Mahalos for sharing. Hawaii is tough to hunt especially because of the terrain and the humidity. Those spanish goats will sometimes run of the cliffs after taking a shot as well. Good luck on the next hunt! 🤙🏽
I would love to hunt the other islands and they are for sure on my bucket list. I come to Oahu once a year for work so the flight is covered under work travel. To add the other islands would cost money I just don’t have.
Let me know if you plan on going back there! I have gotten makua pretty dialed the past few years with success every trip. The key is getting to the top for the evening hours and narrowing down the couple bowls back there. They come out by the hundreds!
Yeah it was crazy. My biggest struggle was the heat and not being in great shape. Took 5 liters of water and still got real close to heat exhaustion. I will most likely be back next October for work and will tag on some extra vacation days. Do you know of any hunting options on the DOD installations on the island?

im going nex month any area impiculer you could suggest im hunting iwht a cross bow but am a newish hunter and this is going to my first public land hunt

I will be back on the island in October for work but just had ACL surgery so I am not sure if I will be cleared to climb those mountains come October.
