I don't like what the show has become but watching old footage like this and comparing it to all my favourite HS memories, these three deserve every bit of their success.
@@rocketman7887Technically, Robin was with him LONGER in uninterrupted time. But he and Fred worked together (briefly) before Howard connected with Robin. After that, Howard sent for Fred to join the 2 of them. 🤓
Like it or not, Howard has made an unbelievably tremendous impact on radio! To my knowledge, he is the most successful radio disc jockey in the United States. Last time I looked, Rush Limbaugh's net worth was 550 million, but Howard's is 600 million! Now that's an impact! ~Dutch
...Robin has been so loyal to Howard.. i bet after Howard got successful, many radio stations probably offered her tons of money to leave him.. she always stuck by Howard..
@quique182 cygnustsp posted this 5 months before you posted your reply. He's probably dead. And you posted 7 months before my reply. You're probably dead. This madness might go on forever.
TODAY I had to have a boil lanced and drained by a doctor. I usually "pop" and drain these myself, but this one was on my inner thigh very close to my "meats"..., It wouldn't pop and it was awkward to reach (tried using a mirror but everything was backwards)....,,,,. Anyway, when the doctor lanced it, it SPRAYED this pus stuff that looked like green mayonnaise all over the nurse. I was so embarrassed. It smelled like tuna fish as well. The nurse looked really sick to her stomach, bless her heart!!!!
I loved listening to Howard and Robin in DC back then. TV shows were crappy at the time and they would take out the TV guide and start to joke on them. I was laughing and agreeing with their reviews.
@@theloanranger2632 No, it was The Loan Ranger. We went to school together. He told me about it that day. That was the same day I won a big BMX competition.
It's crazy. It's gonna be super emotional when he retires. I might cry. :/ lol I started actively listening live in January and feel like I missed out!(I'm only 21 so. lol) I knew he was the King of Radio and King of All Media for years and had a show and would listen to clips, but realized in January you can link your account to other devices and stream it. Would have been listening for a few years if I knew.
@@vice86 I don't really think he's going too. He deep down loves doing radio. It may be hard but he'll be way more miserable if he stops than keeps going. He's only 65 he could theoretically do radio another 20 years. Look at Larry King. He's between 60-70 years deep.
I lived in Baltimore and listened to Howard on DC 101 regularly . He was a maniac then and crude as can be. He unforgettable, I loved every minute of it,
This is really cool to see this behind the scenes. For a early teenage hearing this was a something else but really helped you grow in your conversation, if you were the subversive type. In those it was a lot of those lol but precious days at the same time a certain innocence.
Thank you so much for posting this. I thought I had seen everything Stern until watching this. Actually his on-air voice and persona reminds me a lot more of his show today then the WNBC clips I have seen on youtube. And Robin looked fantastic! Again, thanks for posting!!!!
he turned into a totally different person in the 90s then again in the late 2000s/early 2010s and where hes at now is sad. he wouldve been better off staying mildly famous
Jet black my ass. You could see he's had grey hair for many years. He had the lighting setup a certain way for a reason. The new setup with the brighter lights makes it way more obvious now. But you could see it at LEAST 10 years ago.
That was a good answer. I guarantee that farting will help with the ratings of any show. I added farts to my youtube videos and got a 25% increase in views.
They all definitely worked their asses off and deserve all the success they have, people bitch about Howard only being on 3 days a week now, he could have said fuck it a long time ago and stopped all together! I’ll be a listener until the end.
