I always use cruise control when taking long trips. If I don't use it I have an tendency to be a bit heavy on the right foot. Even better when using adaptive cc, then you can be even more chill

Adaptive cruise has saved me from many speeding tickets. Sadly, as far as I can tell, none of the manual Porsches have it.

What kind of loan did you get on the Cayman or did you? As in terms of months since it is an older car with miles?

Yep cruise control when I do want good fuel economy! I have base 987.2 and have gotten it up to 33 mpg!

When you get up here to AA lets take that cayman into the paint shop and have them put a nice fat Michigan Maize Yellow stripe just offset from the center of the hood.

I'm not even sure if the cruise control works on my Cayman. The only road trip I've taken with it I was stuck on Atlanta traffic for hours. It was brutal with a manual trans.

I've had 3 Porsches, started with a 924 - being an old car needed some work - but once sorted didn't let me down. Currently have a Cayman S - has had no real issues and drama apart from regular servicing (has 104k). Third one is a Porsche Boxster 986 (79.5k) - again, no issues, had a clutch and flywheel change which was the biggest cost. Other than that they are solid cars and I don't think I could go to any other car after these. You may just be unlucky with yours.
