The Works entered their own Team Cars at Le Mans in the 1930s. They are all prefixed 'LM' and there are only 22. At one point they were all painted red as green was deemed unlucky!

Hope they have scanned all those original designs! And “almost” what can’t they do if they are building new engines from scratch? James how you don’t have millions of subscribers is baffling to me :)

We have all the existing original drawings produced by Aston-Martin before 1940 which allow us to make all our spare parts to original specifications. We also use laser scanning and even CT scanning for some of the more complex parts which we combine with 3D printed sand to produce very accurate castings of parts like cylinder heads. It is very important to us to appropriately combine modern technology with traditional craftsmanship to ensure the best quality and highest accuracy in all the work we do.

i love classic car owners man they own these incredibly rare car that you cant just buy off the shelf parts for anymore and not only do they drive them they race the fuckers not just stick em in a garage where all the amazing engineering is going to waste like many modern rare cars do
