharper or smoother cooler? Idk. Im not even a huge megaman fan, but it blows my mind. Its like someone saying they prefer blurred porn but it makes sense lol
@@jonahthompson8546 yeah, tbh the swords in the original could use the glowing and blurred effect the dub got, they look too dark and with clean borders to be something energyish
I am under the presumption that the name change with Chaud is due to, while his first name is Eugene in the games, it is never used beyond his introduction. Everyone calls him Chaud. So they probably thought him being called by his last name was weird and chose to make it his given name
the 'top part of the body sliding off' was basically in every anime at the time. while torchman's should have been kept, I'm ok witht he rest of the navi not being under the effect
3:20 Yeah, I know, cultural and time differences, but 10 years old??? Holy shit, Japan, that just really doesn't sit well with me, especially with how she's tilting her head back to inspect her like an item 💀💀💀
Ypu say that about maddie insulting meirus breast size but growing up I remember how often and early boys would start the "your weiner is small" insults, by 4th grade ot wasn't that rare to hear kids talking about boobs and dicks..
You know in spite of all of the censoring, footage being removed and swords turning into toyswords, the ONE change I am now happy with is the whole Maddy saying Mayl's boobs are small.......seriously what the hell japan!? I know I know different cultures and whatever but still that is pretty messed up.

This isn't any different from the culture in the West either. Petty girls do this all the time with reckless abandon. Yes a narcissist will even compare themselves to children.
@@lordmango6060 so it's better to remove it completely? that's really dumb. I understand translating it, but removing it and leaving it blank makes no sense. Kids in the US won't implode if they're ever shown that other cultures exist.

Something I hated. Why censor fights. It's dumb. No one wonders what happens when you hit someone. They either take it dodge or recoil. It makes no sense.
One of the series that was butchered by the dub. Which they could release the dub without edits these days. Though I’ll probably watch the sub as it looks way cooler.
Have to reiterate that how weird it is that they censored severe looking injuries to characters that are clearly virtual. The dub version of the N1 Grand Prix cap looks like they replaced the GRAND PRIX with Japanese text. Maddy teasing Maylu for her breast size is pretty stupid like no shit she's a young girl. Would she even care? It's like if a man picked on a boy for being shorter or less muscle than him. dude would look pretty stupid.
