You can literally feel this mans pain and makes you feel like you're living it. As a 40yr old man with a son, I thank God for the experiences that I went through because it has made me a real good dad.

This was EXTREMELY POWERFUL in so many ways. The way Hulk, and his sister, let us all into their pain and anguish brought on by their father was so hard hitting. Hulk took that pain and turned it into gains both physically and mentally and shared it with the world and didn't hold back the tears or sorrow. My dad was the same way, I had the exact same treatment as you and your sister in my preteen years. Man this hit home bro, keep your head up you're a true legend.

Thanks for telling my story too... My Dad was a large city cop and had sole custody of me since I was 6. The 16-year-old girl down the street moved with us when he and mom divorced. It was a fight until I left at almost 18 for Mom's in California. The beatings and putdowns were relentless. Cracked two of my ribs etc... no CPS was even going to listen or even stop by. When a group of mothers got together and wanted to take me, I was suddenly begged to come home after I was told to leave and was living in a park. I missed one day of school in three weeks. He prosecuted me, made up a whole lot of stuff, I was not allowed to speak. I was going to kill him with some nonexistent axe when we had loaded guns on every table in the house. Psych ward, Jail, Drug rehab. All to save his job because the mothers had reported him to the department. Thank you for your story, I am sort of glad I wasn't alone.

WOW. I watched the video from 8 years ago and was truly inspired by Kevin. Til this day, when I hit the bench, I hear CT yelling "Hulk Smash!". I clicked on this video thinking, "Great, he's back! Kevin is gonna catch a case when he murders those sets at the gym". This was NOT about battling weights. This was about battling demons...and a very specific one. Came expecting hardcore weight lifting and left with not only that, but 100X the inspiration I originally anticipated. Kevin, thank you for sharing your story. when I was growing up my dad used to bash me so much that I hated every single moment If I lost my shoes I get hidings, I got scared of him even when he dropped me off at school, it had been happening for ages til I got taken away by my aunty who saved me from getting a beating from him after I moved back in with him thinking things would change how wrong was I, then one day I lost it so I punched him in the face which he never expected and I never took his bs anymore, I feel for Kevin and what he went through, I just wished his mother could've cared more but she didn't, but now it's your time to shine despite a set back, this story is very amazing and uplifting. Im so sorry for you both. I had a good father, army ranger in vietnam. Made me lift weights and practice judo and boxing because he raised me that when you see wrong you jump in there no matter what. To hear all 3 tell their life to us is a blessing on its own, and being NOLA east bank side I understand. My moms put me & my brother out her house. I was 10 he was 12. We lived on the streets for a good bit, end up selling drugs together from my friends uncle. The crazy part about this, he really taught me how to be man even though I was doing wrong. Fast forward, at age 15 I got a murder change with brother & and at that time, no such thing as juvenile life. So we both was sent to a juvenile ROTC camp…it was run by ex military men. I got my GED, and join the Army my brother join the Navy. I join in 1991, not to long after the gulf war. All being said, 4yrs after I was recommended to Army Ranger, server 25yrs and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 and I’m a Structural Placement Engineer since I came home. They called NOLA, “The Big Easy” but theirs nothing ez there still to this day. I have my heart to Yah, a made a promise to help any kid I can..I remember your story, I heard about it and never knew your dad was Beastmaster. You did well for yourself, stand tall warrior and keep conquering life challenges as they come to you. A set back is never a defeat, it’s a learning experience that will make you stronger, wiser and bless. Love you brother Keven Mr. CT, your sister & all your family.

I stopped to get food and seen the video and decided to watch. I'm a big fan. I use to get my hair cut at the same Barbershop that he went to. Let me say I was unable to eat my food because of my stomach being upset listening to this. It took me 20 minutes to get to a point to even see my screen to type. This is my new HERO!! I've never seen this type of treatment or did it my self but it have to be tragic. The mental state of someone that could physically do this is mind blowing. Man.. this damn near got me in tears. I definitely feel your pain. My abuse came from my mother. Then to always be told to just get over it. Mental health is very important.. we need help! It's what causes our anger, aggression, stress, etc.. I remember having to take beatings for my brother as well.. my mother was too brutal.. he was an bad asthmatic and very sickly child. My mother was ruthless... I drink and smoke heavily, very aggressive, etc.. because of it. I realize.. just gotta get help. I salute you, man. You aren't alone.....
