Spending a month on a dexcom has been amazing. I was almost able to forget about type 1 diabetes completely. I just let control-IQ do its job and all i have to do is remember to carb count.
That was until I decided to snack on a bag of Popchips and it brought my whole world crashing down.

Hi Jamie, thank you for posting this video, being a T1 2, can so identify with what you had to say. I am on the Medtronic 780G, amazing pump, and 2 feel at times that I am no longer diabetic, until I have that snack that I feel I can control, but in some cases pay dearly for it later, sometimes not worth it. The stupid thing is I do the same thing again, hoping for a different outcome, only to pay for it again. With this said, if we act responsibly and eat our treats in moderation, our pumps should serve us well, and we should get much needed extended sleeps. Thank you for sharing your experience, which helps remind all us T1's, out there, that we are not alone with our challenges, and we are normal in all our challenges, we need to stop beating ourselves up over our condition, we are doing our best, sometimes our body just gives us the middle finger, and we are left scratching our heads lol

Hi Jamie. Hahaha you really made me laugh with your description of your experience with the crisps and hypos post corrections as I can totally identify with it. Glad you generally getting on with dexcom. I came across your content while I was looking for reviews and experiences with omnipod and tendem pumps as I came to the end of my Medtronic 640g. And unfortunately after being with Medtronic for nearly 20 years, with this recent pump I lost my faith and confidence with them. And really looking into something else. As for your experience with the crisps: I have noticed you mentioned you had been eating less carbs and I am guessing you were doing a bit of keto diet. Personally for me: keto/low carb diet gave me amazing results in terms of time in range as well as weight management. But it was hard to keep up especially with the hypos ( mainly in the begining) but I recently came across some people that said that this diet actually increased their insulin resistance ( for example Christal from Diabetic strong channel). Perhaps this could be the reason you has this issue with the crisps.
