Interesting to hear a low body temperature can cause hypokalemia ? Please more information on this. Both me mom and I have been diagnosed with this in recent years and we both have low “normal “ body temperatures. 97.2- 97.6 can be our normals.
I had always looked for this type of board-less direct teaching method, writing it on the screen or paper most of the time makes it less likely to be recalled in practice!

Doc am a 64 year old patient i was operated on my thyrroiud gland last October 2014. After that operation i experienced epilepsy and then right now am suffering from hypocalcemia. Most of the time am in and out of the hospital due to low potassium . can you give me some tips or what food to eat so i may stop this stress. Besides am taking so many calcium medicines and also valproic acid for my epilepsy
I'm checking my potassium level every 4 weeks... this is the only way I can catch it before it drops to much. With medications it will increase to 4,2-4,6, but after a few weeks it's back to 3,5 (yes, that's normal, but if I wait much longer, then it drops lower and faster to 2,8... ). It started when I was 24 years old. The first year we didn't realize it, but after couple of nights at emmergency room I started to get my blood tested every 4 weeks. And I don't have any problems with hormons, kidneys and etc. This is my only healt problem.....

My neurologist says I have hypokalemic periodic paralysis but my levels of potassium were normal during attack. I know I have periodic paralysis but not convinced it’s hypokalemic.
