Great video thanks for sharing. I've just started getting a high oil level warning on my Passat GTE, very strong smell of fuel from the oil cap and rising oil level. I've just taken the car to VW to be diagnosed. Do you think that if the pump is feeling correctly it could just be the rubber O ring on the HPFP that could be replaced to prevent the leak?
I suspect the HPFP to have failed on my VW Golf V 1.4 TSI from 2008. I get a P2293 Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 performance error and it seems the system has disabled the HPFP. I started by replacing the fuel filter. Then the sensor on the fuel rail. But the error is still there. If I delete the error it comes up again immediately. The engine has a smell of fuel when it's running
@@doit_vehicles Just a follow up. It turned out you were absolutly right! The olie had a heavy smell of fuel and the oil level was way too high. New HPFP fixed the issue I also had to change the olie and filter as well since it was mixed with fuel. Now I worry this fault has damaged my newly replaced turbo though. Fuel does not work very well as a lubricant
