Annie Lennox is a LEGEND. She compose, sing and give everything on stage. She was great with Eurythmics and solo, too. She has duets with the greatest: Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, Sting, Pavarotti, Queen. I'm amazed that you don't know her work. She has soul in her voice, you can feel the emotions, the pain, the grit. Listen anything from her, you'll be surprised.
Listen, maybe not everyone is as old as you? The magic is in the discovering of Annie Lennox. I was young when the Eurythmics hit the sonic airwaves. And here, her awesome duet with the new, and handsome and talented Hosier with the hit song. So, even I didn’t know… and I’m as old as you, probably. No shame. Of course Annie Lennox is a legend. No matter what the time of day.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FILMING THAT PERFORMANCE - RU-vid TOOK IT OFF - I WATCHED IT THAT NIGHT ON TV AND MAN, I WAS SO ALIVE - I LOVE HER. YOU ARE GENIUS AND I CAN FEEL YOU!!
*Annie Lennox* is an absolute *LEGEND!* So much musicality ✨ A *Coloratura Contralto* which is quite rare for such a low and strong voice to have that much agility! *Hozier* is also quite incredible; such a wonderful artist with a phenomenal tone. Plus he gave *Annie,* her due respect!
The guy reviewing was speechless and lost all words to describe annie. The performance with Hozier/Lennox was among the best that ever came out of the Grammy's.
Annie, an artist truly deserving of the titles Icon and Queen ( a word, that like Diva has lost it's significance). With a body of work that illustrates heart, grit and soul; and of integrity and quality for decades. One of the preeminent artists of our time and a beautiful human being to boot. It's great to see her featured here. I recommend reacting to her cover of Many Rivers to Cross on the Idol gives back special, it's heart rending.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Annie Lennox has always been my mothers favourite artist. So i grew up listening to this legend in my household since childhood. And Hozier is one of my favourite artists ever. When i first heard him, i feel in love with his music. So this really got me hyped. 😍😍😍😍😍 Great Reaction 👍
THIS LIVE PERFORMANCE WAS ONE OFTHE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN, YOUR SUMMARY OF IT WAS SPOT ON. WHEN I FIRST SAW IT ON THE AWARDS SHOW, IT ABSOLUTELY BLEW ME AWAY
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for reacting to this one! She is such a legend and has inspired so many modern day legends (Kelly Clarkson included) and it baffles me that she's left out of so many lists of divas. No one is out there sounding like Ms Lennox!
This is what a true Grammy performance should be, not all the Los Vegas type of background dancing with half nude costumes to detract from the singer who is lip singing. Annie is one of a kind that few can hold a candle to. You do have KD Lange who can also sing the telephone book and is beyond amazing. Take a look at her singing Halleluiah. One of the best performances of the song. Even Cohen said it.
I missed this performance so much, watched it live that day. When Annie said ‘come on!’ to Hozier it was like ‘hit it ma boy, mom wanna dance rn.’ 😂 I love them and Annie Lennox is the legend.
This live performance collab was epic! I hope you went back to listen to Annie’s back catalog of solo work and as half of the Eurythmics. The Eurythmics are finally being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year (2022)! I’ll be there!
Who is this darling? Yo, JustThevoice. Yes, you… I loved your reaction and take on this performance. True, Hosier, what a song. And Annie is soul kegend. You are the music.
That entire album was superb. Also Annie Lennox's album Medusa is amazing but I love her songs Why, No More I Love Yous and Walking on Broken Glass in particular. She's talented and she is interesting which is kind of rare now.
A legend came on stage and thow these wannabe divas how's its done. Also this is the only place where I can watch this on RU-vid so thank you for having posted this and keeping it up.
Annie Lennox, being Scottish, comes from a strong singing tradition. From the remote Scottish islands like the Hebrides etc, choirs sang/sing in Gaelic, there own language. Try and listen to older recordings. I think you will be surprised.
Yes. Absolutely. Choir girl, here. And, the most remote sacred recordings are exquisite. Annie’s voice didn’t happen overnight. Her upbringing and nationality unleashed her musicality. She’s so jazz. -And hers is an incredibly disciplined and refined voice.
I love the version she did live with Hozier just an eensy bit more...because that one has the most glorious fake harmonica solo since Al Bundy played the sammich. 😂 I mean every word of that.
Hozier is one of my favorite singer/ songwriters. His first CD (with Take Me To Church ) is full of deep lyrics and music full of layers that is just genius. I was privileged to see Hozier in 2015 during his last US tour. Just as good live as in person. React to this live session of "It Will Come Back ". You'll start to see his versatility. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GgWOJIC6Kp8.html
@@ibosquez5238 Absofreakinglutely! I'm actually saddened by the fact that there's going to be a Eurythmics anniversary tour but Annie won't be a part of it because she can't tour anymore because of this back problem that she has. I just can't imagine the Eurythmics songs without her vocals, its just not right. It's like Culture Club performing without Boy George or the 10,000 Maniacs performing without Natalie Merchant. I mean, the other vocalists may be really good, but to me it still wouldn't sound right, ya know what I mean? LoL
@@josephprovencher6345 I know what you mean. In the future I forsee AIs and holograms performing her music plus Eurythmics but the original is always best. I know Annie has problems with her back and we must be understanding of her pain that prevents her from touring. ☹
MUST MUST React to MORGAN JAMES (Postmodern Jukebox) Live " Take me to Church" NYC 5/12/15 Morgan was in the cast of "Motown the Musical" YOU NEED To SEE HER Perform
Pedro H Whitney doing OMIT @ Grammys ‘89. She killed it. Fun Fact : Annie Lennox wrote Step by Step; the song Whit. used to finish shows with. I’m sure you knew that though.
