Really, why haven't you removed the screen? it's the most fragile and advanced part of the disassembly. Disappointing as the process isn't complete, many people would be interested in replacing the screen

oleg ikona because replacing the screen is best done with a replacement screen thats attached with the midframe. I dont want to pry the screen off and the glass off so people who are not professionals watch and do the same and damage their phones beyond repair. Most people who watch these videos are not pros at doing repairs and is always best to spend a little more money and get the correct replacement part with screen, touch digitizer and midframe all as one piece. Thus making their repair easy, correct and prevent them from having issues with touch, dust in screen, and other issues like that. Hope this explains.

Thats incorrect. A complete screen assembly would only require you to disassemble the phone and replace the midframe with the preinstalled screen from factory. You cant just remove the screen from the front... doesn't work that way. You would still need to take the phone apart to disconnect the cable from the main board and re-attach the new cable from the new screen. Your saying it as if you can just remove the front glass and replace it and magically it would make a connection?

got my u11's front glass badly cracked, touch n lcd are fully functional though, do i need to replace the whole front panel (glass + touch + lcd) or the glass on top is a seperate part?

Replace the entire complete screen assembly. People often find places to do just glass but its never like original. Dust, finger sensitivity, touch not working properly are just some of the issues you will come across if you go the cheap route. Always best to replace it complete so its as close to original as possible. :)

My issue i love the HTC U11 AND HAVE A WORKING MINT ONE BUT IT NOT WORKING FOR CALLING with my carrier Freedom mobile . 4g and LTE work , text messages work , but calling in and out not working the Freedom Mobile representative said it was because the physical antenna does not have 1700MHZ frequency !!! well can i change the antenna for 1700-1900-2100MHZ band frequency ?? otherwise i have too sell the phone and get something else !!!

Hi it would be extremely hard to replace just the glass, you would need special tools and machines to do it right. Your best bet would be to buy a complete screen assembly , preferably with the frame of the phone would make it much easier for you.

Dalibor Simonaj i don't think there are screens available for it yet, so your best bet would be to call HTC and they will give you a quote on how much they will charge to replace/repair it for you

Have you tried holding down vol down and power key for 20 seconds or the vol up and power key for 20 seconds to see if the phone is just frozen and force a reboot?

Im surprised there aren't any online yet but they should start showing up on ebay eventually. Usually they should be around $20-30 if im not mistaken

Interested to know actual manufacturers of each part of the phone. My friend is a Samsung fanboi and tells me my U11 is full of Samsung parts.. I told him no way. Anyone know?

I have not seen any Samsung components in the U11. HTC avoids them as a supplier because, years ago when HTC was using Samsung screens, Samsung intentionally held back supplies. HTC went to LCD because of that, and never went back. It's not a bad thing, though, as the U11 screen is every bit as good as the Note 8 screen, and even slightly brighter. It does not have quite the blackness, but the HTC SLDC screen does not have the black crush and banding problems of AMOLED.
