I know thats true with just the little ive read below and even more so now that i am back. I promise to do my best to get back on a steady schedule here again. I liked to watch your content for the “Japan isn’t all perfect, here it’s what’s wrong with it” there are enough people who romanticize the country a little bit too much, having someone who brings all the japanophiles (including me) black to reality is important and highly educating

Do you do any other activities outside of running a school? I went to Osaka exactly today 1 year ago and went to a concert in Amerikamura Drop, it was weird and fun seeing the square there that you filmed videos at.

I'm an ALT. Every city is doing things a little differently. This week is the first that I haven't gone in every day. I've seen most of my students. Several cities in my area have decided that teachers should only come in every few days. I'm working from home on the days I don't go in. Some people are just now making videos for their students. Your kids are cute and very informative. I'd love more info on support for foreigners who don't speak Japanese well.

I am so glad you are back. And your videos ARE great - entertaining and informative - and unbiased. {I am a 88 year old lady living in a remote village in the UK and all over 70s have just finished a 12 week strict lockdown called Sheltered, we were not even allowed to even open the door to anyone. Free groceries were delivered weekly) by the local Council and in this country everyone with a job got 80% of their wage. I wondered if you could sometimes include Japanese country living as opposed to city life. Many thanks.

He's back! Nice to see you again, your channel is one of the reasons that I became an ALT. I'm just starting my second year. As for the job, I'm pretty lucky. Schools closed for the entire month of March but we still got paid due to our contracts. They tried to start the school year like normal but it didn't last. I got to teach all of a single class before the SoE was instated. Now classes are cancelled but I still have to go to work. It sucks, but I'm still getting paid. Keep on keepin on man!
Me too, I've returned to the states and in desperation situations since, keep getting locked out of my Google accounts, and every time I had to make a new one, I subbed again, just hoping he'd be back. The day has come! 😀

Hell yeah, good to see you back. Funny enough I just found your channel again, recently. I was on a Japan vlog/blog trip a few years ago and pretty much binged channels like Givemeabreakman, Rachel & Jun and yourself. Somewhere down the line I had less and less time for RU-vid and lost access to my old account but found everyone again earlier this year except you. I Couldn't remember your name, so I tried stuff like plowing through Victor's channel because I was pretty sure you guys did something together at one point or he at least mentioned you. I even googled "pierced Jvlogger" and tried to find that one horror indie film you uploaded for Christ's sake. But to no avail until I stumbled upon this channel again out of nowhere about 2 months ago and I'm damn glad I did. Stay safe, brother.
What I always liked about your video's is that they are genuine, you don't clean them up, you don't try to make things look better than they are. I have always been interested into Japan, and your channel was and is a source of information that I like. Also I love the interaction between you and your kids ;) I haven't really got the daddy mentality (I don't have children of my own) but it still made me smile a lot. And like others said before, I don't come here for the video quality, but for the content!
Been watching since video 1, but I was using another account back then. Your videos are unique because you are (or at least seem) extremely genuine. You aren't playing a persona to force anything. Turns out, you have a great personality and are into some really cool things. For me, it is like any (in person) friend. I don't expect them to be at my house daily, and I don't need them to WOW me every moment. I do enjoy updates, random conversations, and whatever else they naturally bring to the table. Same here. Glad to see you are well and your kids are too cool! Add vids as often or not as you do, I'll watch 'em all. You rock.
