My dampener keep staying shut for both zones. It will randomly open on its own. It works if I shut the AC unit off for several hours then back on. What could it be or how can I by pass the dampener for both zones?
Basically because they pretty much function the same. If I'm not mistaken, the only function you're missing if you don't wire it to W1/E is the ability to be able to run emergency heat from the Zone board by pressing the emergency heat button. You definitely want to have it wired w1/E at the thermostat though.
The Purge function opens the dampers and runs the fan for a set amount of time, I believe between 2 to 5 minutes after a thermostat satisfied. The Purge override button cancels that program.
