Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact FIRST GAMEPLAY 

I trust Eighting, they have the reputation for doing surprisingly competent games while being on a budget. And this REALLY looks like a budget game.

Graphic wise a little hesitant, but fuck seeing HxH getting a brand new console game in 2024 warms my heart. Mechanically / gameplay seems amazing as per expected but if we can improve the graphics just a bit, we’re seeing a much more solid game

This demo looks like an almost complete product, which is scary. They won't give us an launch date bc people are probably complaining already about the graphics and roster But the gampelay really looks good and with good neutral

They said somewhere that the budget is around $650,000. I'm more concerned over the small roster than graphics right now

One thing is for sure though, The story mode is either going to be non-existent or the story mode is going to be so ass that it would make Jump Force look like peak cinema

Feels like a Power Rangers Battle for the Grid. Solid fighter, not the prettiest but will draw in fighting game enthusiasts with indepth fighting system.

I feel like a problem I have with this is that it doesn't really feel like a Hunter x Hunter game. It just feels like a fighting game with hxh characters. With how crazy of a power system nen is , you'd expect them to at least name some of the things after nen. Overgear (no idea why they went with this name) could have easily been just been ren or ten. The gui isn't even giving HxH vibes . Idk maybe its just me.

16 characters for a 3v3 is wild, also this game would be sick if it was HXH X Yuyu hakusho would if been more interesting

Considering Battle for the Grid did pretty fine for itself I think this game will be very solid as long as it plays well and the online is functional

My first though was it's a psp game. Soo yeah, outdated graphics with a small roster, gonna be waiting for a big discount on this one.

I hope the UI and 2D effects get a glow up ‘cause I doubt the models will get too much extra done to them. It’s interesting to compare FighterZ and this game because both use a key pose heavy animation style but it does seem like FighterZ is better about including good anticipation, and a better color range. Less shading as well on this game. I’m not an expert or anything but I think there’s a lot of simple stuff that could be time intensive but not difficult given where they are already at.

This game is a amplified Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It uses the UMvC3 engine and modified a couple of things. Although it appears to look like a PS3 or a Wii game getting ported into modern hardware.

You're right, this DOES look very mvc, but I think in a good way. Some of the animations look a bit wonky but overall I like how this looks

If the roster is going to be 16 (total) it doesn’t need to be 3v3. Maybe 2v2 or 1v1 (once you zoom-in) for 3v3 I’d say make it 24 characters then you got me🤷🏽‍♂️

Funny how my main issue is the FIRST thing you complemented - the zoomed out camera ;;

Part of me wants to say they could still polish it up a bit to make it either look/perform better than we see here, but it is kind of difficult to say if that will be the case or not. Not to say this is bad, but this does look like something that would have released during the heyday of the PS2. If they wanted to capture that feeling, then mission accomplished, I guess. Still, it is early impressions and it could definitely get better when we see it next.

To be honest, the graphics aren’t great. It looks like a mobile game, but I don’t care. We are getting a 3 vs 3 hunter x hunter fighting game and I’m so excited. I never would’ve thought that I’ll be able to play a real hunter x hunter fighting game. This made my day

i like that its a 2d fighter instead of arena because of how much anime games are arena fighters. i noticed the assist characters health doesn't regen until the main character hits the opponent and when it happens the health regen is really fast, also the select screen looks like a ps2 game as in the overall aesthetic of it

This gonna be a no for me dawg. HxH is a perfect IP to do free roam exploration, this is not it bruh. We need more anime games with good graphical/animation immersion like how clean Dragon Ball Sparking Zero looks. I was hoping to play a game that would show off exploration like the anime, not a 2D psp fighter

I can already tell there's gonna be some wild combos/mixups lol I think the graphics get the job done and it makes me sad to see how many people are writing it off on that alone. This looks very similar to MvC so I'm sold! They even have incoming mixups when characters get switched in! And air dashes!

Honestly the roster size kinda makes sense cause when you really think about it not many characters have a lot of abilities or just haven't shown much of their abilities like do we really want the shadow beast worm as a character

Gampley mechanics look great! My biggest 2 complaints with the graphics are that the colors are a bit dull and there’s a lack of anticipation both with the character model animations and the 2D effects. If you look at how FighterZ does it, they have a similar key pose heavy animation style but they key frame the poses way better. It’s difficult to get the balance between clarity and look right when the game if this fast but smears and better 2D work can help bridge that gap. If you look at SSJ4 Gogeta’s jab for example, you can’t even see his arm fully extended but the hit effects, poses and 2D work still sell it. It doesn’t help that the interpolation is all at 60fps for key poses so the snappiness feels inconsistent. If I’m not mistaken, FighterZ supers are done at 12. Shading on faces would also be great

Hold on this looks better than I thought. I thinking we were getting something mid. But I see assists. I see air combos. Ground combos. Overheads!? Lows!? The characters are shmoving out here? HAPPY BIRTHDAYS!?(that’s a term when you get both the main character and the assist character in the same combo. Nah this might be gas. They might be cooking. Ngl I was hoping for a 3D Fighter because we seriously need more good 3D Fighting games out here. Tekken is literally breaking its poor back carrying the 3D love. Really are fighting games allergic to fully 3D or something? Maybe an agenda against 3D fighters in the background we don’t know about? I’m just saying looks a little suspicious.
