What a wonderful addition to your family!!!! OBI!!! 🐶 When my kids were young we adopted a boarder collie / chow mix (good at “herding”. “Joey” was the best dog Ever. Kept kids from going places they didn’t need to go. I already see signs of Odi “herding” the boys based on where they are standing (“hey! Don’t go this way.”) & pulling on their clothes. He will be a great friend AND protector for the boys. He will also keep predators outside the boundaries of your property. (Lots of walk about so he knows boundaries) Soo excited for your family!!!! 🐶❤️

How beautiful is that picture of OBI and the boys. Only a week ago I thought how lovely it would be for the boys to have a puppy while they are young. Thought transference to you. The renovation is uncovering some wonderful surprises. It really is coming on a pace. So love the hexagon tiles. Carrying on old traditions is wonderful. Great news finding that room to put all the plumbing pipes. Making it an easy access for any maintenance. That would also make a cool cellar for your bottled fruits and pickles. And of course a wine cellar. Just the right temperature. Great news.

Loved having a dog while our son was growing up. He was a chocolate lab/springer mix. His name was Brown Dog (which delighted the neighbor kids no end). Dogs bring so much to our lives. Well done. AND the secret space…what a boon!

Ah Wednesday! It is time to visit my favorite family! I'm delighted you got to experience Iceland. I hope there were no troubles with volcanos? John is a marvelous gardener. I think he's a green thumb... body? Spirit? Lol! If the Garden of Eden had ever needed an assistant, John would have been right there! I love the tiles! The design John came up with is spectacular. Aren't you lucky to have such marvelous floors. Bathroom units are ridiculously expensive. Even for finished chip wood it's a horrible price. Furniture grade wood is 'through the roof' expensive! You could actually put the water heater in that little room too! It would sort of be a utility crawl space! Awww Obi is so cute and what are boys without a dog? What a wonderfully refreshing visit. You guys make my heart light and filled with sunshine!

Oh & you got a puppy, now that’s fantastic… is it a Border Collie? The boys are going to have so much fun with it. ( him or her ) while their growing up together. Be careful of the ticks. I lived in Rome with my two dogs & one of them ( my Lhasa Apso ) got covered in them. Quick trip to the vets & then put them both on tick prevention medication/ tablets. The hole in the wall was a good surprise…. Great hiding place for the hot water system & pipes… The terracotta tiles are are beautiful choice. They look so good…. John’s designs are lovely. Something that my grandfather use to do in his farm here in Mexico is that he make the chikens and ducks get use to get out of the cop early at some hour and go back at night at some specific hour so they get use to that routine and the dogs sleep in the cop with them so they be safe, fox don't eat the chikens and dogs don't kill the fox just scare them aways and actually was one of the farmers that didn't lost animals in the community.
