I've gone to HP parts store and they don't have upgraded power supplies for this computer or ones like it. The highest wattage I can find is 310 watts at $185 which is completely insane. Sending back these two computers we purchased.
know it is old video but you have to get on chat to get the 500 Watt PSU Part L05757-800 I have a pic of model an HP# if needed. IT is a 500watt PSU with 6+2 and 6 gpu cables for gpu's, intended to update them to dual powr RX 6000 cards in tg0 pc's , we upgraded a tg01-0040 easily. MSI rx 6600 XT Mech cards only need the 6+2 as it splits it internally on the card.
HI...a question please. In the end of video you show the little white connector (on my Lincs Mb named AIX1 ) and you say are the wires of the Power supply Fan... are you sure are only those wires, or also something another? I such the info pins of this connector but no way... My problem...I like to change my 180 watt PS, with a standar ATX of 600 watt...no problem to put 2 lines for the MB...but I don't know IF nees also this AIX1 connector for any way? HOW the computer start the Power Supply when push start? meaby a wire in this white connector give the input to the PS? on Atx PS...the input/start are on the 24 pins atc connector.
I heard that the LO4618-800 PSU is compatible with the HP TP01-0066 that has the Erica mobo with 4 pin? LO4618-800 being so physically small for a desktop do you need an adapter for the external power cord or is it the standard desktop size? Thx in adv
I was wondering if I could use a PICO PSU for my Motherboard's miscellanious(24pin connector) components(fans,HDD,north bridge, ram etc) but for my GPU and CPU an external PSU!? Is the pico PSU going to interfere with my plan to connect the CPU and GPU from a different PSU (external)!! My external PSU is an HP1200 watt server PSU(which does not have the 24pin connector required to power the motherboard but only has 12v+ground 6pin connectors) and the pico PSU is also going to take its 12v input from this (1200watt server PSU) and convert it to 24pin(3.3v,5v) respectively!! I'm quite good when it comes to soldering and wouldn't mind doing some tinkering to get things to work properly ;). Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hey I know this video is old but thanks, I managed to upgrade to the 500 W PSU and I was planning on buying a single fan 4060 ti... However, I decided to just scrap the whole thing and save for a high end build. The amount of headaches this crappy HP prebuilt has caused me is immeasurable. I also wanted to upgrade the CPU but when I read your comment that standard CPU fans don't fit on HP's motherboard, I decided to ditch that thought. Thanks for saving me money and many headaches down the line.
Hey I'm doing the exact same thing, HP with a 310W and swapping for 500W psu and going for the 4060 card. But i can not find the psu unit that has the two 4 pin to the m. board cables where did you find yours?
@@julio4473 i had originally bought it from the HP parts store, i heard that HP mads it harder for people to do the upgrade PSU trick, my best advice , just scrap the POS HP and build a new PC
@lazertag720 yep HP makes it very hard to do, but i found it. I zoomed in on your video got the model number, found it on Amazon slapped it in everthing plugged in super easy. DDU'd the drivers Installed that 4060 now this thing is bangin out 91fps solid on FS22 with a fuck ton of mods. Before it was squeaking by with 12-22fps on the Radeon550 with no mods installed. I was gonna quit but seeing your video showing there was a PSU that would work i kept at it. This hp will do for now, but i am still going to build a bad ass rig here soon. Thanks man!
What are the dimensions of the RTX 2060? Was it a dual fan design or just a single fan. I have a pc almost exactly like this one (Pavillion 590-p0024) and I'm trying to make sure a GPU will fit.
Part L05757-800 500watt PSU has to be ordered via chat on parts store and hp site. it will not be listed on site as a part. THey will get info they hav you click link to pay. I ordered one to upgrade the tg01-0040 and the thing was delivered next day by noon.
Please I have an issue, I bought this pc for streaming purposes, only for me to realize that the Pcie expansion slot stated in the description was already used by the graphics card, any help on how I can still add a 1×16pcie card for my black magic capture card
hello greetings, do you have the sunflower 8433 motherboard motherboard manual ???? ....... I need to know if my processor is burned. It gives me an alarm with beep beeps. I won't start. Please.
@@wiseass2149I'm having a hard time finding any L05757-800 that are in stock. Does it have to be specifically from Hp or can it be a different brand, but the same model?
How long did the PC last with the 500W power supply specifically? My HP PC had a 400W and I want to upgrade since the last two months it has been randomly shutting off, and now doesn't turn back on after around 10 months of use. Because it is a 690-0073w with a 1660 Ti, it is supposed to have a higher wattage than it is supposed to have... however am not sure how bad the cooling issue would be if the lifetime of the power supply would be shorter than buying the 400W power supply again... if you did use a USB fan, how reliable was it for cooling?
@@lazertag720 fax fuck hp, like why tf should I have to spend 109 euro on a fucking 500 watt psu when if I was building a pc I could get a cx500 watt for like 45.
Hi fella! Well your right about it overheating but it's a way around that. You need to reduce your maximum processor rate from 100% to 99%. With the HP pavilion rig, it tends to over heat going above 80 degrees Celsius. By reducing the maximum processor rate to 99% you will not go beyond 72 degrees Celsius. Yeah you might lose maybe 2 to 3 fps because it's not processing at its full potential but it's not noticable if you are use to running anything 60fps and above.
a friends older one is still going as a sons pc with rx 6600 xt. Honestly if you have the money get an omen which is custom built much better pc' that use much better mother boards, standard 750 or 900 watt PSU's easy open glass side cases, ours is the i9 8 core rtx 280 super (at that time) but now they are 8, 10, 12 core with Rtx 3060, 3080, 3080 ti, 3090 options, or Rx 6800, 6900 xt OC options with ryzen 8, 10, 12, 24 core options. Pavillions are a low cost option, but i did upgrade the tg01 to a ryzen 7 8 core, RX 6700 XT, 32 gig of memory, left the nvmie 1 tb SSD on board. 0040 and higher have on board NVmie 2 drives. Yet it is no where near as fast as omens which are well built with fast transfer mobo's that cna hold 3-4 nvmie SSD's asnd like our i9 / rtx 2080 super combo of the time, are already liquid cooled. .
Before i threw out this PC i tried removing the motherboard from the case with absolutely no luck, i removed every screw and the thing would not move,i tried pulling it enough to break it out and the only result was a bad cut in my hand.so no i could not remove that crap.
Bro I got hp desktop A mt 280 G3 with only 180w psu, I couldn't change it cuz the most of psu not support my motherboard, my question is : is there psu for my pc with at least 300w or more
I do not own this pc anymore so ive lost most of my knowledge on psu compatibility on custom mobos, but for what i remember i heard that you can just get another psu and run a dual psu set up for what you need to power.the psu apparently only supplies enough power for what the GPU is asking.
tg01` are priority PSU units which is a pain. Part L05757-800 is a 500watt for these erica boards. Omens use standard PSU's non priority with a minimal of 750watt usually preinstalled.
Hi Alex, I apologize in advance for my poor English. I own the HP Pavilion 690-0018nf version, it's the same, but with an i7-8700 and a 1050ti 4g and model H370 E motherboard. I will soon put a RTX 2060 super mini 8g and 32g of ram. However I can not find a power supply of 500 or 600 w compatible, can you help me?
I dont know if the link i provided works anymore which was the official HP parts store, but the PSU i bought from there fitted perfectly in my 690-0010 which was 500w, from my observation as long as the HP PC has the same casing as mine, any HP PSU from another similar model may fit as long as its a lincs or sunflower mobo, you need to see what mobo you have, lincs or sunflower.thats all i know about the mobos.
Since i dont own this PC anymore, i have no clue if the HP parts store is working. If desperately in need of upgrading PSU, what i did temporarily was use another PSU and jump start it, as long as you place the 4x4 motherboard and CPU power cables you are good, i suggest you use a multimeter to ensure its actually outputting the proper power
Can u help me out with a link to the hp stock page i currently have a 2060 in mine but i have to have the side pannel off with a second psu to run it with a jumper in the 24 pin. Its verry entertaining but i want to fix my water loop up some and i need to look good to make it worth it u r the only resource that i have found so some help would b greatly appreciated.
The way i found the HP parts page is just by googling HP parts store and its usually the first result, now keep in mind that i heard that HP no longer sells the PSU i recommended in the video, i have not been able to confirm that because i no longer own this PC.aka the pc shown in the video.

Yeah you can modify a PSU to work with that pc,as long as you do your research on voltage of each wire and where they go.i dont remember much about how to do it since i made this video as i was solving my issue
@@domino1323 during my search at the time i could not find a single video or article about it,so i made this video along with a other to show what can be done.
It's kinda hard, first take out the 2/3 connections (motherboard, cpu, and 3rd is dependent if you have a dedicated gpu or not) then unscrew the psu form outside. Finnaly you'll notice it's kinda stuck in place, so what you wanna do is just push a little small blub kinda thing on the bottom down and then push away from the back of the case. I'm really sorry this is late, but I really hope it helped!
Because every upgrade i did to it was a pain, first was the GPU,i needed to get a better GPU but all of the good ones didnt fit in the small case,so i got an RTX 2060 mini but i needed a higher wattage PSU,so i look for a psu and turns out this stupid HP design has a integrated special custom psu with different cables,so hours of research later i find a psu that costed $70 that would work with my PC which was from another HP pc.next was my CPU,i upgraded to a ryzen 2600 which brought a free cooler, and turns out the cooler didnt work with HPs stupid motherboard,i couldnt upgrade it cause HP uses a special cooler and you can not change it,so my cpu was overheating, also the case airflow was bad and no fan headers to add more fans.that was the last straw,i bought a new mobo, case, psu which are all standard, basically a new PC and threw this HP piece of crap to the trash.i would not recommend this PC to anyone.
@@lazertag720 I understand completely why you were mad. I decided to void warranty on this computer and upgrade it myself, since HP does not support upgrades to the PSU. It's really frustrating. Anyways, thanks a lot for the video, it helps! I just ordered the parts today. Was going for the 1660 ti, but then decided to invest a bit more and get the rtx 2060 mini. Now when you said that you couldn't fit in the better ones, does it mean you were not satisfied with the 2060? Because I remember from the other video you said you liked it... I am hoping to be 'at peace' for some time and not have to upgrade this for at least two years before I sell it...
@@aleksandard.4571 the 2060 is still a hell of a GPU,i have no idea what i was refering to when i said all the good ones didnt fit,i probably meant the GPUs with 2 or 3 fans.in which i did later get a 2070 3 fan edition because the 2060 mini was a bit loud.
