Too bad it’s still limited to 60 kW DC charging. At 80-90 kW it really would crush the Leaf...

I'd say you both are right. For backing the camera is standard so no problems with the design

I think maybe the stuff needed to produce flashing or strobing LEDs is more expensive than just having static LEDs? And can you get purely orange LEDs? or do you have to mix RGB LEDs to make the right colour? A standard 501 bulb with orange glass is about 50p and thats buying 1 off from an motor factors. From an energy standpoint they're not used enough to make any meaningful saving by switching to LED and there is nothing to be gained by piercing brightness because they aren't used to light the way.

@@0tispunkm3y3r Getting an LED to blink is like the most basic thing ever and not different from gettinga bulb to blink. Orange LEDs are easily available and even cheap as hell for consumers (you can get 100 orange LEDs for 60 cent on Aliexpress). It was probably just cheaper in development/manufacturing to stick a bulb in there and call it a day.

@@0tispunkm3y3r Actually a regular bulb has the advantage to be slow while going out (afterglow). So other drivers (if they are a bad driver and only look shortly) don't miss the blinker when looking at the car while the blinker is in the off phase of the interval.

Model Y coming soon. If our kids were still young and at home, our Model 3 would excellent also. This new 38Kwh looks like it would be ok........in the early days, our family (camping) holidays were in an old Renault 4. Great times.

​@@cbromley562 you could definitely put 2 kids and 2 adults in pretty much any Golf-sized EV, but squeezing a couple of suitcases with a baby carriage seems to be a challenge. The closest thing I can imagine, which would server the purpose is Model X, but I find it hard to justify spending 90000+ euros for something, that could be solved with a combi/station wagon 1/3rd of it's price.

@@curlyivashka I know what your're saying. But we used to throw in a home made kayak and 4 man ridge tent as well. The thing is, we weren't compelled to wear seat belts then, so you could pack the kids in the available spaces ;0) My parents used to ferry us in VW Beetles......same logistics. We still had to pay a king's ransom for these old wrecks........they were relatively more expensive then. I do understand times have changed, but we seem to demand more than we need now. We'd have been 'stoked' with this Ioniq.
