Thanks for the comment! It's been about 3-4 months, and I still love the saw. Mainly for its light weight and ease of cranking. Initial crank is one pull on choke and then one more pull, when it's cold. And, I can one-hand it over the tailgate.
Yea, I saw that pic of the cedar piece you did.. That's awesome! Maybe one day I can get around to doing that. But, I am cutting a few slabs of different species. I'll have them when I get the time. All the wood I'm cutting now is for sheds, barn, a couple cabins. Looking for homestead property somewhere in the Appalachian mountains now. I have some must haves such as bordering National Forest, water, privacy, some open and kinda flat areas, and good timber. Wife just wants a waterfall. I can make that happen with a pump, retaining pool, and a good fall. Helped a guy put in a 60' run with 15' of drop beside his deck. Not too difficult. Gathering tools, and supplies like gates, spring boxes, rain barrels, even been rooting trees, shrubs, and vines. I'll begin that part of the channel very soon. I'm trying to design a spring box from an ice chest. Haven't found the right bushing for inlet and exit pipe yet. Lots of ideas. I need to get them up on some videos. Feedback on RU-vid is pretty awesome. I need to post a video of my parbuckling system.
Just picked this up tonight at tractor supply, they had a poulan pro for 189+ tax, the husqvarna 435e was 269+ tax, so i decided to pay a lil more and get the brand with the better reviews. So when the manager came back from the back without my husqvarna i was a little disappointed, but he sold me the one on the shelf with a 15% off for not having any in stock, so i paid 280 with a bottle of bar oil out the door, im clearing land on my 6 acre homestead in the morning!!
You will not be disappointed. That’s a great deal you got too. Ive had mine over a year and a half, absolutely no problems. I take compressed air and clean air filter, cooling fins, and gunk around the sprocket and chain. Just don’t forget like i do about the chainbrake. After a couple pulls, if she doesn’t fire, then i reset the chainbrake. Also, may not tell you in the manual, but highly advisable to do a series of break ins. Cut a few minutes, let it cool down while you move the brush or logs, then go again. A few times ought to do it.
Thanks for your review with good detail included. I just bought one of these. Starts easy and very light weight. Plan to use it for pruning fruit trees and bushes. Quick question for you: Have you noticed the saw leaking excessive amounts of bar oil when it sits. Mine leaks a puddle overnight? Thanks again for the video.
410mossberg, hi and thanks for the comment. Answer is yes, bar oil leaks out. That being said, it leaks out just as much on my Stihl ms391 & my greenworks battery saw. Saw repair guy once told me, if it ain't leaking oil out, then your oiler is clogged up. Kinda messy to leave laying around tho. I just repurpose cardboard box to lay my saws on. I have a ton since my wife is always ordering stuff online :). But I'd be open to any suggestions on how saws can be carried and not lay oil all over the bed of my truck. Had a saw with a carrying case, but saw leaked all on the inside of the case.
@@backwoodshomestead482 Thanks for your response. Over the last week or so I've been laying the saw on its side with the bar up. It doesn't leak from the gas or oil caps so I don't lose any oil that way. It's the only way I can come up with. Awkward, but it works. Thanks again.
3 years later what are your thoughts on it boss? just picked one up. we have always run stihl but i was able to get this saw at tractor supply on my tsc credit card with 12 months no interest
Thanks for the comment! Translated I think it's Finnish for "It would be nice to see how the saw plays". I have been meaning to do a follow up video since it's been over a year.
Have been helping my wife transition her business. I have gone and picked up 14 nice pine logs. 4 averaged 12" and the rest over 20" diameter. Around 1800-2000 boards feet, I figure. It'll be about a month before I get back to sawing. Believe me, I'm ready.
Moondoggie’s Homestead Journey I hear ya sounds great and nice to hear from ya. Just got my saw reset up and mounting a winch on my trailer.try to haul some logs maybe week after.i go on call tomorrow so can’t do much for a week.couple weeks back I finally got my saw set up.and guess what happened my neighbor came over and told me I had my stuff on his property.after three years of mowing and keeping up I have never heard a word from him.so I had to end up getting my land surveyed which he was correct.he coulda said something three years ago.had a good size chicken pen and yard had to move also lol. I learned my lesson don’t believe what ya hear sometimes. The people I bought the land from well they wasn’t correct telling me where it was . LOL
@@backwoodshomestead482 nice i found this one on craigslist im not sure if is the same as yours fayetteville.craigslist.org/tls/d/fayetteville-chainsaw-new/7149196224.html
Carlos Sosa, looks to be a good deal. But, I was taught the old saying, "looks can be deceiving." I am naturally a cautious person. I would ask him (1) Is that a stock photo of the chainsaw, or the actual one to be sold? It is obvious that he's holding the box, but I'd be leery of the stock photo. (2) Can you text me a couple more photos of the actual chainsaw? So that you can inspect for damage. For instance, if you have to replace a new bar and chain, you could almost buy a new saw. (3) How many hours have it been used? If those questions can be answered satisfactory, I'd buy the saw. I'd also bring a piece of wood with me, crank the saw, and try it out.
*push the primer 6 times and let it rip I like the saw for the price👀 **allabout.wiki/Chainsaw** used maybe 10 tanks of fuel, 6 loads of hard wood and am very pleased with it. some will say its under powered for a 20" but I like it better then a 18". I have a 18" also which is great also just like the extra 2" inches. the saw is very light also which is nice. Huskavarna owns Husqvarna so I am sure it will last. its not a sthl but still love it! I have seen some bad reviews on the saw but do not agree with them. some people told me not to waste my money but have since changed there mind. just have some common sense and cut some wood!*
