Even Sudama, the poor friend of Lord Krishna, got married before he became rich. And the fact that we still have people of all Varnas means that other Varnas also got married, even though settling is a definite possibility and/or choice for groom/bride was almost zero. That's why Swayamvar, although being an Indian concept, cannot be generalized to all Hindus. Isliye I would request you not to use Swayamvar as a general concept. Even the good girls having no to very limited romantic experience tend to delay marriage due to sticking to some expectations.
