It’s hard to sell something knowing you paid so much more for it especially that it works and still a great car. However if I wanted another X I would sell the Y and assume I bought the X Last year with a higher price but the model y is a great car too. The Problem with this is that many people owe a lot of money on their Tesla that they bought before Tesla did the price cut in January than what it is worth today and this has nothing to do with depreciation it’s mainly due to the instant loss on the car since we paid a lot more over the current new price.

I understand how you feel but this could be because of the extreme high interest rates on new cars now. I’ve seen 35k discounts on a 2023 EQS at my local dealers for example. The whole auto market seems to be struggling with expensive cars right now. I just wish Tesla would’ve just discount the car rather then lower the actual price. For example order before end of October with a 20k discount and then the discount is gone on November. This is horrible for current owners for sure when the price dropped that much is just 8 months.
